Eating WORST Old MRE 🤮 Chicken Salsa HORROR! 🤢 2004 US Military Meal Ready To Eat Taste Test Review

- I’ve eaten a lot of questionable rations here on the channel. This 19-Year-Old US MRE may be the worst ever though. We are taste testing Menu 7 from 2004, Chicken with Salsa, and oh boy was this Meal Ready to Eat RANK! Apparently it was stored in a hot garage, and I believe it because the contents were completely cooked. The flavors and smells were so vile they were hard to describe but I did my best. If I never have a meal this bad again it will be too soon. It’s a shame too because I bet this was a great menu when it was fresh.
Thanks for watching!

Steveo is hearing footsteps closing on him. 👍
"That is terrible! Lets take another bite." 😝
Ha! Couldn't help but think of the old camp song, "Found a Peanut." For those who are too young to know it, it repeats with "it was rotten...", "ate it anyway", "went to the hospital", "died anyway", "went to heaven", "met Saint Peter".... and on it goes! Hope you don't get sick from this one!!
Rancid in a bag! 👍 Taking one for the team.
You talking about 2004 like it was an ancient time really makes me feel old. I was issued these MRE's when they were new and I remember this one being one of the better ones. I guess I am just getting old... 😂
Well in terms of food 2004 was a pretty good while ago. For me 04 feels like yesterday lol
Hey Readie that was bad. But glad you gave it a shot ! 👊
Nice review. How could anyone leave a ration in a garage for years like that unless their in Alaska. Never seen a retort pouch come apart like that ... interesting. Hope you didn't get sick. Have a good day.
Awesome review RR
Okay, you lost me at the soft penut, hahaha, holy frick, my man! Wow. Good job, but...I'm terrified
That was the biggest surprise for me. I've never experienced something like that before
When the best thing you can say is the MRE didn’t make your mouth tingle, that’s not a ringing endorsement.
The new mre cheesebar with jalapeno! Lol
Dude, you've got to be careful with peanut, let alone old peanut; Aspergillus flavus is a carcinogen
The first MRE that conquered you!
Dude..lol..I woulda hard passed on that one..
RR, you are A brave man my friend, LOL. Not all items survived, but it looks like you had A good time at least. I hope no ill affects the next day. Peace, John.
Excellent review, as always! You are a trooper! And by the way, congratulations!!! 💍
Good demonstration on the layers of a retort pouch😮 I hope you never have to do that again. Sorry to see that this didn't work out, but I suppose it was expected.
Really enjoyed. I laughed with you! Thank You
Thanks for Watching!!
@@ReadinessRations Enjoy your reviews! :)
Wow. I had one of these very recently from early 2004. 4007, which would be January 7, 2004. Although some of the inside packages were marked 3353, The 353rd day of 3, which would be December 19, 2003. So late 2003 to early 2004. The skittles were liquified, and the cheese spread had turned into clay. The rice was *very* dry but the chicken in salsa was fairly liquidy. I mixed the cheese spread in with the rice and chicken, as it wasn't spreadable and super crumbly (and brown, and inedible otherwise) and I ate it all. I heated it up in a mess kit pan on an Esbit stove. It was fine. The shortbread cookies were, edible. They tasted like chemicals. And something about them was just off. Didn't eat them all. Nothing made my mouth numb or burn. I don't think anything in mine was spoiled and I did enjoy it. The meal reminded me of chicken with tomatoes and feta cheese. Tasted very similar. The meal wasn't bad, but I've had much better. Yours had obviously been exposed to heat stress, and mine hadn't been nearly as much. I bet it would have been really good back in the day when it was new.
Great video as always man take care
The lord of the ring poster you have is now quite a rare one.
Dude! That is so nasty, I don’t know how you do this! That being said, it definitely would have been cool to try ‘in the day’. The name and side sound fantastic. I was really surprised that the beverages weren’t clumped together and undrinkable. I wonder who packaged the mocha beverage if it was that good. Thanks for sharing this one RR
I think i have never seen ice tea in an mre what a lucky find 😂
They don't put it in them anymore!
What is that you say??? Son that's the taste of clostridium botulinum!!!
Lmao I just hope you didn’t get sick
Not this time
Love the videos and sorry it wasn't edible
Maximum effort! Minimum returns really, sorry things didn’t taste much better…😢
Really took one for the team here brother, when your chicken is the same color as beef you're gonna have a bad time 😅
Dude. You gotta heat up the cheese spread. Sometimes mix it with the main course for a true culinary delight
I've done it! That's my favorite way to have the chicken noodles
Jalapeños cheese spread? I thought that didn't come out until recently?
Dude, be careful! Wanna have future vuds from you.
Wow. Appreciate the review, but next time just say it's bad and move on. Hope you're feeling okay.
Dude. That chicken died 20 years ago.
I've eaten chicken 40 years old.
You're going to eat an MRE that's roughly 19 years old. It shouldn't possibly be edible
I do it on a regular basis. I've actually had one 40 years old
@@ReadinessRations you eaten any old rations that gave you bad gastro?
Oh my. Did you pay a lot of money for this one? I’m surprised you kept going back for more bites.
Why would you want to consume foul-smelling ancient food that could kill you? This just makes me feel sad for you.
Oh man why do that to yourself?
Worse than pork Patty?
this be one of those meals repulsive to everything, init?
UGH ! Do that out side.
Bro I love cheese sometimes lol.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👎👎👎👎
Id let the trash try it first. Hope you didnt sick.
