I stash clothes I don't like atm (cuz buying new isn't in my budget sometimes) and after a year or so my taste has changed and suddenly I'm happy I kept them^^.
And if you dont like it after a time, maybe a buddy might like it. I've let my friends raid my closet for new stuff a few times😂. I buy a lot of really high quality thrifted items so my friends even end up getting a lot of wear from them. And if its tore up then it becomes a cleaning rag and eventually a fire starter when theres just threads left. Then theres no waste.
I wish i did this with a cute pink frilly dress i got like 2 years ago. i didnt really enjoy it and gave it away, but looking back on the photos im just like "damn that was cute on me" 🥲
Also keep in mind life circumstances; I was unemployed all winter so I have things that didn’t get used that I will wear again now that things have changed!
These are great tips! Doing this with a couple skirts now. I see pretty fabric at thrift store, I buy. Which leads to some skirts with very weird silhouettes that don't necessarily fit with the rest of my closet, unless I try really hard to style them.
I need to sort out my clothes soon-I have too many of some items and not enough of others and I find myself wearing the same few items. Also got to get out the stain remover and sewing kit, some of my stuff can definitely be fixed up with a little effort.
I rotate all my clothes through my closet. So the clean stuff goes in on one side, the stuff I wear comes out the other side. I don’t give myself the choice to not wear it if I don’t feel like it (though I do give myself the option between casual/more dressed up obviously). If I’ve worn the item 3-4 times and hate it every time, it goes to the thrift or giveaway to a friend.
That skirt, or any skirt with an elasticized waistband, and be worn as a strapless dress with a light sweater or shirt as a jacket layer. great for the heat, because the volume of fabric will catch any and all air movement which will help you stay cooler.
I turn my clothes hangers backwards at the beginning of the year and turn them right as I wear the clothes. if they are still backwards at the end of the year then I obviously don't need it
I think my struggle with getting rid of certain things in my closet is the “does it go on, fit well enough, and look good to outsiders” question. I have these long sleeve shirts that I hate but I know they easily work into an outfit and other people like it, it’s just me. So I see that skirt you’re wear and I think it looks great! But you might not like it even though other people do
I have a rule: if it isn’t a seasonal item and it hasn’t been worn in six months, it has to go. I donate a lot of nice, new clothes this way, but if I don’t wear it, at least someone can benefit.
Honestly Ive had clothes I just kept stored away for a year or years, and then when I find it again its suddenly so charming and feels new again
yes i’ve done this too!!!
I think you should keep the skirt, it is adorable!
But if she doesn’t wear it or doesn’t like it then there’s no reason to keep it
You're not the one wearing it though. If the owner doesn't like it or plan on wearing it, they shouldn't feel pressured to keep it.
When you scrunched the hem with one hand it looked the best. Sort of Vivien Westwood inspired.

The second outfit is so cool!
thank you!!
That skirt is really cute
But....the skirt is sooo pretty 🥲
Also keep in mind life circumstances; I was unemployed all winter so I have things that didn’t get used that I will wear again now that things have changed!
That could become a cute top!

It's cute i love the length and flowyness and the tiers, but I gotta say I don't live the pattern that much, I would try dyeing it tbh😗
Omg it actually looks so good on yoi with some of the outfits!
ur handwriting is so good omfg
I literally wrote all the stuff in this video so slowly so it would look good 💀

Very smart tips!
i love that skirt!
Now I want a skirt like that.
I rotate all my clothes through my closet. So the clean stuff goes in on one side, the stuff I wear comes out the other side. I like that idea

Personally I love it
It's cute, add a sun hat!
I turn my clothes hangers backwards at the beginning of the year and turn them right as I wear the clothes. if they are still backwards at the end of the year then I obviously don't need it
Choice number 4. Wear it as a top.
I do this thing where I chose one item of clothing I haven’t worn in a while and style it. Once I can’t do that.. it’s time to give it away

Not worth wearing clothes just for others to like it.
the second option is great!!!! thank you
All the outfits worked on u 😊
After the forcing myself to wear it I usually get rid of it, it’s like a last hoorah, but great tips!
And if you want to rid it, donate it! To a friend or to an organization, either works.
cute skirt wear it with a plain fitted top
I make myself wear things too. Usually makes the decision very easy.
These are great tips!!! I’ve done all of these before!! Can I plz ask where your whole sneakers are from?? I’ve been looking for ones just like that!
the white ones? they’re from Allbirds! the canvas pacers
I have a rule: if it isn’t a seasonal item and it hasn’t been worn in six months, it has to go. I donate a lot of nice, new clothes this way, but if I don’t wear it, at least someone can benefit.
If you don't want this skirt you should give it to me ;) jk but I really liked the different ways you styled it!
I heard it too in Laguna Niguel!
I'd change the shape of it into a crop top and a mini skirt this way you will difenetly wear it .
Anything I'm not sure about or haven't worn in a year I get rid of.
that’s a good rule of thumb!
I neeeeed to know where this skirt is from!
Amour Vert! it’s a sustainable brand
That was a keep. Nice skirt.
Where are your sandals from?
the black sandals are from Intentionally Blank
@@acTEEvism thank you so much!
I have that same ben and jerrys shirt 💀
it's one of my favs!!!!
I want that skirt, ok, not want need, off to my sewing machine I go
I force myself to wear it. If im not comfortabele or i dont feel pretty. I sell or donate.
Unrelated: where is your calendar from?
I found it on Amazon!
you could probably wear it as a dress too
Better keep that skirt ahaha
The skirt is great and looks lovely on you. But really nothing else you own seems to fit with it
Who has time for this ? Omg I can't imagine seems great though..
Wouldn’t it be more sustainable to keep your clothing long term so you don’t need to buy more clothes?
