I was wondering if I could scan by rotating the small object on a lazy susan OR had to rotate the phone itself (accellerometers) around the small object to get the scan. Didn't want to go buy a lazy susan if it wasn't going to work. Although I do have lots of spice jars in my cupboards... 🤔

3d print a holder with a crank/motor that slowly rotates it for you :O
Or just 3D print a 3D printer so you can 3D print 3D printers to print 3D! :)

For sure! It really easy to use, and you can get some great results in just a few tries!
You should scan and print each consecutive model to see how much it would degrade after many copies.

there might be an easier way, but you could just save the file to a cloud service like google drive to access it anywhere

Nice job! Is it scalable? For example if you want to make the cat 1” taller than the original.
Sure is, but you would make that adjustment in Meshmixer or Blender!

Yes you can! You should be able to export an OBJ and directly import it from there!

You can scale it to whatever size you want!
Can you merge two model scans together? Could you add wings to this cat if you wanted to from another scan?

scandypro for items such as a cup where there are inner wholes ?
It should definitely capture the outer surface, but you may need to go back and add a void for the inner hole.
What file type do you import into mesh mixer?
I believe this was an STL, but an OBJ works as well!
