If so, make sure you set the volume right around -12dB when you speak to the mic and keep the distance consistent at around 5 inches, then you can get pretty good sounding.

Do you need to set your phone's radio source when recording video, or do you stay connected when you record with a microphone? You can connect headphones for real-time monitoring to see if the microphone is working.

Does the system recognize the microphone device when you connect the USB to the computer? If the device is not recognized, it may be a driver problem. Yeah, because the supply voltages are different, if you want to keep the RGB while connected with XLR, you'll need to connect USB to boot. You can use some desktop cable management gadgets to avoid messing up the wiring, or it's not really necessary to upgrade to XLR if you're more RGB oriented.
