Still overcome to how fanastic my dad’s Rotrax looks. Paul has surpassed my expectations The Rotrax is absolutely gorgeous and Paul has put life back into her. Genius Dad passed last year but back in the early 50s himself with 3 friends cycled from South Wales to the French alps and Pyrenees twice on this bike I cannot thank Paul enough for his enthusiasm and passion put into restoring dad’s bike Thank you so much Paul
@@ianjames3759 hi Ian, it was an absolute pleasure to work on this bike and we are so happy you are pleased with the results. Would love to know how the first ride out goes 👍
It's an absolute pleasure to see such a fabulous restoration of a Rotrax bike. Well done, and I love your selection of componentry. I'm familiar with Rotrax because I lived in Southampton for 11 years. Once I needed a vintage 5 pin TA crankset in a hurry for a bike that was due to take part in a Moulton Club event a few days later. Mr Rotrax disappeared into the back room and brought one out, new-old stock. It's still fitted to the John Woodburn F frame Moulton.
I had a Rotrax in the late 60s it was my first proper racing frame. I let my brother in law have it he was a poverty stricken student he did it up and sold it to make a bit of money.

@@Stevehatesgravel oh wonderful but oh no! Shame you didn’t keep it 😂
A decade or so ago, a man in Pasadena CA was still importing these frames which he said were being made by his father back in the UK.
@@eltamarindo really cool to know! They’ve been going since the 1920’s and I *think* may still be running 👍
Looks great. Where do you get the new freewheels from?
@@JB-zi6kk thanks 👍 Cycle Division. Think they do customer sales
Horizontal dropouts not track ends! Track ends face backwards. Sorry to be a pedant……
Yeah you are right 👍
