SidKick Pico is an amazing project. I have ordered the pcb's and mounted one in my C64. It really sounds great. I guess it's not possible for most people to tell the difference between a real sid and this emulation. I'm wondering if any of these Chinese pico board clones (I have several ones) would be suitable (I'll try). It's funny when you think about it, as the pico itself is much more powerful than the C64 and could easily run a C64 emulator :)
The best one to get might be the latest version that is the same size as a real SID. It has the pico built onto the board. Unless you are a soldering black belt 7th dan master I suggest you get the PCB company to assemble it ;-)
@g4z-kb7ct 😄😆 I'm not bad at soldering but certainly not 7th Dan lol BTW I tried a Chinese pico board and it works fine. 100% compatible with the original rp2040 board, it seems
Hi the tool to change the firmware actually comes in the zip file with the firmware. You just run it from command prompt with name of the firmware file and the two bus timings. Or, you can place the sktiming .prg on a disk, and load it in the config utility by pressing F7 and it will install on the pi so you can change run the program to change the timing from the c64. Maybe I should do a short video on this?

I have a sidkick here. Will the fixed firmware be available either in the official firmware release site or put up somewhere by you?
