I have a Concert, Tenor and Baritone Uke.
What I see from watching Ukulele videos is that the Soprano Uke is the most Traditional, The concert is Special; it has a sound a little less traditional but is very unique and a fair replacement for traditional sound perhaps:
the Tenor is for playing all types of music, that is why you see the modern day pros all playing Tenor, The Baritone Uke is for getting a more Guitar like sound as well as playing all types of music, but it doesn't sound very traditional for Hawaiian styles of music.
I play Tenor because it has the most pronounced sound for playing live and plenty of room on the fretboard for improvisation.

What an excellent review! I LOVE Makala and will be completing "the family" in two days when I receive my 4th, the Makala soprano.

Thank You, this is what i was looking for. Got the MK-S first for portability and realy like the sound. Will get the tenor next for more space on fretboard.

I already told my grandpa that I wanted a concert but I'm worried it's gonna be too big. Will it? I'm 11 and my hands are probably normal size for my age

I want it to be 1. Ok with my hands
      But also
      2. For it to not look really awkward while I'm playing if it's too big

Very nice video! I already have a beginner soprano ukulele and I can play it without a problem so should I buy a better soprano uke or a concert uke?

I started on a saprano, and Christmas is coming up so I was hoping to get a concert and a tenor, but is there a huge difference? I don't want to end up getting two of the same for no reason
    does anyone have both?

I got a tenor as a Christmas gift and I've never played. Is tenor for beginners?
