@@heiner_kruse I initially thought this was a cheeky answer, but actually remembered my ALM Busy Circuits Squid Salample can record and playback CV. Not something I've tried, but maybe something to experiment with in the future.
Can I use drum sounds from mc 101 sp404mk2 cycles and emx electribe even though my electribe buttons are worn out ? I'm not familiar with this way of music making
I've had a look at the manual (available on the Behringer website) and it looks like you can set MIDI channel independantly for USB & MIDI Out. Therefore, I think you might be able to use it to sequence two of these devices on seperate MIDI channels, however it's unclear how you do this so would need some playing about. The MC101 / SP404mk2 / Cycles & Electribe will be compatible, but you may only be able to sequence one at a time (unless I'm right about USB & MIDI)... The other thing you'd need to consider before purchasing is power and a case as Eurorack modules need these too.
I would have thought so - as long as the ROMpler supports Midi In then you should be able to connect the two up together on the same Midi channel. Which ROMpler are you thinking of?
@@tylergates4075 Well the HR16 is midi compatible, so I would expect the Midi Out on the RS-9 would be able to control that. We'll have to wait to get our hands on these modules to be sure. I'm pretty confident you'd be good though.
@3dims yes ive sequenced it using other hardware thats no issue. My concern is if the rs9 is able to sequence many voices from one device and that it's not solely a sequencer for single units via CV .
@@tylergates4075we can only speculate at the moment as there’s no formal documentation to refer to, but the midi out and being able to sequence 12 channels indicates to me you’ll be onto a winner.
@@3dims This much Eurorack space, for 1 cv in is kinda bad. this would work just as well as an external unit. haha HP is expensive stuff! It does look fun
Agree it's a lot of HP. For me, I'm pretty sure I'll put in a small case on it's own as I will want to be able to use it in various scenarios and not exclusively in my eurorack case. As for the CV inputs, I guess it would be useful to be able to modulate some of the features... I'll see if this is a deal breaker when I finally get my mits on one.
Being a trigger sequencer, I think it looks good. There isn't a lot to send CV to it for, I mean other than tempo. I'm more concerned about having the outputs and solid sync functions.
damn I was just thinking a drum sequencer that would work in my rackmount setup would kick ass, crazy timing
Yeah man. I think it’s a really good move by Behringer.
I know sampling is not something that not all Eurorack enthusiasts appreciate but this module should have that.
As a sequencer I’d expect this module to team well with something like the Squid Salample from ALM Busy Circuits. That’s kinda the beauty of modular.
How the heck do you change the tone knobs for each drum? I see no button or knob!
It’s a trigger sequencer, so you’d make tone changes elsewhere. Have a look at how Mutable Instruments Grids works as it’s a similar principle.
Buy a knob recorder

Ok usb-C or usb-B ?? other video USB-C connect !?
USB C

@@3dims thanks
Great early info!!!!
Thanks mate, thought it was well worth sharing as there didn’t seem to be much info on RUclips.
Can this be used as a sequencer for a ROMpler? Would like to use this for a drum machine that has no sequencer

Alexis Hr16

Can you use it with synths too?
Technically yes, but you probably wouldn’t want to because the notes would all be too short.
It's 46 HP
Nice one. Thanks for confirming.
Nope. It´s 52hp
@@walkeracid Yeah. There was a bit of confusion early on with the size. It's a big old module though.
i dont know what any of those words mean but i support you
Brilliant! Thanks for the support :)
One cv in is a fail for Eurorack.
You reckon? Don’t see this as much of an issue for a trigger sequencer.
