The battery never was an issue once charged. That said I would probably shoot 40 shots and some video and then plug in to transfer so likely recharged up a fair amount. It's certainly good enough for at least 3-4 dozen shots and a bit of video without the power pack

Why when I insert the SD card does it not recognize it? It always gives a memory card prompt message
