The REAL question is what is main beginning of the wars in ALL these nations. The 1960s problem between Somalia and Ethiopia was petroleum deposit, The Ivory Coast was The cacao for The Nestle, Hershey, and others. The Sudanese case is petroleun, The Congo is minning. Sierra Leone is diamond, The Libyan case is petroleum and fear of African unity in one currency which was almost about to begin.
A classical example of humanitarian intervention is when the world came Together As One for saving the life of the people of Ethiopian during the severe and catastrophic famine

"Humanitarian intervention"= "We will control your natural resources now" interest in Syria is solely due to its advantageous position of transporting oil reserves from Iran. All these "military interventions" would not exist if the US diversified its energy production and move away from oil and gas. China is building transport routes and infrastructure connecting Asia with Africa and Europe. The US should do the same, or they should do it first.

Gravity is not the Professor’s friend 😂 Great arguments. Was hoping to hear more about HI violation of state sovereignty and political integrity (and relatedly the lack of consent of the US intervention in Syria for ISIS under Obama administration) but overall great debate!
