One Biblical teacher taught that “prophecy” also meant teaching the Gospel in bible times, but we have this warped view that it must mean fortune telling.

@@abideintheWord but the scripture is not exclusionary, that a prophet cannot teach. I connect prophesying to “build up the church” if it’s based the Gospel of Christ. Otherwise, how does it build up if it’s just fortune telling?

Thank God for the gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. I and my family and others I know have been personally affected in a good way by prophecy, and the other gifts. I can record many times our lives were saved because of prophecy. Literally!
Praise the Living God! He is very much alive and active!
Without the voice of God I likewise would not be here. Before I was even a BELIEVER God spoke to me while I was in sin and told me to put my seatbelt on very clearly. I tried to brush it off but then the voice came again telling me to put my seatbelt on now. I did and within about 20 seconds I flipped my car upside down. I miraculously survived without a scratch on me. Without hearing the voice of God I believe I would have died. The car looked like a crushed coke can. Praise God!!!

If you need scripture, John 7:24 says "Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.” It might appear to you that he is lying because the meaning of this passage is obvious to you, but he may have gotten it wrong. We don''t KNOW that he is lying.

I noticed that from his voice as well. I do think he has been saved at some point though. In 2 Peter he talks about how false teachers were ransomed and freed by the blood but then they go back to their sin. That’s what I believe happens with most false teachers. They get saved, backslide, and then end up being handed over and teach heresy for the rest of their lives. Scary.

@@wesleynunez3825 the scariest thing I’ve noticed about most of these eternal security preachers is that they USED to believe in conditional security. Then they say they “came to the truth”. What really happened is they fell away and didn’t even notice it! Very scary!
@@abideintheWord I just noticed you responded to my comment. I didn’t know that…. I believe it becomes worse the more we sin. Not saying sin is tolerated to begin with. Romans chapter 1:18-32 depicts what an unrighteous person looks like and how they are filled with wicked traits for willfully sinning against God. What’s scary to me is that many Christians believe that this passage pertains only to an atheist. However, careful reading of it (verse 18) God is against ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS and UNGODLINESS of men who SUPPRESS THE TRUTH IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

Someone I know, who is a very righteous Christian had a dream several years ago of a group of pastors and some others taking brooms and pushing water out of the church. I still remember hearing about that dream since I was a kid. Now I can say that was a prophecy fulfilled because the majority of modern churches have turned into this intense social gathering. They've stopped altar calls, they stopped prayer groups, they even stopped Sunday night and weekday night services. They mock repentance, they mock obedience. They puff themselves up with theology and scorn revelation. They've turned bible-studies into self help mediation therapy. They actively ridicule the power of the Holy Spirit. They either turn the gifts into side-shows or they mock the gifts to the point of blasphemy. It's an odd landscape now. Either God is an all-powerful, Living being, or he's not. They can't seem to decide if he lives outside the paper or not.

Jesus delivered me from literal demons. I had a really dark life until I knew Jesus. The church basically tells me to deny my own experiences with God. I simply won't do that. I would be denying the Lord who loves me and freed me from shackles of despair.

I had a dream about there being a shooting in my job back in February. The shooting itself did not come true which I'm glad but is signified the death of my job as I knew it because it got worse and I ended up quitting because I felt like God was telling me to leave. It could also be that maybe the person that I was a year ago was gone and take heed to what is going on around me. I am happy to say that my life has been better since I quit and I feel more at peace. I think it's really messed up when people just discard prophecies and tell them that they are either making it up or that the devil is probably speaking to them..... I thank the Lord for warning me about my job because I would have been stuck!
Praise the Lord! Yes as Peter quoted we will have dreams and visions! Where would THAT have been found in the Bible? They love to say all they need is the Bible. Really?
And ironically the Bible POINTS them to prophecy!
@@abideintheWord if my dream does come true with the shooting my heart will be in despair because I love my coworkers but it will be a confirmation and a testimony of how he saved me and saved my life! I regret not quitting sooner but at least in the end I was obedient and well I didn't really have a choice because my mental health was deteriorating.... my mental health is now a lot better!
Mental health is a spiritual issue. If you take the Bible seriously, you would not have depression/anxiety. A tortured mind is a sign of disobedience to God and/or worldliness.
@@abideintheWord yeah maybe I'm not doing as much as I should be doing I mean I read the Bible every day and I pray but maybe I need to get back to where I used to be and keep knocking on God's door.

I've found that most of the present day foretelling futuristic prophetic utterances have proved to be false and inaccurate. However foretelling prophetic utterances can be edifying. All foretelling prophecies are already included in the cannon of scripture. I'm blessed by Sean for Revealing Truth.

@@abideintheWord The daughter's definitely did not foretell the futuristic event's but their prophesies were forthtelling in nature. All of the foretelling prophecies are recorded in the book of Revelation. You can only second that never add to that. To those who do add the scriptures say these things,
Revelation22:18,19.

I'm still little in Christ and have many things to learn as well as to unlearn doctrinally , but he appears to me lying on the whole scripture that he's talking about in the video, yet what irritates me the most is what he's claiming at 10 minutes and 09 seconds.
It's sneaky how he does it yet it's amazing that none of his listeners/subscribers seem to notice it.

Sean understands what prophecy is, unlike the rest of so-called Christianity. The book of Revelation speaks about the "spirit of prophecy". This is interpreted as "the testimony of Jesus". We can prophesy about future events by understanding and using biblical prophetic texts. The book of Revelation does this in the majority of places by using Old Testament sources.

@@abideintheWordIf there is a saved person, then absolutely but I want to get baptized as soon as possible since the Bible gives urgency of baptism. I don’t know anyone in my town that believes in true holiness. The churches I’ve went to believe in calvinism and women being teachers in the church. I don’t know any true brothers in Christ in person. How can I know if that person is not professing to know Christ but inwardly is a ravenous wolf?

@@abideintheWord Jehovahs witnesses have no basis in the bible that even remotely says that Jesus is the archangel Michael. But I meant what I said in terms of understanding that passage that says people will prophesy when the signs appear. Just that one part, not other parts of your video. He may have misunderstood what that meant, and got it wrong. Calling him out for being wrong is what we are supposed to do, but accusing him of lying when you don't know without a doubt his intentions is not right.

First off, thank you for looking out for God's word and people's sensitive minds. Too often we accept things without thinking. However, thinking that prophesy is not for today has nothing to do with salvation, and I think you are being a bit overkill. He is helping a lot of people. Most of the prophesies he talks about did not come true and is not accurate. The Nar is dangerous and even if he is wrong about all prophesy not being for today, he is helping people in other important areas and should not stop teaching.
Helping people? No he is a false teacher per 2 Peter 2 and Jude. Read them!
Mabey he is lying. But we can't know since we don't judge the heart. God does. Tell people he is wrong then. But don't accuse him of lying because the bible tells us not to judge from appearances.

I just want to say one more thing and I wanted to say that it is weird that in the last couple weeks that Sean has gotten into a lot of drama with Jordan Riley and he made probably two or three videos about it. It was like seeing a cat fight when they are both two grown men......If it were me, I would have personally not have talked about it and not give the satisfaction that he was affected by Jordan unless he is twisting the word of the Bible then that is different. This is not about us this is about Jesus Christ, God and what is said in the Bible! Even Paul had to rebuke Peter because Peter was acting like a hypocrite by agreeing with the Jews while sitting with the Gentiles
Also, with Peter being an apostle, it was an even more dangerous thing to do because he was leading people astray and Paul had to rebuke it immediately! Paul rebuking Peter had nothing to do with them personally but it had to do with correcting, putting accountability and what it was said in the word! If Paul didn't love Peter as a brother in Christ and he would have not corrected him and he too would have had blood on his hands!
Yes! It shows he is walking in the flesh and NOT being led by the Spirit. God is not orchestrating a cat fight among Christians -

The spirit was all wrong, and no one could give evidence of false prophecy except for mocking and bad faith arguments. Im still searching... and im beginning to feel like Neo. He said that the prophecy did not come exactly true. All biblical prophecy was true. Briggs said that the bullet flew by his ear, when the bullet actually hit his ear. If the prophesy is true, then it should be accurate.
