Ryan, not sure if you’re already doing it but it would be really interesting to see you doing something like Hyrox gym competitions that have a large running component. Loving the content from the UK.
Three words...."jacked....tanned....& functional" Lesson complete 💪. We'd love to see how you'd transition to the CrossFit arena 🙏 (maybe for your next athletic reinvention?). Keep on inspiring!
@@dpcater Maybe so...maybe so. But you have to admit....no one....absolutely no one saw his current state as being possible....particularly during the height of his distance running days.
That's typical form for heavy weights. Minimal spinal flexion almost no rounding of the lower back. It's not perfect form, but not likely to be dangerous.
Super interesting.. I wrote to Stephen Seiler just a couple of days ago on a theory on why all strongmen have such big hearts... They do long time low heart beat training and they do extremely high blood pressure training = lifting very heavy weights.. It seems to perhaps be one of the reasons why rowers have stringers hearts than other endurance athletes.. they do super high blood pressure exercises. Just a theory but I imagine it could be right and that your "deadlift mile" could actually be really good training. But perhaps to 10x 400lbs and then run a mile really slow and then to 10x400lbs and so on...
Great work. I’m not much of a runner, did a half marathon last year but that’s the most I’ve ever done. It was really slow 😂. I do love to lift, though. Have you thought about trying to switch grip rather than strap up each time? If you’re ever trying to do this for a competition or something rather than just for fun it might save you 5-10 seconds.
This is an awful idea. Deadlifting is a full body move and is taxing on your entire system. Coupling that with exhausting your ability to recuperate between lifts in highly dangerous and puts you at a much higher risk of serious energy. Anyone watching, PLEASE DO NOT RECREATE THIS.
It is inspiring to see his transformation from his marathon days. Good to see Ryan is continuing to mix in some running with his gained muscle mass.
Still can’t get used to how jacked Ryan Hall is now. Unbelievable transformation from 2:04:58 Ryan.
Me too, on my opinion this guy is going to the wrong direction! What a shame!
@@fernandog.aguirre2791 Where's the shame in someone INTENTIONALLY getting bigger and stronger?? Wtf are you talking about?? Lmao 🤪🤦♂️
With his running background and current strength would likely do very well on things like Spartan races
Love the content Ryan. So inspiring! Also just wanted to throw an idea/challenge out there for you to think about...
One word: Ironman
Dang. Great time!
Wow,
Ryan you look soo different from when you ran Boston a few years ago with Meb.

Back development is looking good.
absolute raw power. waw

He gets my "Aretha Franklin.....respect" 🙏
Most amazing body transformation EVER!! Way to go Ryan! Went from busting treadmills to bending bars 💪🏽.
Ryan Tren Hall
I mean that deadlift form, really looks like you did it with your back, I'd be worried about long term effects of that posture.

Was looking at the first lift, last one is pretty bad
I really wanna do this
4 Rounds for Time:
1 Deadlift (405)
Run 400 Meters
CrossFit 🤘🏼
You really should learn how to do a deadlift before you hurt yourself, or before someone else hurts themselves copying your form.
his form isn't that bad. he's clearly pulling near maximum and starting with higher hips probably to save some energy in his legs.
@@richyeilding4490 he’s rolling the weight, his form, at the beginning at least, is horrible.
I noticed the problem on the first lift. Less weight. Better form. Avoid injury. Lift longer.
Should try a hyrox competition

how close are you to doing it now? you can do it, even if it takes another year to complete
Badass.

Was that Bob Babbitt at the end
when I was in my 20's I would do twice the amount of weight and three times the distance... all while hungover and on 0.5 hours of sleep
👍💯👊
Very Crossfit workout, which is cool!
Horrible lower back rounding scared cat form warning
Lifting too heavy. Back rounding, Not going to full extension. Lose the straps, go lighter, you'll last longer.
Was that Babbitt?
Is it just me or does Ryan have a small head and a big upper body now?

You still beat me by 3 minutes, and I didn't deadlift during my mile.
rather watch the beer mile..
