Even though the “show” shows some of the complexities of these amazing machines in the pits it doesn’t do y’all justice. Seeing rusty with out its coverings was awesome, that’s some crazy engineering under that popcorn bowl.
I just love the Daniel vs Diana "shouting match" at the end. Battlebots is a competitive environment, meaning there's moments with a lot of stress. And sometimes the cameras catch the builders at their worst. Add to that how Daniel goes into his zone during competition, and he's kinda gotten a bad rap in some parts of the fandom. So I'm glad to see him here in unstressed moments and seeing that he is actually a really cool guy.
You can tell it's all in good fun because their were containing their rage to the point where it was safe outside the box. XD
Same! I believe some of these guys have Facades/Tv personaalities, just for show. Daniel does probably have a serious side, but it only comes out in competition when everything matters. Everything else is just for fun.
I got to meet him at a smaller competition a little while ago, the whole riobotz team is so sweet and wholesome.
I love Rotator's consistency. You see a lot of teams these days with so many different configurations for different opponents, like Endgame with their wedges and forks, or Ribbot with two completely different weapons. Rotator looks the same in every fight and performs well every time.
I hated that about bombshell, idk which season but bombshell had like 10 configs or sth
Don’t fix what isn’t broken. Most of their upgrades I feel like have been internals for the most part.
*laughs in 48 configurations for a bot i designed*
Rotator has upper blade and lower blade configuration and back wedge vs back wedgelet configurations. Additionally there’s the double blade configuration but they’ve been reluctant to use that one since season 4 or 5.
@@haosmagnaingram6992 I thought the double blade config was an older design. I was talking about fight-to-fight changes rather than season-to-season.
I love how the duck team can make their bots strong and get Yeeted around for a bit then beat the bot somehow.
What I love most about Duck is his team. I love how they show so much personality... I can't explain it, but I really love them! As for Duck I like how they managed to make a robot with so much charisma. Like, you look at Duck and you automatically sympathize with them! I love it...
There’s something so satisfying watching rotator in a match, it dishes out super clean hits with a weapon that just doesn’t stop spinning. Duck’s durability is always entertaining to see in action, like in its fight with Witch Docton.
Oh yes, witch docton💀
I love how both rotator and duck can take a frankly absurd amount of damage, and still move and even win matches! I always love seeing robots with parts flying off and bits hanging out still charging each other at full speed!
I LOVE Duck's Rocky fighting style: "Block every punch with your face!"
I absolutely love the personality of each bot and their crew. Rotator's glitz and glam is delightfully cheesy, and Duck is... Duck! QUACK
I love watching Duck fly. It’s what he’s best at, taking flight and keeps going.
Zack, Diana... meeting you in Vegas was a highlight of my year. Thank you so much for spending time with us even at the end of a long day.
I love the way DUCK! would get LAUNCHED and tossed wildly around, then just keep coming right back. The unceasing, unyielding BRICK that was DUCK! just rushing at its opponent only to FLY into the air, turn right back towards the opponent and beg for more. And on the rare, RARE moments when DUCK! got smashed apart in any meaningful way, it just added all that more excitement to the way it'd STILL go straight back in!
There are so many amazing things about duck and rotator such as their incredible durability and the fact that duck could quack last season. I've always appreciated the entertainment both robots have provided despite all the disadvantages they have faced due to the meta of Battlebots. They both fight or die to the very end and in very entertaining fashion whether it ended in a win or a loss. That's my favorite quality of both those robots.
I love ducks quack and the team and i love rotators power it just smashes everything it touches it`s a incredible robot!
I like how Rotator has become more defined in what works best. Started out as the flip-able, double spinner, to now the single spinner but way more deadly. Always a good watch.
Samurai looks great!
My favorite aspect of Duck is that it is an indestructible pizza box!
My favorite feature of Rotator is its ability to CHOP OFF 27 OF IT'S OWN BOLTS in one hit! That was simply amazing!
I like how reliable, Durable and Versatile both Rotator and Duck. And how unfairly smart both the captains are.
Duck just doesn’t stop! I love the commitment!
I think that Duck being the epitome of simplicity in a design makes it very appealing.
First, thanks for the great videos. What I love about Duck is it's simplicity and durability. That little sucker is hard to kill!
I love how duck never dies. I loved the look Rotator had with there double discs
Honestly, I just love the face on Duck. It's so cute!
May favorite thing about Duck is its endearing resilience. It just never gave up.
I love how both Duck and Rotator evolve in each series. They are strong opponents who are often difficult to knockout. Also they are both wonderful dancers!
I love how durable duck is and also how it made the Lego finals with scorpios with Diana driving
I'm glad that Ray and Hal still went to Vegas to hang out and help the teams. Very heartwarming!
Hal may have been there on official business. BB hired him to build some stuff. Unsure what it was, or what was done with it.
Duck's tank-like antics and drivability even when missing wheels is my favorite thing about it.
I don't even know anything about billet/CNC/anything engineering but the beauty of Duck's internals, even to a layman, is awe-inspiring. And to know that it takes hit after hit makes it even more insane. I wish it hadn't retired.
I love the tenacity of DUCK! I think it really helped give it the cult following.. That paired with great theming
I like that Rotator has a solid plan against verts, a solid plan against meaner horizontals, hits hard and looks good.
Anyway, thanks for chatting with me at BattleBots.
My favorite thing about RotatoR is The toughness and destructive power of RotatoR not to mention the fantastic gold hoodie and light up shoes. Victor is such an Amazing guy and loves talking robots with anyone.
let's see the thing i like/ love about ROTATOR and any battle bot is how much they evolve over time from 2 spinning blades to a more offensive configuration to fight TOMBSTONE, but not just just the robot but also Victor himself being gracious in defeat even when he lost. now let's ROBOT ROCK IT BAttLEBOTS FOREVER!!!
Both Duck and Rotator show the combined power of durability and a resonating theme! When Rotator dropped the invertible design, they easily could have been relegated to being "just another undercutter." But Victor's clever use of the bot's rear end enables it to maintain a strong record befitting of it's iconic gold design. And Duck, who doesn't love Duck? (Seriously, let me know and I will fight you.) Hal has managed to keep what could be considered a "box with wheels" design beloved in an era where the sport is so heavily focused on high power destructive weapons. I mean, It quacks!
Thank you for your dedication to the sport, it's really exciting to see the people behind the bots and makes me so excited for what's to come! 2023 is going to be a wonderful year for Battlebots!
Congratulations! You won the autographed Duck! and Rotator! Please email us at botbashparties@gmail.com to get your item.
Please include, in your email, that you won the Duck!/Rotator Rival Pack. We are doing 4 give aways this week and want to make sure you get the correct item.
I absolutely love duck! It is one of the cutest bots in the competition and though it may not win much it quacks me up. 🦆🦆🦆
I love that duck makes quack noises, and I loved the face it had
For rotator. My favorite thing has to he its drip and the Victor's outfits
I love how both Duck and Rotator always land on their feet, no matter how many hours of charge has been slapped out of them 😂
The sportsman ship of all the teams is amazing to see and hear about. Everyone helps everyone. But I would also say the way both rotator and duck just keep running after some brutal fights. It’s great for all the battle bots fans to give a full length fight.
Duck and Rotator? Neither bot refuses to die, and they both give us more of that robot fighting we all love by nearly always continuing to fight for the full 3 minutes. In other words, THE BOTS CANNOT BE KILLED!
I love how duck just doesn’t die, and how snazzy rotator is
To me, my favorite aspect about Duck! is their resilience. They proved control bots still have a place, by smashing their face into their opponents.
What I love about Rotator is how strong it has gotten over the years. It went from being a robot that got beat by Witch Doctor in seconds to a robot that killed Tombstone to one of the most durable and potent machines in the competition.
And I love Duck because...
well...
it's Duck!
My favorite thing about Duck is that it is so durable. It keeps taking hits and it makes matches so exciting.
My favorite thing about Rotator is the whole design of the bot. It’s so shiny and makes you feel some way
I love that Rotator uses a lot of strategy with when to use the rear wedge and when to go on attack. I find that a lot of fun to watch. I enjoy Duck because IT DOES NOT DIE (usually).
Rotator's glow up from its first fight to it's current terrifying form has been a really inspiring success story. Victor is the man!
I love that rotator’s identity is always the same and it looks like the same rotator every fight, but it’s different every fight, and it wins because of those differences. Also QUACK!
Love'd that Duck started as a father daughter deal and is so durable
My wife loves duck! She says he’s an underdog that gets it done and “quacks” us up! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I love that DUCK! can quack! and the durability always makes for a good show
I love Duck because he breaks robots with it's face.
I like how Ray tried to steal someone's spotlight. It was a good joke! 🤣
Daniel is so humble and wholesome when he's not driving 😂😂
Duck has to be my favourite, I like the uniqueness off rotator however is always a close second. Hal Rucker is my favourite person in life ❤️
Zach Lytle, You Took The Words Out Of Highlander!
Favorite part of rotator-gold shoes that light up! Skorpios needs those in blue!!!!
The best part about Duck is that it transfers into Lego really easily, it's the reason there's one in Lego Wars, Battlebricks and Clash of Bricks! On an extra note it was lovely to catch you guys in person at last and got to run the UK Skorpios around the pits, next year we'll get a proper battle done with them!
Duck disproving the claim that “a box with a wedge/armour makes a fight boring”.
Rotator/Victor making his Dad proud with how awesome the bot has become.
I personally love the fact that duck can take damage that no other bot can and then take some more on top of that. A perfect example of this is when duck fought cobalt and was completely recked for 90% of the fight, it even lost its face and still tries to win and it did. The “break your fist with my face” strategy is the funniest kamikaze style of fighting to watch and I wished he would of won more fights. I love rotator because he has such a unique design and it works extremely well against bots who aren’t prepared for it. He absolutely destroyed robots like black dragon and big dill because they didn’t know how to beat the fork-under cutter combo. My favorite moment for rotator was when he decapitated two robots (yours included) in one season.
My favorite thing about Rotator is its balance of offense and defense. Rotator can control a fight, survive hits from the strongest bots, and deliver powerful shots. It can get past big wedges that completely stop other horizontal spinners. Rotator has a great design and Victor knows how to play to its strengths. Rotator's reliability has made it my favorite battle bot.
My favorite thing about rotator and duck are their durability, and the fact that they always put on a show
I love Duck! is one of those bots that defends with his face and after being punched he goes back for more. Meanwhile Rotator is the Chuck Norris of Battlebots, dishing double roundhouse kicks at two different heights, nobody is safe.
Duck has always been a favorite of mine after I got to see Duck vs. Cobalt unspoiled, my friends and I were FLOORED by the fight, just amazed at the durability of Duck and couldn’t get over how funny the look and idea of a robot named DUCK! was. Ever since Duck has always been a favorite and a little bit of a meme to me that I have and will successfully spread to other friend groups. I came for the funny Duck robot and stayed because it performed and is still hilarious looking. Can’t wait to see what Hal Rucker brings us next!
Love how these two bots are known for not dying. some of the best and most effective armor usage in the field. i especially love rotators wedge. it’s asserted itself as one of the most unkillable objects in the sport, which is certainly a high honor. rotators spinny thing with their name on it is also very cool. My favorite part about duck is the sort of care free aspect. nothing too serious or fancy looking, but its shown to be one of the most advanced bots in the field.
Which makes Glitch's weapon all the more terrifying with how fast they dispatched RotatoR in Champions S1.
My favorite part of duck is it's clean and modular interior it always looks so professional and tightly at least the photos I've seen
I love how both rotator and duck are super durable and never seem to give up during a fight
I am impressed at how Duck is so tenacious and extremely cute. It may have not done so well against this meta, but the fact it can handle so much abuse from bots like Bronco, Hypershock, Tombstone, Witch Doctor, and Cobalt, while still quacking is very impressive. What I love most about RotatoR is how it's one of the most versatile robots with many strategies available between blades, wedges, forks, and invertibility. It may have struggled with judges because of the more defensive strategies, but it hits hard, can take obscene amounts of abuse for a spinner, and it's a true spectacle to watch Victor surgically dismantle many of his opponents, especially Icewave and Skorpios. Plus it's a very beautiful robot!
My favorite thing about duck is seeing the robot up and close in NHRL!
I loved the fact that no matter what, duck would never die(at least before s6). Even though it didn't have the most threatening weapon, its durability was able to win its fights, as well as put on a good show
What do I love about Duck? Well, I have 2 answers to your question, buddy.
First of all, Duck (2019) was for me the most fun robot to watch. The gun made him twirl in a VERY funny way...
And Duck (2021), despite the bad performance, the fact that they put that shine that was him going "quack, quack!" while running. Simply sensational!
The thing I like most about Duck is quite simply... Quack. That is all.
Behind the scenes are so funny
3:56 really happy to see Ray could make it, even if he couldn't compete
Something I love about rotator is the different configurations of wedges like the wedgelets and the big old wedge
Thanks for all you do!
I love duck because it just keeps going! It's hard to kill him.
My favorite thing about RotatoR is it's paintjob, Gold and Black looks really cool, i think only robot with same color scheme was Brutus so far.
My favorite thing about Duck! is how sturdy and durable this bot is, it's just awesome how it was still running after quantum did several bites to it, started to burn inside chasis and still running, same with matchup against Cobalt, absurd amount of damage to every part of robot, robot still didnt fall apart.
Thanks Skorpios team,Victor,Hal and everyone who is involved in battlebot giveways for doing all this stuff for the fans ❤
Shill
I love that they are in the rivals pack, but never actually fought each other!
can't wait for the new season
I like Ducks solid billet of aluminum frame, something about it is just plain impressive. I also like the origional graphics on the first duck, it just looked cool.
Not only are rotators outfits top draw, the multiple configuration has worked so well over the years and have the recoil from one blade spinning it to attack multiple times is clever design.
Can't wait for this season to be available in the UK. Hope u had a great season everyone.
I love that Rotator's wheel guards haven't been damaged to the point of stopping the wheels / mobility. It's especially rare because rotator by design blocks with fork / shield end then ROTATES for attack leaving wheel guard perfectly exposed to direct hits. They have a wheel guard secret sauce.
my favorite thing about duck is because it's so damn durable, pretty much every fight it's in is a banger
Duck! has the durability of a GOD. And RotatoR is consistent in design and Victor Soto can drive like few other.
I love how RotatoR grew from this season 2 also-ran that got high centered and disabled in seconds against Witch Doctor to being a tactical super-reliable beast of an undercutter that has gone Round of 8 twice in a row.
It's delivered "fight of the season" level destruction against ICEWave, Tombstone, End Game, Kraken, Captain Shrederator and Tantrum, regardless of whether it wins or loses. That bar may not deliver Tombstone-level energy but it progressively chews away and dismembers everything it fights, and the sheer versatility of its configurations ensures that it has an answer for everything including powerful verts.
On top of all that it's got aesthetic for days with the black and gold paint scheme and team outfits, and Victor Soto is one of my favorite drivers and team captains in BB.
I like it when Rotator spins
I love Duck! because robots with personality are more fun to cheer for eve if they aren’t super competitive, and ducks are my 9 year olds favourite animal so Duck! got her interested in Battlebots and robotics. I love Rotator because they put on some of the best fights, it’s very rare for them not to go the full three minutes of pure entertainment and destruction
As much as Duck! Struggled in it'd last season, I adored it's concept and duck sounds! As for rotator, I love how it's evolved and both it's impressive durability as well as it's insane damage output. Victor Soto really knows what he'd doing
There is something about duck. It's as hard as it gets, it feels like it's built like a tank. The wedge on it is tough too. The bot has broken multiple weapons, and is overall a cool bot. It's so simple, yet it succeeds more than people thought it would have.
I love that Hal Rucker makes BB a family affair, bringing his daughter (most times) to fight. Even going so far as to helping her bring her own bot to the show for a season. He's also a great guy to talk to and listen to in general, very fan friendly.
Rusty's back!? YES!
About Duck and Rotator it doesn’t matter how hard you them, they always come back for more punishment and go the distance those are two well made bots. AND I GOT TO SEE DANIEL AND DIANA HAVE A YELLING CONTEST! YAY!!
You have to love both RotatoR and DUCK! because they're both such defensive tanks that utilize perfect driving strategies, DUCK! is mainly the defensive tank who I feel the rules of BB kind of screwed over since they kept changing the rules to make it less and less like Whoops! and then there's RotatoR which is just so strategically driven, I love the idea of leading with the forks and whipping around the spinner to attack those barely protected undersides.
My favorite part of Rotator is it's versatility and it's ability to have a large amount of configurations. And I love Duck!s honk
I love how even when sent flying again and again, Duck just won't quit. Knocking out duck is an accomplishment in its own. Rotator is almost as much of a tank, but twice as dangerous. When he enters the box, I just know someone is going to get wrecked.
I love the defense aspect of both bots honestly. Duck is more superior defense build and can withstand hits from any competitor. Rotator has that quick defense to offense set up and his ability to withstand all his fights the way he does is so entertaining
i love rotator for a very simple reason, flashy colours make my monkey brain go YESH
I like how Rotator made a big glow up from when it first looked like a small rookie to make it to the top 16
The thing I like best about both Duck and Rotator is that NEITHER bot (with a few rare cases) ever seems to die. They are two of the most durable robots we've ever watched. Because they don't die, they tend to have some of the most impressive matches. [RIP Duck. Hopefully their replacement (and Kraken's as well) can keep that durable trait. I look for Victor to be fighting for a championship soon, and Hal and Matt to be there in a year or two (after working out the bugs of a new robot).
I feel like RotatoR was way ahead of it's time as a horizontal with ground game. The ability to lead with the back wedge and flip around with the undercutter is deadly.
I love the fact that the new duck (s6) has speakers in it to actually make duck noises. It’s the most unnecessary yet hilarious feature.
I loved how versatile rotator became after losing the second weapon as mandatory equipment. It's truly one of the coolest customizable bots in the field
