    So there’s a $150 difference between the standard v6 and v6 EXB? I assume you’re going to be doing a comparison vid? This is one of my favorite channels, keep up the great work 💪

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Час назад +1

      I probably won't do a direct comparison video between the two simply because they're largely the same as far as performances concerned. Basically with this you get everything that the V6 is plus the 7075 shock towers aluminum front and rear bulkheads aluminum tower to chassis braces aluminum servo mount 7075 Ackerman bar and the upgraded upper front hinge pin mount. That's really all there is to the comparison though because while those are all more durable they're not really going to change how the car performs much

    The difference between Arrma and Traxxas is that Arrma is constantly listening to their customers and making improvements every now and then, while Traxxas releases a car and that's it for some 10 years at least. I have the original EXB roller and the thing is a beast. Never broke anything on it, though im not a hard basher.

      100% agree with you. Got the same message over three weeks ago. "Live Chat" is worthless. Bad esc in new Typhon. Had to send an email and several days later got a response. Horizon did mail me a new ESC. So for that I give them props. However, they need to step up customer service to Traxxas level. It is my first Arrma vehicle and I do like it, but without overhauling their customer service, I am not sure about ordering again through them. @@JPTulo

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  35 минут назад

      I tend to agree. Traxxas often leaves me scratching my head while Arrma makes me feel like they are responding to what people want. I know that some people won't be thrilled about the removal of the AVC receiver but my suspicion is that most people weren't using the AVC which is why they ended up getting rid of it but that's just a guess

      New versions of the trx4s.
      New versions of the x maxx.
      They put the wide kit on the maxx. They put belted tyres on the 3 or 4 year old sledge (and xmaxx).
      The updated the brushed crap to 2s brushless.

    I'd like your opinion. I noticed that on Team Corally cars they put a washer that captures the corner of the arm. This, in my experience, helps mitigate that break that often happens on Arrmas. But I'm not sure that tge washer is the reason. It seems to be why. But again not sure.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Час назад +2

      Yes having that reinforcement definitely helps prevent the arms from splitting in that area. This could definitely be done on these trucks but I suspect they aren't making the arms stronger because if they did the next thing up the line would end up breaking and it would result in a cascade of necessary upgrades. I'm sure they'll do it eventually but I don't think it's as simple as just making the arms stronger

    $50 more expensive than the now old V2...and they removed the better transmitter, way to go Arrma, way to go.

    Also, sorry folks forgot to ask this question, saw a cool little mini but it had an aluminum Tower to tower brace but hooks into composite towers, are the towers now the weak point as it hits out of the box 30 to 35 MPH, I feel like this is a dependent answer of if you upgrade to a faster or more powerful motor ESC combo and the supporting bits, I saw it jump and it did well for its size, but at half the price of a mohave Grom, well you get what you pay for, so I wonder, if I remember right "if" i remember right, didn't the Tower to tower brace cause the tower to break if hit hard enough on the first few iterations on the larger scale RCs?

      Correct. The main advantage of straight cut gears is the lack of axial force component. This often means that a larger gear can be used and the entire system is more simple and more efficient.
