If you're going to visit Jesus, yes, take a ride, the walk up there is exhausting (uphill!) and butt ugly in worn out house neighbourhoods with shady areas along the way. If you have a dog with you, skip Jesus, he doesn't approve of our four legged furry family members, not even in the fenced area around the monument. I wish I had taken a ride as the shitty walk was for nothing in the end. My pup slept well after that long walk though....
Oh boy, we thought about walking & then when the taxi took us we said how glad we were that we decided to use the taxi.
