    Hello Thank you sister! I am a fellow Maluba living in the USA. It's interesting to note that Lala which means to sleep in Tshiluba is also found in Lulliby which refers to music that makes people sleepy in English. It is so fascinating to see that Tshiluba has made an impression even on the English language.

    With Beti-fang (Cameroon, Gabon, eq. Guinea): I = ma; You =wa; He or She = A; Him or Her = nye; We= biya; You (pl) = bina; they = ba; them = bo

    In Lingala "lala ” means sleep as well😀 You know what it is great about learning Bantu languages? The more you learn few of them the easier it gets🤷🏾‍♀️
    Many linguists say that all Bantu languages are ONE but it sounds different because it spread around Africa by Bantu peoples, each tribe develop its own unique style, sounds and particularity but when you study all of them, you will see how close each Bantu languages are, not because it looks the same but for the fact that this is ONE LANGUAGE.
    By learning Kikongo you will get easier and faster in learning others Bantu languages (like lingala, swahili, Zulu): why because it’s the root of all Bantu languages according to African linguistics; some even find direct links with Kikongo and Latin languages, African linguists also think that Kikongo is THE MOTHER OF ALL LANGUAGES‼️😊

    Can “neba” be replaced with neunu?

    • @lubaclassboard
      @lubaclassboard  2 года назад

      Hello! Are you asking in terms of the singular word "you"?
      You can replace with "wewa", when talking to one person. For example, you come = wewa luaku
      When talking to 2 or more people , You (plural) = Neunu.
      Thank you! Enjoy

    What is "my" in Tshiluba? Is it "wanyi"?

    • @lubaclassboard
      @lubaclassboard  Год назад +1

      Hello! That's absolutely correct "my" is "wanyi". You would see this on further up lessons ex. Lesson 20.
      It can also take different forms ex. tshianyi, bianyi...depending on what is being described., see lesson 34 Important Pronouns.
      Mulunda wanyi=My friend
      Tshibuta tshianyi= My bag
      Bilamba bianyi= My clothes (plural). These Word Agreements are Lesson12.
      Thank you for your questions.
      Keep learning!

    There's a language called tshivenda in south africa..venda people are traced back from congo.
    Someone must research about these two tribes i see similarities in their languages

      Wow, thank you for sharing this news. It's lovely to know that Venda people are traced back to Congo. I knew of other South African tribe(s) being traced as such but wasn't aware for Vendas. Upon you message, I read and saw that Tshivenda is closely related to Tshiluba and other Congo languages.
      A research would be awesome. Will be doing more readings, too.
      Have a great day and thanks again!!
