I decided to put this Star Wars piano medley together over the past week to celebrate the release of the new movie. Since there was such huge anticipation of Episode 9, I tried to make the arrangement equally epic! As a result, I chose four of the most iconic themes from Star Wars as a whole and put them together. Modulating between the different keys of the themes was a fun challenge-I think the frequent changes heightened the improvisatory elements of the music. I wrote pretty tricky piano textures for each of the themes, so be warned! This arrangement is quite advanced.

this is amazing. you took what john williams created and made it even more beautiful. i wish i was that advanced to be able to play this. the love theme got me emotional, just remembering growing up with these amazing movies. thank you for this!

Yes, that's a great theme! I might do a separate arrangement for that in the future. It didn't really go with the mood of the other themes for this medley, unfortunately.
@@JonathanMorrisMusic I think that the Cantina Band theme does not fit the theme of this medley. Indeed, it is better to make a separate tutorial on it

Thanks! It's a combination of a lot of things. I have a custom-built LED setup, and then I edit using Synthesia and Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects.

Hello Jonathan, today I found this, as the biggest Star Wars fan I listened several times. I was very proud of my Star Wars Medley on piano- until I listened your hypnotic, intense and tremendous arrangement and performance :). Unfortunately I can give only one like. I would give 10 if I could :). Iit´s hard to say wich part is the most beautiful , they all are, but if I had to decide I would take the first part - The Force Theme. Musical greetings Liam

The new trilogy sucks, it doesnt have good music like the prequels and the original trilogy had.
I don't think many people would agree with that😂John Williams doesn't write bad music, and whether you like the films or not the soundtrack to the new trilogy is as impressive as both previous trilogies with EASE🙌some stunning pieces in there
@@elliotwilsonpersonal3328 nah i didn't hear anything that could match songs like 'duel of fates', 'the force theme', and 'across the stars'. All I heard were remix of old themes. Music aside, the only thing Disney did right for the movies were Rogue One and Mandolorian. I feel like they rushed things in the new trilogy and should've explained more background on the characters. 6 is and will always be the real ending for me.
