You know what, I got to be real. I've listened to Em, rocked with his first albums, and kind of tapered off. Looking back I thought I knew Em's works and kind of legit slept on it. Looked and remembered other artists and kind of made my own assumptions on what I thought was better.
Then I realize, digging deep into the old tracks and singles between albums, learning the context... The shit is not just dope, but also surgical. Learning the context and discovering the lesser known shit is kind of eye opening. It doesn't make me fanboy, or excuse toxic stanbase (not overall, but the crazies *cough* ex-stan man-bun and budden, and internet warriors); but it gives me a new appreciation.
Coach, don't listen to people giving you shit if you cover 'too many' Em songs. The choices and adding the points behind it are what make the vid and reaction interesting. Like Charlemagne, people going to hate anyways. NoLifeGang and SFJnation. You guys are two of the best reaction channels, much respect.

Thats literally most people that have that same mindset.... They say eminem was amazing his first 3 albums but is "trash" now but I can almost guarantee they have heard less than 5% of his music from albums 4-9 when saying that. Some people enjoy dumb down music though. Scared of any rhyme thats more than one syllable. Also eminem is just the type of artist where you catch more and more the more you listen to a song and is literally impossible to fully grasp a song/lines off of 1 listen which a lot of people that call it bad can't get past the first listen.. i've literally heard people say "Wow when I first heard this song I thought it was fucking trash but now i'm on my 8th listen and can't stop. it's so fire"..... It all really boils down to people hearing a song but not actually listening and understanding the song.
Can you believe that some people don't like eminem because they say he "over raps" I've literally heard so many people say that about him. In case you don't know what that is... It basically means he's too good at rapping that people are turned off by it. He rhymes too much/uses too many syllables and uses too much wordplay and double/triple entendres that it becomes a headache and they don't want to hear it.
