      Unfortunately there aren’t many options.
      I’m on Vancouver island. We have a company they brings things over from the US. So I order from places like revzilla or joker machine. Ship to their office in Blane Washington (which most offer free shipping in the continental US) and for $17 they bring it to Victoria. I just pay the duty.
      Fortnine.ca is decent too. It may have gotten better but at the time they didn’t offer much for the scout. This was easily 2018.

    Hi Jay, I’m not using the joker machine LED lights on the rear. Instead I’m wiring a 6” LED light bar on my bike on each side on the rear. It has black,red,white,purple and brown wires on each bar and I watched your video on how to wire the intensifier. I’m not sure I need the intensifier?? Would I be able to wire this light bar in without it? I have the 2018 Indian Scout Bobber like you do. I could really use some help. Thanks

    • @jay_fast
      @jay_fast  3 года назад +2

      No. The intensifier is only to go from a two wire light to the bobber. There are some ways to get around it but I don’t know them. If you go onto the indian forums online and check out the bobber section there are lots of write ups. It’s not a simple wire hookup. The rear lights are fired through the ecu. But there is a way. It will involve some soldering on your part. Kuryakan and rizoma lights need something special as well. They might offer a converter. They are just expected. It’s just the rear lights. Fronts are an easy hook up. Djcutnpaste on Instagram is also a wealth of knowledge.

    • @jay_fast

      valdser so the stock bobber front lights are two wire. The stock bobber rear lights are three wire.
      So any aftermarket two wire (positive and a negative) light will be a direct wire up swap. Super easy.
      The tears you have to convert an after market two wire led to work on a three wire factory harness. That’s were the intensifier comes in.
      Aftermarket three wire leds like the rizoma lights require a whole different setup not covered in this video.

    Jay. I'm from BC too,The Kootenays. I am curious as to what soldering iron you used in the video and where you got it. I have the usual Scout mishap where the rear harness connector jumps out of it's holder and the rear tire burns off a few wires. The only soldering guns I have available locally are Canadian Tire and they get scathing reviews. Pure garbage. Yours looks just right for splicing my wires back together. There is not much wire protruding from the connector so I get one chance at getting it right. Inability to control the temperature could seriously complicate my life.

      Our plates are larger than American plates. Anyways in Canada the scout came with the licence plate in the back. They call it the international tail piece. Anyways. I understand the LEDs are bright but does the fact they stick closer to the frame, make you less visible to cars? Do they show show you as a smaller object than you really are?
