mine had this issue. I changed battery, alternator and battery sensor but was still doing the same. Later i foound that the battery wire was loose at the junction in front of the pcm, causing lose contact. I tightened this and the issue was solved. Plaase check all your battery wires along when they jiined the body and to the alternator.
Short answer: yes. I just (Aug 2022) let AdvanceAuto pull my 2018 DGC "check engine" light codes, got P0562. Then they tested my battery (easier to test battery than the alternator, right?) and the battery failed their tester. Bought a new DieHard battery there, they installed it (but had a box connected to the OBD port under the dashboard to keep car/radio memories from being lost). As soon as I turned the ignition key, it started right up (with none of the prior hesitation) -- and no more "check engine" light.
That's where a scan tool comes in. The device is using is a code reader and not a scanner. A scan tool has the ability to view live data PIDS as well as bidirectional control, module programming and countless intuitive features. But considerably more than $20. Contrary to belief, Autozone does not and has never offered free vehicle scanning. They have code readers and provide trouble codes only.
Did u clear it out? Sometimes codes gets stored and u need make sure to delete it, I fixed my avenger 2014 its was a battery, I tested with multimeter and was 12.6 volts, then I did with power pro and no read at all, I removed it redone test and it's was the battery and engine light went off immediately installed the new battery but the code still on stored, it's was kind hard to delete it but I did it and everything is working fine. Good luck
I have this code right now and check engine light is on. I'm a little confused why you say it's "super siimple" to fix when it could be a matter of having to replace the battery or the alternator. I was thinking it would be something that could be easily fixed by the car owner in a few minutes; having to go to the expense of replacing the alternator or the battery( especially when the battery is so inaccessible in the Journey) isn't what I would call a super simple fix. And it's a very expensive one.
Reason for saying it’s a super simple fix is because doing this yourself really isn’t that hard takes about a hour at max on each thing and you can diagnose the alt and the battery to find the issue before doing the work. I do see where you are coming from where you would think super simple would be like a fuse or something
I gave it a thumbs down for a reason you didn't do your research completely you said corrosion on your terminals failed to mention the most common cause loose terminals and if your car was used all day sitting still never being ran and it was drained by saying cigarette lighter plug in fan a small inverter to charge your phone and maybe a GPS tracker join you seven votes out of your 11 volts on your havoc system your car will go dead and then start it after you jump it you'll also get this code
Not sure how that means I haven’t done my research this was about my issue specifically. Also this car has been jumped off before and didn’t get the code so that isn’t true.
My ram Promaster 3500 v6 did this today. Was sitting and it would start friend busted me off with a jump box and it started right up. I took it to part store to let them check the battery and it all check out good. Van has been starting so far good. I hope it continues to start

I'll check that before I move forward
Did u fix it
so when you replaced battery did it clear code? Thanks.

I had same code. Changed battery, changed alternator and battery sensor from a good dodge journey and yet car remained the same.
@@ojoadeolupeter you have to add another ground to your Dodge that was my prob after changing everything.
How do you know it's your battery?

I have a brand new battery, new alternator and new battery terminals.. still getting this code.. any suggestions?

If it’s in there permanently. The car will cycle thru and Delete itself. Once it gets a good reading
So if I just changed the alternator, than it should be the battery?

So with this code was it a failing alternator or bad battery?
Replaced battery fixed it. Also corrosion on terminals can do it
What was it ?
I want to buy a Dodge
Journey but steeriing feels a
Bid tight, what can that be.
Recently did a spark plug and coil pack replacement and this code pops out after the car start great
Wow I just did that and the same thing is happening
Thik
