I work in chemistry lab for Pharma entities. My shift are like playing with chemical, calculation, sophisticated machine, testing and finally either success or error. How ever the chance of error is at every step of work. During shift no food water are allowed inside the lab, also washroom is 10 min procedure to get in or out from lab. Results in no food no water for a long hours also no washroom for long hours when the work get overload. Our organization facilitates Vehicle for mass of people after 2 hrs of regular shift. The fact is that the bus always full with my departmental colleagues. No other dept stays in office for that much time. Tell me one thing is 12 hrs per day can work for me. Or else it's like Hitler's concentration camp

Indian youth can work 70hrs a week as majority are hard working anyways. But will company pay for its health repercussions. I worked 14-16hrs during COVID years without any OT, as 70% of team was fired and I wanted to retain my job. After 2.5hrs of such rigorous work, I had health issues. If a kid who joins IT industry and works 12hrs a week for a decade or more, I am sure they will develop heart and high BP issues by 40 and dead by 50 or 60.
Intellectual jobs and Physical Labour are two different things my friend. Try taking a job in Software Engineering, Creative Marketing, Finance or Data Science. The amount of mental work you need to do here puts excessive pressure on one's health as humans have not evolved to do such jobs all day. Decision Fatigue is high as well.

I work as accountant in jewelry shop and my average working hours is 11:15 to 11:29 hrs a day that is around 78.00 hrs in a week and get salary of 18000 basic in India we get only this🙂

More than 45 hrs, should be paid as overtime means 1.5x basic salary. We would prefer work life balance and not only earning and die at any time. Plus if they want to compare with abroad then also see other benefits and also the life pressure they are having because of which there is huge decline in population and people. Eg in singapore we foreigners earn more but locals earn less when compared to foreigners and work and money pressure what they have with high inflation is much more than us.

As per ILO France working hours of France is 35 hours a week and productivity of $58 and India has 48hours a week but the productivity is $8 why? Because there is technological lag and lack of human capital formation not just by increasing no of working hours no one can guarantee better productivity i think reputated ceo's must read facts and then try to educate people. And also foreign countries are highly mechanised as per technological advancements if it is done here the population that is highly engaged in manufacturing, services sector will be jobless

Indian youth are already working 11 to 12 hours a day, it's no secret, every corporate employee has to work 3-4 hours extra than their normal, without any extra pay , by making it officially 12 hours the average employees have to work for around 15 to 16 hours, everything is fair and square as long as compensation is paid. I'm working around 12 hours daily and it's just too much. There's just no time to hang out with friends or family. No time to relax. 8 hrs daily should be maximum.
I guess when its about employees' welfare and better work culture, not even the best company think outside box. Think outside box only for profit making no matter even if it is exploitation.
The real problem is Skilful Workforce. Bharat is lacking alot in this.
That too because of Politics.
A different thought..we are all thinking private company and blue collar labor job. But think about Sarkari babu starting from the municipality. They should at least give 8 hours of productivity. To get a mutation certificate we still need almost 6 months. It is not about hours but productivity definitely need to improve
Company run in shift 24 hrs× 7 company have to hire person in 3 shift and 5 for working change there weekly off and and two day relaxation
Then narayanmurthy should take care of everything of a person like da +HRA+ta

Work & life must be balanced. 70 hrs should be optional with extra pay.... jiban hai machine ya robot nahi ...
Are they ready to provide an increased salary since the work hour is stretched

He ends up watching reels, following cricket matches, taking naps, shedding a few tears, making phone calls to friends, and even calling his grandma to complain about how his mom is being a little too persistent with the studying. He eagerly awaits the last day of exams (akin to how employees anticipate the weekend), looking forward to relaxation, even though during the entire exam period, relaxation seemed to be his primary occupation.
Let's approach this situation with empathy and understanding, without offending anyone's feelings.
Not youth, old should work, youth have life to experience,explore and learn.
Why companies having trouble with moonlighting, should workers not be able to do anything else after doing their tasks? Is work is for social growth or for exhausting the human energy..
14 hours a day is fine. Many people in the West work two jobs a day. Some people are extremely motivated and ready to pay a price. But it should be equally financially compensated. Its should also be a choice

why only private employees are asked to work for 70 hr/week, can the CEOs put an request to government officials to consider to work for 70 hrs/week, lot of work is going on at snail pace in government offices, there are so many cases pending in the court.
This is A running process....The Labours...belongings to U.P And Bihar.....in Maharashtra Are Working 12 hours daily....without Taking a rest.....
