Just a suggestion to avoid having to paint the pool noodle...go to lowes and get the black foam insulation tubes
more expensive but spray paints being $6 definitely cheaper.
I got the best pool noodles from the packaging of a freezer. Black and like 5ft tall. Ask about lowes packing noodles
@@lizcofano3000 Dear Lord, reading your comment of Noodles from a freezer, has me craving Egg Noodles 😋 😂
@@mariamercy7317 😂
@@lovera3878 its cheaper over here (Germany) to buy those Pipe Insulation Tubes :'D and you also get them in Various Sizes and most of them for under 1€
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i can't believe i watched the whole video. My wife would kill me if i made that pool noodle sign!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣☠️
Divorce court all the way!
😆 🤣 😂 i feel you
🤭
I think she would love it!
For a easier tip put the lights alone next to the steps to save a bit of money and time.
You goddam right
And look nicer
For a better tip just get a wooden or metal post. You'll save money in the long run.
Rite 👍🏾👏🏾 LoL
You lost me at “turn on your vinyl cutter”😂
I know… whos got one of those ffs
She should have said at the beginning:
Things you need for this project...
Hahaha seriously, that should've been in the title.
Same here🤨
Same 😂
I adapted this idea for my traphouse. Depending on what substance an individual is looking for, these signs guide them to the correct door or window.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😆😂😭
🤦🏿♀️
😂💀
Hahaha!!?? Were da wite wemenz b at? …n shiiieet…
That's 3 minutes and 26 seconds of my life I will never get back!
I'm gonna say just the lights alone next to the steps should do the trick. You are welcome.
Thanks for coming to be a jerk?
If you don't like the ideas just go away...
Yes I agree
If someone is engaged in talking the may not just see lights.
😆
Yelp that's what I was thinking
Just turn the porch light on when you’re expecting visitors.
Lol!
Remember to "turn on your vinyl cutter", lol. But not before you buy a car so you have a ride to the dollar store...
How about, just painting the edge of the step😊
Yep that was my first thought as well nice bright white or better still glow in the dark paint😹😹
Exactly.
YOU ARE FUNNY !!
Yep safety yellow
@@Denny_E_Lee7575thats the one 😉
Dude.. Seriously.. I wish I could get those 3 minutes of my life back..
Right 😆
Do you need pool noodle if the light fits into the broom handle.
Finally! Something I can make 🤣🤣🤣
I kno‼️I watch videos all the time but this I can do....YEA🤩
You are funny . I was thinking "paint the riser"
❤️ the best saya sangat suka salam dari Indonesia 🇲🇨
Nice
@@bernardus1687 thank
A stake light on the ground, directly in front of the step (left & right) would also bring attention to the step.
A lot simpler!
Thats a real good suggestion. . .last year after a very heavy snow the front steps to our apt building were completely covered. They are treacherous enough when dry, but much worse when invisible from snow. I watched from the window upstairs as one of our substitute mailmen was struggling up the yard with handful of mail in one hand and a fairly large heavy pkg in the other slip badly on the corner edge of the steps because he didn't know they were there. Thank goodness he didn't get hurt but i had a mini heart attack watching. Ever since then i have wondered how to prevent this (or worse) from happening again.
The solar light on both sides of the steps seems like a good solution.
Yes, because the eyes go to where the light is, making it more likely for people to see the step, instead of the light at the top of a pole, which I might miss completely. I might even group 3 lights at each end; that might look prettier (and safer in case one of the lights burns out).
I'm glad your mail carrier was ok and not hurt!
@@megatuanis .. good point abt the height of the light .. ty i'm glad he didn't get hurt too. The hidden steps are a hazard of their job since the regular carrier knows abt them but the substitute doesn't.

How about painting the steps with glow in the dark paint?
Or just remember you have a step
You can also place reflective red tape on a step.
Next to this sign, there should be a taller lighted sign to warn people not to run into the sign.
I will need a lot of them, one for the chair, one for the door, one for the garbage can, one for the sink, one for the fridge, one for the bathroom, one for the couch, one for the tv, one for the washer, one for the stove.
And one for every step on your stairs. And for extra safety, don't forget one for the handrail.
Tacky. Probably would look better without the signs and just use the lights.
if people can't see the step, what makes you think they'll see the sign?....maybe at night but probably NOT
Oh! I kept wondering where the instructions were finally leading as I misread it and thought this was supposed to be a LIGHTNING rod!😂
Lol😂😂😂 Yeah.. STEP BACK! 😂😂😂
As an artist and crafty soul: I love this clever idea! My adult Daughter and I have a nighttime delivery job for extra money and often wish more folks would ensure everyone's safety and have lights like this.
After you're done with your pool noodle you can simply toss it in the woods or any nearby body of water...remember to share pool noodles with local wildlife
I like the lights. They illuminate the steps nicely. I thought the arrows made it look cheap and were not attractive
Better title: how to create a taller solar right for better sign visibility.😊
Well there’s a couple minutes I won’t get back
We use to use stencils & spray paint, directly on the step. By the time it wore off, you knew there was a step, second nature🤷♀️🤭
Have a beautiful day!
I use PVC pipe to make my solar lights higher. I spray painted them black. Forget the noodles and cheap broom handles.
Yep, that scotch tape will last through a rain storm !
Why would you say to remove the ropes, then show using the ropes and twisting to put the sign on?
AMAZING IDEA♥️
lol
Well, there goes 3:26 of my life that I won't get back.
Great idea! Now I just need to find a step so I can make one
😆 👍 👌 😉
You can step on my back, like my ex did. Heh
This turned out very nice. Thanks for sharing.❣💯
Thats enough Internet for me today 😂😂
Wow, WHY DID THE ALGO DO THIS TO ME, IVE BEEN A GOOD BOY.
Even cooler than that... take the solar lights and stuck them in the ends of the pool noodles with solar charger out. And the noodles illuminate!
You can spell words, so garden art, whatever!
The cheaper the noodles the better.
Yay top 26 comments. Love this channel.
Seems you can just press the lights directly into the ground to the left and the right side of the sidewalk right next to the step and illuminate the step itself
“…cut the strings off the signs as you won’t be using it…”
Later on, “hang the sign from the top of the pool noodle using the string…”
🤦♂️😩
🤣🤣🤣
Very cute decorative idea that be adapted for other projects. Such as stair step solar lights on a spot in the yard. I liked it.
They have glow in the dark spray paint at lowes.
I was searching for lightning rods, wondering how the heck a pool noodle and broom stick was going to work. Over three minutes later, realized this was a "lightING" hack, not a "lighNING" hack. Some of us are a little slower than others.
Uhhhh nice! I love beach stuff! Gave me an idea to buy blue pool noodles and probably glue some Seashells to it. A solar lights would look great on top.
I love the pool noodles too. Gave me the idea to make something else! 😂
Brilliant! I hope not many got injured before you got the sign up😣
This looks like a FAIL! The lights didn't illuminate the signs, so...much better to leave signs off and let the trip hazard be lit...that says it ALL! Lots less tacky looking!
Well, the signs could say "welcome" or something other than "step," I suppose.
Exactly this looks terrible in all aspects, not sure if it could look any worse honestly.
My thoughts exactly. A very juvenile and generic looking piece, nothing about this project is appealing. Shame on Hometalk, I expect more class out of them. 🙄
@@jeanniem.3367 i'm not usually impressed with their stuff.
@@staceykersting705, for sure they’ve gone downhill with their creativity, so neither have I as of late.
I use pool noodles to stand my boots up. How many of you have a vinyl cutter - raise your hands. LOL
EXCELLENT IDEA
Thank you for sharing this video.
This would be fun during Christmas “Santa stop here” or a birthday party.
thinks im watching a cute craft video ------ at 1:10 "turn on your vinyl machine" WTF!?!?!? hahaah
Awesome ideal , thank you.
Thank you for sharing this.
Why has my life came to this…. In March. In ibiza..😂😢😂
more fun to leave the tags and stickers on so you can return on January 2
You could just add dirt ,sod , and avoid the step altogether
Yes, and can be done in stages. Know where fill dirt comes from though, bad stories if they just dump Whatever dirt.
Goal should be, raise the soil surface to the porch deck, Think wheelchair.
I'm going to the dollar store, but I have a vinyl cutter at home?
Next video idea. How to disguise those unsightly drain pipes at the bottom of your downspouts. 3:00
I was intrigued by the title of the video. This is a great way to sign my daughter's wedding path. I love it! Thank you
Aww...i thought she was making a firework fkr the 4th of July! 😂
Super cool idea 💡
Great Idea 👍🏽.
Thanx
This Pool Noodle Bamboozled 2.6 Million People 😂
This was really cool. I'm not sure which was better, the lighted sign posts made from everyday objects or the video production. Both get thumbs up!👍
Great job and idea. Video n presentation is awesome. TY
Great idea for many things including weddings and other gatherings. Thanks for the sharing. Cheers!
DT has signs in the wedding section that has the stand {like that on a picture frame} the signs that I’ve seen say… RECEPTION, WEDDING, GIFTS, and I do believe theres other words but you can always paint over and use cricut or stencils!! They are approx 8-10” I think!! But I like them! They are cute!!
@@samanthaamaddox8505, ok! thanks for the information. I appreciate it.
Amazing idea!
At night, you can’t see the signs. You can only see the area lighted by the light.
The signs are for the day only and the lights for the night. Anyone can capt that up come on
BRAVO,👏🏻 BEAUTIFUL SUPERWOMAN QUEEN👑BLESS YOU FOR SHARING THIS CREATIVE IDEA!!🙏🏼🌹👸
very good ideas... I can use this...
This is a good one!
Great idea. Thanks from London England 👍😎🏴
Clever Thank you for sharing have a blessed evening stay safe and healthy. 🙏❤🙏❤💙💚💛💞😎🤓💜😊🤗🥰💕
Great idea. Thank you
Wow what an amazing incredible invention……. For a toddler.
I might use this idea for yardage markers
Using a screen printer.
Every house should have one.
Great idea, I don't think.
Or just turn on porch light?
Great idea. But the PVC pipes off your gutter drains intrigued me too. Where do they lead?
Now that you've mentioned it, me too.
I don't know how well they would work either, it looks like they are going uphill? 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😅😂🤣
You said to cut off the string then to loop it using the string. ???
Look at the video again she has two signs. 1 she cut the strings off and glued it and the other sign that is taller she kept the string on and wrapped it around the broom stick
How about buying step light 😂 this works great for those that have their Xmas lights out all yearlong 😂😂😂
Reflector lights work on steps
How about a low solar light on either side of the step, close to the step. Just a thought.
Loving it 😍
Nearly every house in America has a step.
Love this ❤
Ive Tried pool noodle stuff b4, they crumble and start loosing chunks very quickly
Love them!!
Great ldea love it 💘 thanks for sharing.
We found a lot of usage around the house. 👍
Or get a couple of bags of sharp sand and a bag of cement knock it up and make a ramp up to the step so that even if you get a blind person come to your house they won't trip over the step because they can't see the signs, lolol.
GOOD idea; I ALSO like the idea that it improves a person's SAFETY!! KUDOS to you... 👍👍😃👣
What did you use for weather protection
awesome idea!
Great idea.
great inexpensive idea for birthday party signs, Thank you.
You had ONE job, and you had a vinyl cutter to do it - and you still couldn't pull off keeping the letters straight - SMFH
We have little solar lights on our steps. 👍🏻
Great idea!
🥰🥰
For 35 years I've been trying to figure out how to stop tripping on my porch step EVERY time I come home.
I'm going to try this!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
