That’s a tough pill to swallow! And a tough job. Nice persistence and good video for farm life and used equipment maintenance

Its very important that the 3 rods that go through all the blocks to hold them together have clean threads and the nuts are good . And torque them exactly how the book says or the valves will stick for sure ,maybe not all of them but 1 or more will . The only reason I know is cause I went through it also 3 times before I found out about that.

For sure. We torqued the rods nuts down and applied torque in steps much like a head. I still had a slightly sticky spool but it's better after some use.

@@weathda good deal , I know how aggravating it is to put everything together and have a problem . I didn't know it was so important when I did mine so I figured if I knew of anyone rebuilding those and having problems I'd at least through it out there. Glad u got it working.

Don't they bench test these things before they return them to you? Seems like the issues after first install would have been easily addressed the first time if they'd put in an extra 15 minutes and a spring and some rings.

I was totally shocked by the incompetence of the shop doing the reseal. It still blows my mind.

@@weathda To be honest I think you would have done a better job than those two shops. Pretty sad not fixing the valve bank right the 1st time. 310c, 4wd. extend here. Not nearly as complicated as yours. Thanks for the video.

@@jefffrayer8238 yeah, I’ve about come to the conclusion to do something right, you have to do it yourself. There are exceptions but I don’t have any luck finding those exceptional places. Sounds like you’ve got some nice features with 4wd and extendahoe.

Great video! What a pain!! I have a 310SE. I found a leak coming from outrigger valve. (If that's what it is called) it is below the sticks behind the large unit you were working with. Can you help me to identify this valve? I seem to have found a small split in the case leaking like a stuck pig!!! Thanks!

Thanks! I pity your condition. Your description sounds like the stabilizer valve bank. If it's cracked it's either new valve section or maybe weld it up. Never heard of welding a valve back but it might be possible. The tolerances are so tight for the spools that welding might distort it too much. I'd be looking for a used one of a parts machine before I bought new. Deere parts online has good parts diagrams. Deere is expensive as you probably know. Best of luck with it.

Hard to say without more details. Could be your priority valve. Is it getting hot and does the machine sound like it’s under load?

Technically, you could replace the seals without removing the valve bank but it'd be challenging getting the bottom seals in. It's really not too bad. The worst part of it all is getting the valve bank off. I wish I'd videoed taking it apart.
