@@RawDealCo Yeah that's kind of what I thought. Made me pretty happy though! It's a cyberpower prebuilt and was basically in brand new condition. I wonder if maybe they shipped it like that. It's likely that someone buying a pre-built wouldn't know too much about it or how to fix it. I used my ID to bend the pins back correctly on the CPU and it turned right on. At first I thought The motherboard was bad because I tested every other part on my other AM4 PC until I pulled the CPU and seen the pins bent. Replaced my gtx 1070 with the 6700. It's a great card

Great to finally see some content on this card, looks like a solid buy for £300 or so! When it comes to the comparison would love to see it compared against the 6600, 6700XT, 3060 and maybe the 3060TI? Never really been sure where this card sits so looking forward to the data!

According to Techpowerup the 3060ti is 5% faster, the cheapest 3060ti at overclockers is £120 more expensive, I'd just buy one of these. I'd especially go that route as I have an AMD platform and their resizable BAR implementation will even that out well enough with some games outperforming 3070s on this card, games such as Forza Horizon 5 for example.

I don't do RT comparisons as a rule because AMD aren't even in that sphere in that regard, they're not capable of competing against RTX20 in RT, not close. They also have an additional functional disadvantage in that they have no alternative to Tensor core witchcraft. It's a simple choice between rasterised performance and additional functions at an additional cost.

At this money Nvidia give you a 3050, compared to that this is a beast of a card. Baring in mind that it's at a performance level between a 6600xt and 6700xt it's like a budget 3070 and I'd take the money saving over better RT and DLSS, or as a price alternative to a 3050 the massive performance uplift.

I love my 6700! I bought the Sapphire Pulse model on August 5th, installed it on August 15th after a wait that felt like forever (Newegg shipping definitely isn't that of Amazon Prime), and so far, the card has been really good! It was good out of the box, but after watching Ancient Gameplay's undervolting / overclocking guide for the card, as well as disassembling the card and replacing the thermal paste with some Arctic MX-4, it's now even better! It boosts higher, holds the boost for longer, and also runs a solid 3 - 5°C cooler. 👌
One of my only complaints about my 6700 is that it runs quite a bit hotter than my ASUS Dual 6600 does, but the 6700 is also a more powerful card, so the increase in temperature is to be expected. Still, though, compared to the old XFX RX 590 I used for a couple years, the 6700 runs very cool. The hottest I've seen my 6700 run at is 76°C when I stress tested it with the Superposition "4K Optimized" benchmark, but Superposition is incredibly taxing, so the fact that my 6700 stayed under 80°C and remained at around 60fps is very impressive. In the same benchmark, my old RX 590 would've been on its knees, only getting between 10 and 15fps while begging for mercy running at around 83°C. So, while my 6700 isn't as good temperature-wise as my 6600, the 6700 is still a massively colder-running card than was the XFX Fatboy RX 590 I used for two years. Not to mention, according to TechPowerUp, the 6700 is around 51.00% faster.
The only other complaint I have about my 6700 is that the one I got came with some fairly noticeable machining marks/scratches on the heatsink assembly, but I'm just being extremely nitpicky about that. Functionally, the card performs perfectly, and it was definitely a good use of $382.85 at the time of purchase. Although, it definitely stings a little now knowing that, had I waited a month and a half longer, the XT model 6700s would drop to between $350.00 and $370.00 here in the US. But, back in early August, the XT models were still selling for $430.00 - $450.00, and I absolutely couldn't justify that $70.00 to $90.00 price increase as I was working with an extremely strict budget. Luckily, according to TechPowerUp, the 6700 non-XT is only about 7.00% slower than the XT model 6700s, so I'm not losing out on that much performance. Plus, I only game at 1080p 60fps medium/high settings anyway, so I really wouldn't have benefited all that much from the extra 7.00% or so performance bump of the 6700 XT cards. With my performance and gaming standards, the 6700 non-XT will easily last me till late 2024 / early 2025. 😁

I picked up the sapphire model from overclockers to replace a gtx 1080. It even came with 3 free games. So far it's been spot on and for the price it's a great deal. With any new card there's a few hiccups when it comes to the driver optimisation but that'll only improve. I've got a good undervolt with a little overclock and it doesn't get passed 68°c. Very happy with it.

I primarily use it for high refresh rate 1080p gaming and so far it performs exceedingly well.
