- Don't miss this beautiful garden tour! Join me as I visit four unique and absolutely lovely private gardens in the Netherlands. The gardens were filmed in late June and range from five years old to over 300 years old and 1/2 acre to 34 acres. I have always believed that touring other gardens can be very inspiring and these gardens are no exception!

Oh, this was lovely! Thank you for making the effort to film your gardener's vacation to share with us. So many terrific features and inventive plantings. Quite the inspiration. It's hot here in August, and we are in a drought, so the views of green lawns are a balm. The sheer scale of famous formal gardens is impressive; if you have not seen it, there was a 4 part BBC series called The Secret History of the British Garden, hosted by Monty Don. One part for each century, 17th through 20th. It's on RUclips. I'm obsessed with it! :)
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I I just find looking at other gardens to be so inspiring that I really did want to share. I love the BBC gardening shows with Monty Don, but have yet to see those. But, now I will be sure to track them down.

Are you kidding me? You were so close to me we could have gone for a coffee in my garden, I live behind Apeldoorn next to the German border. I am happy you went to all my favorite gardens. If there will be a next time for you to come to the Netherlands, go to the gardens of Amsterdam, hidden by the monumental houses. There are some gems behind it.

@@RosannesGarden If there's an opportunity, go to those hidden Amsterdams gardens. You have to enter for tickets, they only allow a certain amount of visitors. You will absolutely love it. We will drink coffee in my garden together for sure.

Hello! What a coincidence - yesterday my daughter and I went to a garden center (because you inspire us so much) and we were driving around afterward and I swear we went by your house (the iron work, weeping pine, and garage door seemed identical). That was so surprising. Anyway, glad to see a video from you again.
Isn't that funny though? I bet you were driving around because of all the road construction and closed roads around here! Those garage doors are pretty unique, so I'm sure it was our house.

Have you visited huis het Loo in Apeldoorn ?
There is also nice tulip called Apeldoorn.
I guess now in August you could buy tulip bulbs there ...

Thank you Marcus. I did visit the Palace Het Loo, which I believe is the same as "huis het Loo". I have had Apeldoorn tulips - they are so tall and sturdy! Thank you for watching and commenting.

Apeldoorn Tulips are very strong and reliable rebloomers if planted deep enough.
Nice that you visit gardens in Europe ...do you think there is a huge difference compared to the States?
I hope you bought your tulip bulbs in the Netherlands ...
Hopefully your garden is not suffering from drought as here in Europe ...we all need rain ...but it will be a dry August as well ...
This is terrible for all the plants and trees ...and wild life in general ...
We need a miracle ...

Love your videos. Your own beautiful old fashioned garden is so nice to see. But the fences and house would be much more enchanted with a coat of “Amsterdam Canalgreen paint” A beautiful darkgreen paint that fades to blue during the years. Greetings to the Netherlands! I imagine you are right about the color, but I don't think it will happen 😉. It sounds like a lot of work at this point. However, had we a wooden house which needed painting, as opposed to stucco, painting it Amstersdam Cannal green would be very very attractive. Glad you're enjoying my channel.
