I’ll never forget the Team India music because my brother and I spent So. Long. playing against them. They had incredible stamina and took forever to beat. I’ve forgotten some of the others but their theme returns to my brain uninvited when I’m minding my own business being an adult. Thanks for sharing this.

Yeah their defense stats were through the roof. Especially Swami, if he turned up in the roster you were in for a hard day
Especially SWAMI, damn, even he can't block the attack the stamina only reduce maximum at 2 (if you use the super throw), the easiest opponent was UK and China, the reason is they have a lot of lifebar, but when Randy threw the ball with the special attack their stamina can reduce maximum 28 points
Am I the only one who was really good at the game and beat USSR and your mimic team every time on difficult mode?

Team Shadow Theme is so metal...I think that's where it all started for me.
I like playing the Team Shadow match at night with that music in the background

For me the most catchy music is Iceland theme. It saying you want to go stronger faster hit them. Absolutly one of the greats games. Simplicity and so much fun.
小学生１年か２年の時に、近所の良くしてくれたお兄さんに借りたゲームでした。今聴くと神曲ですね。当時何していても楽しかった時を少し思い出しました。イングランドとかソ連聴いて元気もらってます、ありがとうup主様。

チーム編成のテーマと試合開始ファンファーレがやっぱり燃えるね。後のシリーズにも使われてるけど、FC版アレンジがやっぱりベスト。

Do you know that the song used in bean ball is inspired by the first kunio-kun game, renegade. If you've played it before, you'll recognize the subways theme that plays in bean ball.

Holy hell, the team japan theme, the main part of it, i had been able to play a weird version of it on my guitar back in 10th grade, 30 now, but for all these years i could never figure out where i had heard that tue before, and it just clicked in my head not but five minutes ago, so glad i looked this up lol.

I heard that the England song is was inspired by the Beatles' songs "Get Back" and "A Hard Day's Night"
Actually some of the notes in that theme remind me of the chorus of "Can't Buy Me Love".
To me it sounds like a mashup of let’s spend the night together by the stones and a hard day’s night by the Beatles

Randy - that was my Guy. Yeah, Sam was more powerful, but Randy's Compressor was just soo much fun. I'd run to the back line, jump, turn forward, and make the Power Throw. Then it would go all across the court, hit some dude on the other side, and he would go Flying! If I did it right, I could "trap" the character on my side of the court, and just bean the heck out of him before he could get back.

I remember having a hard time throwing power shots on level 6, Kenya
+Matthew Rivera I just learned the trick to this: throw the ball immediately after you start running.
Matthew Rivera yeah Kenya was always the hardest to do it on for me too.
There's 2 white dots on the field of kenya. One is start, other is throw. use them well, never miss a power shot.
Yeah, it's like spinning in a sand field, the momentum of your sprint is not visualy the same but the timing is.
One strategy I use is to start running and throw it as I see my character speeds up, almost never miss a powee shot
I think the stage 3 theme (India) is funny, along with some names of the players on that team!
I would love to hear a metal band do the USSR theme. I forgot how amazing it was.

くにおくんシリーズはコミカルながらも熱血、スポ根をテーマにしてる辺りキャプテン翼とも相通ずるものがありますね。vs戦のテーマとか昔の翼のアニメでかかってても違和感無さそうだもん。
