Good on you for shouting out Hagen - his channel is great and he seems like a genuine dude. If you look at what the Googan squad did in bass fishing and basically made a mint - you, Justin, ChattCats, and Hagen could for sure make your own catfish gear company and shift things. Rods, hooks, whatever. The Googan guys knew that at the end of the day sales is what makes a company, and all the other guys would be terrified if y'all decided to get into it.
Honest stuff. The best kind of stuff. C Dave is entertaining. He is a very good fisherman that catches nice fish. But above all of that he is himself and honest.
Catfish Dave and Dieter melhorn both have great channels. Dieter's comments were turned off by RUclips due to him having kids in some of his videos. RUclips done it to a lot of great channels.

I had no dm idea how hard you worked and how much you’ve given but ..... thanks Dave, I really do appreciate all you’ve done . I have been successfully in business for 22 years , in the middle to high end contracting an I loved it. I’m pretty much shut down now with Ms multiple sclerosis now but I’m thankful to be able to give. l spend a good portion of my time to watch great fishing shows like yours. Don’t stop loving and sharing your passion.

Thank you for the realistic look on the catfish game. I used stand about the learning all over again once you get a boat. I bought mine about 8 months ago and on top of that I moved from Chattanooga up to ten mile above the watts bar dam. Slowly learning my new fishing waters. You oughta buy a mini freezer for your skipjack and shad. I have one and it allowed me to catch and keep 10 times more bait. Currently in mine i have 15 pounds of kool aid chicken breast, 2 pounds of cut carp and 2 cups of chicken liver and still have room for more. You could easily pack 10 3 pound bags of cut or whole skipjack and shad in there.
Dave i watch about all the videos you put out, i have been a sub for well over a 1 1/2 years, i have also learned a lot by watching, i have caught a few cats on melton hill, that's my back yard, the past 3 months my wife & i have been at Kingston park, just below the picnic pavilion on the track, we have our PB with flat head 18lb & blue 39" there (you know where i am talking about).. she is excited about going fishing now, (she is hooked & i thank you).. i dont leave many comments on any you tube channel, but i wanted to let you know this is by far the best one i have seen. dont worry about the haters, & i also hope you tell that guy with the swelled ego the has a BOSS title to kiss your ***.. ..keep doing what you do & we will keep watching... Thanks for the trip along memory lane. Many who watch and think 'I could do that' don't realize the amount of work required to excel at this RUclips thing. Recording, editing, and uploading require a significant time commitment that is added to the time required to keep gear, boats, etc in working order.
After one day, you have 2.2k likes and only 20 dislikes so you don't really have a lot people that dislike you Dave. You are genuine, down to earth good entertainment and I know because I have been loving catfishing for over sixty years.

Well son... that is one reason I like to watch your videos.. you give an honest showing of what fishing is really about.. as they said when I was a pup "some days you eat the bear and some days the bear eats you!" It ain't just going out and catching the big ones and a hundred every time... sometimes you got dogs barking and people shooting and the fish have all gone to the poker game.. then there are the times when that big ole chuck comes by and says "hummm dinner!" .. (Damn I 'member them old amps.. Whooo hoo sound good!) Born and raised in PNW really cold freshwater fisheries was my mentor on fishing. Yet I got to see native Salmon in tiny streams spawning future generations. Bullheads were my early catfish experience, so watching you and others living where truly large catfish lives plus learning a few things that make my "how to's" knowledge base was a plus! Thanks, Dave for sharing your bank fishing experiences as boats are out of my fishing world.
I like the way Hagen lets Alton reel in some big fish. You're right he is very willing to share anything he has learned with us amateurs. Enjoyed listening to you wail on the Fender. I have always liked your vedios. They are real life fishing from a real working man. They show the good and the bad the Triumphs and failures.they are honest down to earth real fishing vedios. I enjoyed this vedio most out of them all because it gave a look into your life and what it takes to do what you do I know you want to catch that money fish but I know it dont always happen but I watch every vedio no matter what because it is what it is and you dont sugar coat it. There’s a lot of fishing youtubers I follow and they all catch big fish, that’s only half the reason I watch, personality is the other half. Dave is the most entertaining and lets the viewers into his personal life. That’s why this is my favorite channel

I'm sure it would be more stress, but there's a lot you could market with hats, shirts, stickers ect. Bunker branding does a lot of shirts and other things for many influencers across RUclips and Instagram . Could be something you could take a look at.

You said it Dave, "People watch too try and make them a better fisher!" Therefore, you need to do more detailed videos such as, your setup and the rod and reels you use. When you start putting businesses products out there that might help a little too. Just my .02. By the way, what is your opinion on the Anvil rods? I've thought about ordering me a couple after watching your videos but kinda stuck on rather to buy heavy or med. heavy action. I fish Ohio and Muskingum Rivers and we do have respectable size blue and flatheads. Thanks in advance and I enjoy watching your channel along with Hagen Grubbs.
Thanks for the additional insight. I always knew you were the real deal (however, you did scare me when you got on the chicken bandwagon). You have taught me a bunch about this sport. Keep fighting the good fight. When I can't get out because of cold rain or old creaky joint pain, there is always the opportunity to watch your videos. It is the next best thing to being on my boat.
I don’t don’t even catfish anymore like I use to. I’m more of a saltwater fisherman. But I still thoroughly enjoy every video you put out Dave. Keep it up you’ll be at 100k by sometime next year I bet
Yeah I have a brother that was a lot like you Dave.! Working at a paper mill and lived for his five days off to fish for the big yellow cats. About 75 was his best one that I remember. Great video and commentary!! Loved it

I have always liked your vedios. They are real life fishing from a real working man. They show the good and the bad the Triumphs and failures.they are honest down to earth real fishing vedios.

I know you want to catch that money fish but I know it dont always happen but I watch every vedio no matter what because it is what it is and you dont sugar coat it.

There’s a lot of fishing youtubers I follow and they all catch big fish, that’s only half the reason I watch, personality is the other half. Dave is the most entertaining and lets the viewers into his personal life. That’s why this is my favorite channel

I'm sure it would be more stress, but there's a lot you could market with hats, shirts, stickers ect. Bunker branding does a lot of shirts and other things for many influencers across RUclips and Instagram . Could be something you could take a look at.

You said it Dave, "People watch too try and make them a better fisher!" Therefore, you need to do more detailed videos such as, your setup and the rod and reels you use. When you start putting businesses products out there that might help a little too. Just my .02. By the way, what is your opinion on the Anvil rods? I've thought about ordering me a couple after watching your videos but kinda stuck on rather to buy heavy or med. heavy action. I fish Ohio and Muskingum Rivers and we do have respectable size blue and flatheads. Thanks in advance and I enjoy watching your channel along with Hagen Grubbs.
Thanks for the additional insight. I always knew you were the real deal (however, you did scare me when you got on the chicken bandwagon). You have taught me a bunch about this sport. Keep fighting the good fight. When I can't get out because of cold rain or old creaky joint pain, there is always the opportunity to watch your videos. It is the next best thing to being on my boat.
I don’t don’t even catfish anymore like I use to. I’m more of a saltwater fisherman. But I still thoroughly enjoy every video you put out Dave. Keep it up you’ll be at 100k by sometime next year I bet

Yeah I have a brother that was a lot like you Dave.! Working at a paper mill and lived for his five days off to fish for the big yellow cats. About 75 was his best one that I remember. Great video and commentary!! Loved it
