    These videos are insanely helpful thank you so much for these. I've always had people record my vocals successfully and found that even when i record off my phone a video of my vocals they sound okay but once I setup my home studio to do it - awful thin stuff. This has given me the confidence to get back to recording and producing my own stuff again and restore faith in my vocal ability.
    Also, I love the mic drop moment when you added in the Serum @9:50 haha

      This makes me insanely happy! To be fair, we hold ourselves to higher standards in studio than on the phone, and in the studio we have to compete with so many other elements :) glad this vid helped!

    Perfect timing! I'm in the midst of fumbling with my first mix, and making the vocals sit with the rest of the mix is much, much, very much harder than I anticipated! Gotta appreciate how easy and logical you make it seem. Haven't touched anything labelled as parallel compression so far.. guess it's time.
    Thanks for uploading tutorials like this! Thankyouthankyouthankyououou

      Oh, the tutorials like this one, where people have sent you their songs and you sprinkle some perfecting mixing sorcery on top of them, are incredibly, incredibly tempting. But the files that are passed to you can only be Ableton-specific project files, right? Or are there some cross-software workarounds? Maybe I'm asking silly questions.
      I won't have the audacity to share my first concoction with anyone who understands music, but maybe a few more mixes later the future braver, smarter, less-confused me might!

    • @AudioHaze
      @AudioHaze  2 года назад

      Hey! Well to be fair, and interface isn't going to drastically change the microphone's tonal quality, its more about quality preamps that provide clean gain without any introduction to noise, and for the, I find the Motu and Audient interfaces are killer. That being said, I have heard the Motu interfaces are annoying on PC, I wouldn't know though

    Hi, friend! I have a very small movie channel on RUclips and recently I just started a podcast, I currently have a Neweer usb 700 microphone and I want to improve the quality of my live shows and the sound of the podcast, I have several condenser microphone models to decide on: 1: Samson C01U Pro, 2: Monkey Banana Hapa, 3: Behringer C1U, 4: Marantz MPM-4000U, 5: Marantz MPM-1000U, 6: Auna Pro MIC-600. I would also like to know if I would notice an improvement of some of these microphones compared to the Neweer usb 700, I am open to any type of recommendation adjusting to a maximum price of 80 or 90 euros and as a follower of yours and your channel I hope all your help possible . First of all, thank you in advance and congratulate you on your channel, I send you a hug from Spain.

    • @AudioHaze
      @AudioHaze  2 года назад +1

      Hi! For that price range have you checked out the Behringer B1 or the MXL 990? I'm not a huge fan of the Samson you mentioned, and most of the other mics you listed I haven't tried. The B1 and the 990 are both great for the price though!

      @@AudioHaze Thank you very much for responding so quickly, I really appreciate it. I'm looking for a usb microphone to reduce the space I have, I recently tried an xlr microphone and a Behringer 302 usb model mixer and it was a disaster and I had to return it, the background noise it produced was greater than any usb microphone I've had before connected to the pc, that's why I'm looking for something that is plug and play and saves space, any recommendation from you will help me a lot. Thanks again, you're great.

    imo the solution to beats like that are to get uncompressed instrumentals. highly compressed vocals just sound horrible (to me)

    • @AudioHaze
      @AudioHaze  2 года назад

      Definitely, its a shame that modern production is so loud and limited, especially pop and hip hop. If you can get a file that still sounds great without loudness bias, thats the way to go.

    How's the sundara for mixing?

    • @AudioHaze
      @AudioHaze  2 года назад

      Pretty good! I don't use it to mix, only as a reference, in general it keeps the mix pretty fat, but I wouldn't really too much on it, it can get your highs perhaps a little brittle unless you're aware of its shelf in the high end.

    Hate compressions and limiters, 99% of the music industry is driven with that crap... No real dynamic singing and recording... So unnatural ... I removed all compressors from my vst list... Only kept RVox
    Loved the parallel compression with the original sound it's sounding wider keeping the original vocals.
