    Are you flipping the thighs starting skin side down? Are you basting? If so, when for both? Thanks 🙏🏽

    Have you tried the charcoal pellets? I use them for burgers, hot dogs and brats. I really like them for those foods.

    Hey dad! Have you noticed the plastic around the top of the smoke box melting on your ninja? Mines melting and getting sticky from melted plastic and idk what’s causing it.

    my woodfire grill sometimes ignites the pellets but it just doesnt ignite the rest and goes out after like 5-10mins, any thoughts?
    might it be the wind? or smth else

    • @DadGotThis
      @DadGotThis  3 месяца назад

      Do they really go out or just go into the "clean burn". They do not burn fully with big huge plumes of white smoke the whole time. That is actually a "dirty smoke" and not as good for the food. The lighter almost invisible smoke that you smell but don't have to see clouds of is actually preferred. If you just let it run will the whole hopper eventually be empty and ash or is is still full of unburnt pellets after more than 2 hours?

    How long did you smoke your chicken thighs?

    • @DadGotThis
      @DadGotThis  Месяц назад

      I cooked to temp not to by time. I believe they took about 20 to 30 minutes.

    While I appreciate your videos, I am perplexed as to why someone would purchase this oven as opposed to using a home oven. I can appreciate people who want to cook outside and are limited by space and apartment rules, but as far as I am concerned, if it doesn't provide a noticeable wood smoke flavor, then it is not worth the money. I have seen a lot of videos on this product from creators and its pretty universally known that the smoke flavor is light at best. I would only see the use if this oven as a griddle but there are much inexpensive options out there. Pass.

    • @DadGotThis
      @DadGotThis  2 месяца назад +5

      I would have to disagree that you only get a “light” smoke flavor with it. I have had multiple things I cooked where my wife has said it had TOO MUCH smoke flavor.

      We've had this for a few months now, and I would say that it kicks out PLENTY of smoke flavor, and it's much simpler to use than our previous Brinkman and Masterbuilt (though you could do more with the Masterbuilt based on sheer size)
