    FABULOUS, THIS IS INCREDIBLE!! I think 🤔 that this may save the lives of so many fish in our fish room.

      Thanks. It's easy to add more or bigger batteries to this system if you need to power more stuff.

      @@Gilsfishroom I would like to just keep my linear piston air pump running. As long as that's going then all my tanks should be good. Not worried about heaters and other filters. I'm going to check into this.

      By chance could you tell me the actually hook ups as I seen yours is all set up ..
      I just want to know how to plug in my things running the tank ..
      And what's best to plug in this set up and what is not the vest to even bother hooking up to the set up ?

      @Gilsfishroom  8 месяцев назад +1

      I have one of my sump pumps hooked up. If you hook up things like lights and heaters, they will drain the battery faster.

    Dear Gil:
    I’m well-blessed. Kentucky Utilities switched to underground, power lines, after the outage in winter, 2009. We haven’t had an outage of more than a few minutes, since.
    super-jealous of your, amazing skills,
    All my best,
    Sincerely,
    E. J. Brinegar

      Dear E.J,
      I live out of town, and a couple of years ago we lost power for 3 days after a storm. We have a generator, but I worry about losing power while I'm at work. I have this connected to a pump in my sump so it will be business as usual in the event of a blackout. Thanks again for your interest.
      Regards, Gil.

    After seeing this and your diy auto water change video I think you must've been an engineer. Thank you for the warning about the math portion, I'm just going to trust you on that 😅. Anyway, really brilliant video and hope you have a happy new year! 🙂👍

      No your Highness, I am just a simple steering wheel attendant. Working out the math sucked, but it is fairly accurate. Happy new year to you too.

    In the words of the original Lizzie Birdsworth from Prisoner
    YOU LIL BEAUTY!
    Cheers mate I've been doin my head in trying to figure out exactly how to do this

      Thanks mate. I was looking at all sorts of things until I came across the ups inverter. If you use a deep cycle battery like I did, remember to cycle the battery every 1-2 weeks by draining it down to 50% charge. That will make the battery last a lot longer. Thanks for not calling me Vinegar Tits.

    Nice work! I’m going to base a back up system on your idea!
    We had a 36 hour black out on the Sunny Coast a coupe of years ago - not my favourite 36 hours but no fish died and bacteria survived (I used 3 x D battery size air pumps but - they’re annoyingly loud).

      Thanks mate. This ups inverter is the way to go. It is easy to add more batteries for more storage.

    Is there a 24v version of these inverters as i want to run a Jebao 18000 24v dc return pump thanks Col

    • @Gilsfishroom
      @Gilsfishroom  2 года назад

      G'day Col, I have 2 Jebao return pumps in my sump and one of them runs off this inverter. Your pump may run on 24v but the input voltage will be whatever comes out of your power point or socket, which in Australia is 240v.
