Great video, I had a set of these back in 95 and preferred cause it locked nicely with that center nut, nice to see someone out there still appreciates those wheels they were my favorite
Bro. Thanks for the video. I just picked up a 1988 CRX with 13x7 100 Spokes. I can’t wait to get these back on the road. They are still wrapped with BFG’s from 1995
Those are dope, I had two sets of 15x7’s on my ‘90 5.0 back in ‘96 & ‘97, neither set last more than 3 months before my car was stolen each time, gave up on wires for a few years until Dubs became the new thing and wires were less likely to get stolen, I thought Roadstars were a great value and better than D’s!
I like the fluted spinners and the eagle chips. They scream 90s. Also the offset. The spinner is pushed out closer to the lip of the dish than any other wire wheel. I prefer them over any wires
I miss my RoadStars, I had a set of 72 spoke all chrome with the gold 2way spinner, had them for almost 2 years and sold them late 99 ($600) to get them la wire KOs that all had just to pound on that knock off, wish I hadn't though. I was using a breaker bar on them RoadStar hubs.
Thanks for the video looking forward to cruising next year already cold as hell up in Washington State but I picked up a pair of 15 x 10 $250 the guy didn't know what he had I was actually looking for some old-school McClain's but I just couldn't pass these up
I just bought a 83 Fleetwood in the trunk 4 sets of Roadstar rims and adapters, but no spinners, I've searched everywhere for just for the spinners. Is there another alternative for these rims can I use a different set of adapters? How can you point me in the right direction for set of spinners
I think mine were like 14-80 spoke I believe The thing about it I had a tool that was long like a socket and I used to put the star at the end of it and then the other side fit inside that metal slot where you put that socket you were putting there do you remember they were like gold color
Had triple gold 100 spoke. Roadstars k.o.'s back in the day the only thing I didn't like was the spinner sometimes got stuck on the hub lock. But were always my favorite knock off really nice seeing this vid! Man but when that hub got stuck your fuc__d!
Look how the chrome plating holds up from 96 compared to the china's. Nothing wrong with Rollin china's either in my book. Whatever gets you rolling use it but you can definitely see a difference between the 2. How do you know the years and series? I have about 5-7 sets of wheels and I don't have a clue how to read them to find out... Can you do a video on that subject sometime maybe? Please? LoL
I would love to find out if the rims I have in hand are roadsters and I've been struggling finding the right adapters and spinners and if you can help me i would really appreciate it. I bought a set of 15×10 for my sons Mazda b2200 but no luck on finding the right adapters.

@@lonestarlows where do I send the pictures too. I couldn't figure it out to do it on here. But I'm also interested if I have to buy a set of wheels with the same adapters and can swap out rims once in awhile I'm ok with that
What are the difference between Roadster & Roadstar? I’ve been looking for set. One of my all time favorite wheel! Seem the star stick out more than the other brands.
I always thought the Roadster was the bolt on version and RoadStar the hub adapter type version. I had both, always had to take the caps/spinners of the bolt ons and always taking off the decorative spinner on the hub adapter type. Still they were my fav wire wheels til this day.
By far the best lowrider wire wheels built with ko style. The design and look is distinctive. Not to mention the added safety with the true locking design. Would be nice if they started remaking them.
I just picked up a set of used roadster roadstar 13x7 100 spoke series 3 wire wheels. On the adapter, it says "Off", "Lock", "On". When loosening/tightening, Should the flat part of the 8mm hex lock be facing inward? If your installing the wheel and you're finished tightening, Do you turn the 8mm hex lock so the flat part faces outward toward the word "Lock"? When loosening, it would be just the opposite. Is this the correct way to install/remove the wheel? And what does "Off" and "On" mean? Just want to make sure I that I'm doing everything correctly.
