There is something so calming about Disney when it rains. It makes you feel as if you have the whole place to yourself. 🍿🍿🍿
Yep that’s true, especially in this case! Literally everyone disappeared even before it started to rain!
Still my favorite Disney Resort Hotel.... The Poly is second... She still looks Grand ! Thanks for posting !

Wow walking in the rain is pretty peaceful the atmosphere of the hotel was nice and the sound of rain pouring with quite comforting hope you had a poncho on you
I didn’t have a poncho but did have an umbrella! It wasn’t very useful during the heavy wind/rain though lol
One of the best lobbies on property. Really like the piano playing. And the views across the lagoon..they are fantastic! Excellent rainy day resort stroll 4K. Is the Poly next on a rainy day?
I agree, it’s probably my favorite lobby at any WDW resort! Unfortunately I didn’t get any rain footage at the Poly last week, but I’m sure I’ll have a chance in the coming months! Glad you enjoyed this rainy day vid as always Andrew, thank you!!

It's probally up there as one of my least favorite Disney resorts, right next to Saratoga springs
🌧A comparison of vintage music, a storm & a hotel can't help but conjure up the Hollywood Hotel scenario lol. So eerie with no one in the pool (nice to see it closer not seeming like a creeper👍🏻) I just remember the room just seeming noisy from the lagoon traffic. That overhang came is so handy, just for you lol. Heard your walkway is reopening so I guess that's positive for your step count. You were one soggy person that week filming, but a hurricane didn't stop you, so I expect no less💪🏼Thx 4💜
I really wish Disney would’ve made the TOT an actual hotel to stay in like it was talked about originally! It’s never too late to add some rooms to that honestly, what a game changer that would be! I’m so grateful for that overhang because the umbrella was essentially useless during the heavy rain/wind lol. Yep, the walkway is back open! It’s been torture for me without it😂 Got a couple more rain videos on the way, but may save them for the weekend. Thanks so much Liz!!

Rainy Day Series!! Grand Flo’ is such a beautiful resort!! Wow, those sweeping views of the Main Lobby!! Gorgeous!! The grounds! As beautiful as the inside!! Capturing the shots of the buildings against the clouds just helps the red of the roof pop right out of the screen!! The clouds may be ominous, but you caught them beautifully for our enjoyment!! Nice! If not for the cranes, that look up the beach toward the Wedding Pavilion and the Poly would have been a perfect postcard!! (Fantastic view and framing…just the cranes….) Ah, the rain…would be a wonderful time out on one of those balconies with a cup of tea (sticking with the new Mary Poppins theaming 😉) !!
Glad I could capture the resort on a stormy day! Filming storms/rainy days is always so much fun for me! It’ll be interesting to see how Disney changes the look of the main lobby eventually, but am hoping the changes will be subtle. Thanks so much as always Rick! 😃

Grand Floridian is a place to be savoured but I’m guilty of not giving it the time it deserved when I had the chance. This was really enjoyable, especially with the rainy weather. Disney is sometimes better when wet 😊.

i always miss seeing this resort leaving it the day i fly bach home after staying there a whole entire week but on a positive note; at least i get to see this beauty queen of a resort the very time i visit disney world 🥰💘💖 wait a minute, i flat forgot to bring my umbrella while watching this video, oh wait, here it is…..🌂☂️☔️…..😂
I’m glad you make these videos when I imagine that it’s very hot and humid. I always start melting there after early March. This is when I want to be home in Alaska for the summer with our kids and grandkids riding bikes and hiking in the mountains!!

It’s nice to walk around. It’s a staple of WDW history. But for that price point; I’m staying at the Poly.
I’d rather ride the speedway than stay at GF.

Does Disney own rights to Leonard Cohen's music? If not he might be able to use the start of this video as evidence in a lawsuit
I’d bet Disney has a license through BMI (or other such source) to allow unticketed public performance of published, copyrighted music throughout their resorts and parks. Lawsuits would be possible if the artist excluded their work from such licensing (some do).
Never liked those chandeliers. Too much on them; looks like they're covered in some kind of growth. They need something simpler and more elegant there. Do love the carpets; I hope they'll keep them.
I honestly have no idea what direction they’ll go with the lobby refurbishment , so it’ll be very interesting to see what they come up with
