      Cooked food dusre bartan me nikalke rakhen. Kadai me jyada samay rakhne se food kala ho sakta hai aur taste bhi change ho jayega. Isliye paka hua khana shift kar le :)

    I bought Meyer brands cast iron kadahi and frying pan..its already pre seasoned as per them but for seasoning the suggested to heat the kadai on high flame then apply some oil with the help of tissue and repeat the process 2-3 times and its done...what do you suggest?
    Also i wanted to know:-
    1) we dont eat any fried food in our home and the size of kadai and frypan are really big so can i directly start with cooking normal sabzis or do you have any other suggestions.
    2) Also meyer suggested to use silicon spatula while cooking food- can we use normal stainless steel or wooden spoons or silicon spatula is better.
    3) should we cook food on high or low flame in cast iron?

      Glade to hear that you bought cast iron utensils for cooking:) it's really good for health.
      Yes you can season your cast iron utensils one more time. There is no harm in doing that.
      If you don't want to deep fry in your kadai no problem. You can directly cook after seasoning.
      I suggest a wooden or metal spatula.

      Nahi. Aisa karne se Oil kaala ho jayega. Isliye oil ko nikal le aur kadai ko saaf karke rakhe.

      No that is not equired. But make sure you wash your cast iron kadai after cooking and dry it as usual. Also you have to apply and coat it with oil after the wash and store it in dry place in order to avoid rusting.

      Meat aur fish banane ke baad garam paani se dhoyen. Scrubber use kar sakte hai. Achi tarah ponch ke oil apply karke sukhe huye jagah par store karen. Agar fish aur meat ki smell aa rahi ho tab lemon aur Salt se saaf karen :)

      We have to apply oil to entire kadai . It prevents kadai to rusting. It wouldn't smoke.

      @@Maitrey58 आपने मेरे विडियो में देखा होगा मैने डीप फ्राई करने को बताया है । शुरुआत में 10 से 15 बार इसमें तलने वाला कुकिंग प्रोसेस करें । 10 से 15 बार तलने से कडाही बहुत अच्छे से तैयार हो जायेगी । अब इसमें आप कुछ भी बनाइये । कुछ भी फेंकने की आवश्यकता नहीं है । हाॅ जो भी आप इसमें बनाये उसे दूसरे बर्तन में शिफ्ट कर दें नहीं तो खाना काला पड जायेगा ।

      Oil is used to season the cast iron kadai and create a nonstick surface, detergent can effectively wash off the cure that you worked so hard to build. :)

      @@sandejai चिकन करी बनाने के बाद कडाही को गरम पानी से साफ करें । इसके बाद इसे स्क्रबर से साफ करें डिश वाश के बिना । इसके बाद एक बार और गरम पानी से साफ करें । अगर इसके बाद भी नॉन वेज की स्मेल आती हैं तो नींबू के छिलके में थोड़ा नमक डालें और इससे साफ करें । साफ पानी से धोने के बाद कडाही को पोंछ कर रखें । :)

      Once you put a cast iron pan in the dishwasher your seasoning is gone. The combination of the scrubbing action, warm water and detergent effectively remove the seasoning in the pan. The dishwasher will also rust the iron as it is in a raw unprocessed state. It is unnecessary to use the dishwasher since the wipe method is so efficient.

      Yes you can buy such kadai from local market. Yes you will get original one . I always use virgin coconut oil for seasoning cast iron cookware. Keep in mind that the seasoning of cast iron is an ongoing process. Each time you cook something in the pan, it is helping season it a little more. ... Using your fingers, a cloth, or dry sponge, spread a layer of coconut oil around the inside and outside of the skillet.

      Agar pyaz nahi lagana hai toh keval oil lagake kare. Kisi kapde ki sahayta se oil lagaye. Maine mitti ke bartan ko season kiya hai. Vo link mai share kar rahi hun. Use dekhiye. Khane ko banane ke baad kadai se turant dusre bartan me shift kare. Kadai me kafi der tak rakhne se sabzi kali ho jayegi. Jaisa video me dikhaya gaya hai vaise hi steps follow kare. Apki kadai ache se season ho jayegi. :)

      नहीं । एक बार ऐसे सीसनिंग करें । जब भी इस्तेमाल करें इसे गरम पानी ( गुनगुना) से साफ करें । पोंछ कर सुखाकर एक टिशू पेपर की सहायता से तेल की कोटिंग करें । सूखी हुई जगह पर स्टोर करें ।

    Hi..ma'am...I hv to season my tawa..as u hv shown in video you fry many times..so how will that b possible in tawa..and also instead of onion what can v take to season easily..

      You can use tissue paper , spread oil all over the tawa using a tissue paper. You can't deep fry in tawa, for that you can make parathas in your cast iron tawa a few times. I do that :)

      @@CookingwithGirija Thank you ma'am..now using the tawa for making paratha pattice rotla...turns out really well..but there is lot of greasiness ..how can I clean out that greasiness without harming the seasoning.

      @@pritishah264 use Salt and gently rub with a scrubber. Then wash it off with hot water . Wipe and store . Greasiness will go .

    I saw preseasoning video of The Indus Valley brand, there, they used dishwash detergent soap and said that liquid dishwash could be used as well. They pour water in a large vessel added liquid starch to it and left it for 24 hours. Which one to trust ? Your's or there's ?

      The starch method is also good but please do not use any kind of detergent after that process.

      @@CookingwithGirija I used it before viewing your video. But I soaked it in water for two hours, then boiled water in it according to the instructions of the seller. Then I cooked rice and it became black. Is it iron or dirt?

      Sabun se nahi dhone se acha hai. Aisa karne se jo seasoning hai vo nikal jayega. Garam pani se saaf karen. Kadai ache se saaf ho jati hai.

      Before seasoning first you have to clean the entire kadai.

    Why not to use soap for cleaning? Even after seasoning the kadai, can't we use soap ? If soap not used , then pehle khaane Ka smell toh Nahi aayega next recipe me ?

      Oil is used to season the cast iron kadai and create a nonstick surface, detergent can effectively wash off the cure that you worked so hard to build. :)

      I suggest starting me na use karen . Ek baar ache se seasoning ho jaye tab use karen. There are so many brands in market. I suggest indus valley or mannarcraft.

      @@CookingwithGirija i boiled water into kadai to remove tar as it is quite thick and tough. But it did not go. I boiled twice. Still tough. Then i applied coconut oil to remove. It worked. Then i did the onion process.

    You have used oil on the bottom and kept on the fire, I think it is dangerous. Why can't we use a detergent and only use salt

      It's not dangerous. By applying detergent the seasoning might get spoiled wherein applying salt will just take the dirt away.
