The clip is about the building of Harlow New Town.
So what went wrong? I mean, have you seen Harlow today?
I remember talking to Lady Gibberd in 1984 about the council plans for the future of Harlow. She was motified by the plans Labour had for the town saying they would destroy her husbands heritge. Boy was she right.

Gibberish the Town Planner. The railway station is on the edge of the town no link to the tube ....bus station away from the railway station no central transport hub
Harlow can be alright when it wants to but to be honest its a crap area and thats coming from someone who has lived there all their life!
1:08 - Holy crap, we still have that statue now. Wasn't aware it'd been in the town since the start.
Harlow was a lovely clean and well planned town, a great place to grow up in the 60s and 70s. I've seen it recently, and it's still clean, well planned and lovely. Only society has changed it's expectations. It could never be all things to all people, but it did well. Many of the industries in Harlow had their own social clubs to bridge the gaps experienced by the families who left London.
@Toadsanime Yeh that statue is called Family by Henry Moore, they put it inside the civic centre now because someone smashed the dad's head off :P Think there's a few Henry Moore's around Harlow, one over by the cycle museum if I recall
Interesting when I found out we are a kind of social experiment in Harlow. I suppose they know what 'not to do' in the future!! Although it's a pretty safe town I suppose.
