I don't know much about power metal. On some Thrash metal video a few weeks ago another user told me that power metal is for pansies, and that no one with balls like power metal. But I decided to check out some power metal vids on youtube and decide for myself. And after this video, I must say so far power metal sounds pretty good! I mean, I still like Thrash more but I think I can get into this stuff. I'm going to look up some more videos. Good job andyx90.
I'm totally agree with your favourite solos about consider them great solos, What about some of Dionysus, Anubis Gate, Circus Maximus, Dragonland, Evil Masquerade, Luca Turilli's albums, Richard Andersson or Virtuocity?...specially Dionysus his guitar player is in my opinion one of the best guitar players of the whole world, He's called Johny Ohlin...I know that this could sound sacrilegious but I think that he's even better than Malmsteen creating and in tecnique too...

I have also heard Nightwish before but I didn't know they were power metal. I was thinking they were Goth or Symphonic metal or something.
i personally disagree with guitar hero its makes people pick up some shitty gibson and thinking its gonna be pressing 5 buttons get bored and drop guitars that belong in loving hands and i think peeople can listen to whatever they want and besides metals not supposed to be popular remember the glam scene?

@Pridery27 well sonata stratovarius and angra have prog elements everyone knows that yeah germans have invented power metal but for me finns have expanded power metal with prog and symphonic elements and for sure neoclassical is prog i mean its complex oh and which german band use neoclassical non oh im sorry

Crimson Glory Wintersun as a power metal band was barely arguable during the debut. Time you can argue, but Winter Madness was from the debut.
