Hey Matt. Another great install 👌 The IE IC not only looks bigger but that technology to distribute the air more evenly sounds like it makes the best use of the extra size too. Haha, thanks for the weather update, that made me laugh. I was worried there were no blue skys with the garage door closed the whole time 😆 Not envious at all of course 😉, it's like 21 (-6c) at night and 30 (-1 to 0c) in the day this last week, what's not to love 🤦 Keep up the great videos, loving seeing the S4 come along.
Thanks man. I figure you’d enjoy that update lol. I actually had the door open, but it wasn’t as bright as usual. We had some clouds and rain over the weekend but it was still decent temperature wise. We actually got down to the low 40s this week so that was fun lol.
@@myleswalshe3451 I’m sure you would. I was offered an assignment in DE or the UK. It would be 3 years. I think I could give up the weather here for traveling there. Maybe 😂
@@Wobblenuts sounds like a great opportunity.. I think knowing you were able to return to the sunshine state would make it bearable 😆 I've family in California and they say they miss having proper seasons, though I do tell them the novelty wears off quick!
You being backlit the whole time reminds me of those hidden identity Dateline and 20/20 interviews, like you don't want CTS to know your identity with who's changing out their parts for IE.
Hahaha that is so true. I’m working on getting better lighting in there. If the housing market wasn’t such a mess I’d have a much bigger setup. But I’m thankful for what I have at least.
Are those bracket its sitting on metal?? Cuz i noticed that the intercooler quite heavy when I received mine and not only I don’t like the idea of it being bolted to the plastic part of radiator but also, let’s say you going over the bump, and all that weight wants to break away is there a metal support that intercooler sits on??thanks!
The ones at the bottom? The bracket on the intercooler are metal, and the car is plastic. Honestly once installed it is very very solid, and I have put some miles on my car, have definitely hit some good bumps and no issues have come up. Actually, even a few months ago I hit an animal unfortunately and the intercooler or brackets sustained no damage. I wouldn't worry about it 😎
Hey man nice vid. I just ordered mine. Do you have to take off crash bar? I saw another video where I guy installed the ECS one without removing it but maybe IE is different.
I appreciate it. You don’t have to remove the crash bar if you’re up high enough on jack stands. But it wasn’t difficult to remove so I figure I’d just do it that way.
Thank you so much. I do have the TCU tune, and it is 100% worth it. I love the way the car drives now. I have been thinking lately that I will go stage 2. Probably sooner than later.
Hardest part for me was removing the oem charge pipe from the throttle body. How do you like the ie ecu and tcu tune? I have it but didn’t flash it yet, scared to lose my warranty.
Did you do the CTS charge pipe too? I absolutely love the IE tunes. Seriously the best upgrade I’ve done. I was worried about the warranty stuff too, but I have no regrets.

@@Wobblenuts lol, you figured right, very honoured.
I'd happily take 40s and cloudy right now! Stay safe 👍

gracias por tu vídeo! ¿Que tu sepas este producto entra en una valija para transportar en avión?
Hola lo siento, no hablo español. El intercooler es muy grande. No estoy seguro de que encaje. Tal vez debajo del avión?
That’s a monster intercooler bro I love it
Thanks my dude 🙌🏻 Mods are coming for your new whip soon enough.

very love your video,i have same car B9 S4 and i have question, did you buy the IE TCU tune? and do you want to update IE stage 2 in future?

@@Wobblenuts Thank you, because see the ie stage 2 are not really increase the horse power is just for the downpipe.
Is this the same procedure for the A4 B9 as well?
I imagine it would be very similar.
Hey what brand of Rs5 style grille did you use
I got it from carbon labs
