After seeing how "well" things went after Aaron McGruder left the show for season 4. I think it's definitely safe to say his method - while potentially taking longer to write, and produce was definitely what kept the show alive.
I never understood why I didn’t enjoy the 4th season. I always figured it was because they were in debt. I didn’t know he left but that makes since because it didn’t feel like it was the same universe. The old lady episode I didn’t like and only a few were ok even some character didn’t feel like themselves like ed wuncler. Something just felt off with him
I’m so impressed that these rappers are all such great voice actors too!
You gotta think they basically ate voice actors lol except they are acting in real life and record other music instead, its natural
I'm mad that I wasn't old enough to watch this show when it came out. I was the only kid in school not in on all the jokes or even knew what the show was. Now that I'm finally an adult, I watched and LOVE this show. I just feel late to the party

Seriously though, The Boondocks was revolutionary, and it was a tv show made by Black Americans from top to bottom. You can feel the authenticity as you watch, Aaron McGruder is a trailblazer.
Anime Dubs: "Can you do the voice or not? Can you give the character life with strictly your voice?" I wish these guys did anime dubs because they did an amazing job with boondocks. 99% of anime dubs you just have the most limp actors that sound like they don't give a shit and don't fit the characters at all.
This show is unique. In every sense of the word.

Aisha Tyler voices a character named Lana in Archer and she is eerily similar in certain qualities to the Lana from The Boondocks. Amazing voice and character work
So the animation is done in Korea?
Yes a lot of western animation is outsourced in South Korea including Regular Show and a lot of Cartoon Network shows because it is cheaper and the tech is reliable
