Also known as Seaward Way Level Crossing.
There are old halogen warning lights, old barriers and unique 'e2s A100' alarms. Filmed in February 2016.
Thanks For Watching!
this older crossing is more fitting with the railway unlike the new one
Yeah, I guess this crossing did fit with the heritage theme, although, unlike the trains, it was life expired and needed replacing.
Bro I keep finding you everywhere 😂
We're bound to see a speeding ticket if that guy on the motorbike returns :-P

Nice one Jamie. I've been to film here before and it's quite an old crossing but still in good condition. I also like the halogens and E2S sounders.
Thanks Charlie. I really do like this crossing although I think it might have LED warning lights soon 😐😐
It looks like a normal crossing now with 4 barriers and LED's. I wish they kept the Alarm though because it sounded awesome
from going to Butlins, i have been across that crossing
Yes, I was staying at Butlins too when filming this.
That warning bell means everyone has to get out at level crossings if the train has passed the barriers will up and you can go everywhere
Dude why else would it happen
We all know that.
7:50 light malfunction
Some level crossings do that to say thanks for waiting but is quite rare as it does not happen very often
That only occurs to AHB Level Crossings.
They have a 'Thanks for waiting flash' when one barrier goes slower than the other one.
It doesnt actually mean 'thanks for waiting' it is actually just a slight fault with the barriers that causes it to reactivate
I know it was 5 years ago but its rare that it has E2S on halegon
Yeah it was quite a unique crossing. Now in the process of being upgraded to full barriers with new equipment.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel Sounds nice
Wow there's an McDonald's near the level crossing
Who operate this crossing
It's automatic I believe
2:28 there is Moter bike really fastt

Bidari Kindhy Did your comment get encrypted? (No need to answer)
What a reckless motorcyclist! 😰
Think it had been upgraded to LEDs and quad-barriers (not sure what the technical term is) when I went there a couple of years ago but I may be wrong
It was due an upgrade in 2019 but I don't think it's happened yet.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel hmm ok, thanks for the info!
I dont know why but that alarm gives me Day Jah Voo
Its annoying for certain lol
XD
I love it but when I watch your videos my family says "TURN IT OFF!"
I’m shocked they haven’t put LEDs in yet
Next year there's going to be an upgrade
+UK Level Crossings Channel so they are gonna upgrade minehead level crossing next year with LED lights? Do you know when about next year that will be?
Not that I am in a hurry but I wonder when Minehead Level Crossing will be upgraded with LED lights🙈🙈
Some point in 2019 - I'd imagine before the summer season
I seem to remember that when I went there about a year or two ago it had been upgraded with quad-barriers (not sure what the technical term is) and LEDs although I may be wrong
I thought the line was semaphore signaled, whats the reason for the colour lights before the crossing?
To allow trains to safely enter the station, and with shunting trains, which points have been set in which direction. There is also a white flashing light which is active whilst the level crossing is in the safe lowered position.
dude they go down then up then down I went through but i shut shame on them they need to sort that
7:50 error
Is this normal that steam locomotives are normally in working?
This is a private heritage railway line, so yes, steam and diesel locomotives run up and down this line as its a tourist attraction and not a mainline railway.
I WANT A MCDONALD'S

UK Level Crossings lol
just go to that McDonalds to get
some BEKFAST!
Eunice Schuitema I went today for lunch
MacDonalds is trash🍔🍟🍔🍟C:C:
and an old woman with a big head needs to block ur view of the steam train in the first video
Rude.
there were originally Yodalarms here
Yeah, I know. One of them sounded very squeaky. The railway replaced them with e2s A100s start of 2000 ish.
UK Level Crossings actually the Yodalarms were there untill around 2008, they weren't that squeaky.
UK Level Crossings
+Max Ganesh what type of alarms are they now
+UK Railway Hub why was the motor bike going really fast
Because he was a knob. To put it plain.
😂
E2S ALARMS :D
Yes, but they are the A100 type. The more common e2s alarms are the A105N type 😁
UK still has steam?
This is on a heritage steam railway. (The West Somerset Railway)
So old equipment :P
Needs updating
Ikr. There's also other AOCL's with old bells on this railway line too. This probably isn't the oldest.
UK Level Crossings Ooohhhh. Could you give me a link on maps? You should go there :)
+TrainBuddy 123 All the other crossings have been recorded by other people.
Roebuck Lane LC (I believe this hasn't changed at all and is still in this state with white borders, a bell and old St Andrews Crosses):

+UK Level Crossings Wrong links. The bottom one is correct. Here's the Roebuck one: ruclips.net/video/E_kZy00Jzeg/видео.html
Well, this crossing is on a heritage railway after all so you can't expect crossings to have new equipment such as LEDs. Northwood has VERY mossy lights but have only been there for 5 years, but it has apparently got halogen Pike Wigwags.
The crossing is halogen because it is likely to suit the railway line more than LED lights

I hate half barriers.
Why's that? Safety?
pretty much, I think a single barrier could cover all of the road if cleverly designed.
Yeah. You're probably right. Although Network Rail are upgrading many half barrier crossings to full barrier crossings all over the UK.
7:40 mavis

2 misuses.
This is how alarm should sound like on all UK Level Crossings.
