Sad fact :Rape is taken less seriously when it comes to men

    • @carultch
      @carultch 5 лет назад +435

Ironically, it should be taken MORE SERIOUSLY, because men don't have a legal way to opt-out of unwanted parenthood like women do. Men end up in a situation of "victim must pay rapist" because of child support laws, which is slavery.

skkksks To be fair, if a man is raped he is forced to pay a liar and rapist for 18 years, if he comes out he will be made fun of, and could possibly lose his self confidence and become suicidal. Also judges and prosecutors will most likely believe in a woman over a man any day.
While a women who is raped could abort the baby, gets comfort, and if she comes out the people on the internet will defend her without a scrap of evidence

    “You’re a man. Toughen up.”
    “Why didn’t you fight back?”
    “Men don’t cry.”
This is why men don’t speak up. Victim blaming using toxic masculinity. Kill it with fire, tell men it’s okay not to be okay. Tell men it’s okay to cry, the talk about their feelings, problems, etc.
If we do that, a lot less men would commit suicide, a lot fewer rapists would get away with their crimes, and a lot more male victims would have a better quality of life.

It was in the eighth grade throughout the whole year, he told me if i told anyone he would kill me and my family, so when I told someone I called my mom screaming and crying that he’s coming for me and he’s gonna kill me, I remember the immense pain I had felt! I learned to accept what happened to me and to speak out against this incident that so few talk about.

Either u hv to keep that son completely on guard or raise him as a combat fighter so that no one shall assault him sexually. Unfortunately I was given both the guards, I was kept on guard and was given training of how to operate guns and daggers. Never to be afraid of any thing. Once a guy bullied me when I was 8-10 yrs old, i told my father and my father beat him to his shit, broke his arm and shoulder for touching me , that guy is still afraid of me and never raise his eyes infront of me , now i am 40 and that guy is 50 .

There used to be signs at denny's saying no mexicans allowed which included mexican americans, and I dont believe it ever said no white men allowed. That sign was put up by white men btw so go pick on someone your own size carlos, because you seem quite comfortable with people named carlos always being in the back of the white main actors mowing the lawn and not knowing a word of english. As a female survivor, it always bothered me how all the help-organisations for survivors are almost exclusively for girls or women. Boys are sometimes not even allowed in them. Perhaps that makes a little sense if the girls have been raped by a man/boy and need a safe space, but I would have felt less shitty about myself, had I heard more stories of all different kinds of people who made similar experiences to mine. I hate that femininity is often equated with victimhood.

I made sure he told a teacher about this and he did get removed from the house he was staying in with his mother. It breaks my heart that this is how boys and men who are raped are treated.

Even though I'm late, here is My story:
As a boy in America, I've been conditioned to believe that "boys don't cry" or that I should "man up". I stood firm by that but one time on my birthday something happened. The day started off normal (cake, bday song, etc) but then, at the end of the day, it was time for everybody to leave (my bday party was at my house). Now keep in mind that at the time, I was nine. It was just me, my mom, my uncle Jerry, and my little sister. After the party, we didn't really have much so my mom was going to do some quick shopping. She left me, my little sister, and my uncle there alone. My uncle was very trusted, and was like a father figure to me almost. my little sister (who was a baby btw) was crying, so I put her to sleep. By then I was getting tired too, so I just started playing my game. That's when my uncle came in my room and closed the door. I didn't think anything of it because I played music while I played so I just thought it was so it wouldn't wake my sister. He started playing my game with me (Lego marvel superheros) and it was fun. After about 5 minutes, he started brushing up against me and I was feeling uncomfortable. He got up, and closed my blinds. Then he said "aren't you bored of playing these kitty games?" And I just said that I liked the Lego videogames. He said "why don't we play the games adults play". At that point, I was getting VERY nervous (because I was aware of what rape was and what manipulation was). I said "naw I'm fine" and then he grabbed my hand and placed it in his pants and made me feel his junk through his pants. At that point, I was pulling away because I knew what was happening. He told me, in his exact words "don't be a b!∆ch! Your a big man now!" I had rarely ever heard him cuss so I was really scared. He pulled down his pants, grabbed my head with both hands and raped me. It felt like it lasted forever. I was just crying and crying, but nothing. After, he gave me mouthwash and said "see, that wasn't so hard?" I just cried but I tried not to. My mom came home when I had the mouthwash and saw I was holding back tears. She asked what happened, and as I was about to speak, I choked, and my uncle gave me a smile that said "keep quiet", while looking right at me. Being scared, I said I was crying because I lost in my game. my uncle had his stuff and left, but before he did, he said "next time when we play the game, let's try something different". I was so scared, and having every male figure in my life saying that men don't cry, and that"men shouldn't be scared" made me silent. A few weeks later, we had another family get together. I begged my mom to let me stay home but she said no (since I was 9) At this family get together, it was the same with my uncle. But that time, he pulled down my basketball shorts, and proceeded to analy rape me. This pattern continued but then, he just started coming over our house, and said it was a "family check in". He came over just about a few times every other week. And every time, I was used as his "tool of satisfaction". I was so scared. I felt like if I said something, I would be told to "man up". So one time I had an idea to indirectly call for help. I would ask my mom to get cameras. Since I assumed people wouldn't believe me, I just thought "I should just get the cameras now". My mom was confused, but she still bought cameras anyway I think she knew that something about me was just... Off. she said I always looked as if I was about to just drop to floor. A few weeks pass of my uncle taking advantage of me, being a scared nine year old boy. and ever single time I just was thinking"this is it" "this is my life" "no end, no resolve" "what can I do to physically stop a grown man?" Those were just *_some_* of my constant thoughts. And at one point I just break out and tell my mom to check the cameras( I was starting to get extreme suicidal thoughts). She was horrified. She saw everything that happened and she called my dad first(even though he wasn't really in my life and my mom only had his number for child support I guess) and he was furious and disgusted. And sadly, Everytime my uncle tortured me with this cycle of rape, I was just frozen whenever it would happen. I was screaming on the inside. But nobody heard. I was broken. My mom took me to the police station and he is now serving 22 years to life. and since I went to my mom right after it happened, they had all the evidence they needed (dna, camera footage, etc) I'm sorry for this story being so long. But to all victims, male or female just remember this as I leave you with a parting message, these rapists, and predators all rely on your fear. They trust that fear will keep you shut, and keep them safe. So please, if you see this PLEASE just speak up. I just needed to get that off my chest. I am still recovering as I am 13 now.💔

It’s sad that when we hear the word ‘rape’ it’s almost always interpreted as “the woman is the victim and the man is guilty”. Everyone has their own weaknesses, regardless of their gender, sex, age, etc. At the end of the day, we’re all living beings with emotions

Whether the victim is a man or a woman, they deserve justice. But the sad thing is that social justice treats male victims and male rape as a joke, there was a man who was laughed at because he said he was raped. That's not right, rape is serious and such a horrible thing that nobody should endure

Male rape won’t be looked at seriously by society for some time sadly. I’ve never went through it, but I feel horrible for those who have been raped (No matter what gender). I think this is because the older generations gave off the idea that men will ALWAYS enjoy sex no matter what, and young boys are lucky to be raped.
The saddest part is, they will never get justice for what happened to them. Most don’t believe them or just don’t care enough, but when the female rapist is arrested she’ll only get about 2-3 years (compared to a man’s 10-20 sentence for the SAME crime). Both are horrible crimes, both should receive the same sentence.
Men are horribly underprivileged in court.

I remember when I went to the home of a church goer he offered me a drink.I said yes while watching T.V. I suddenly decided to look back and at that very moment I saw a pill resolve in the clear glass of Sprite.I left immediately.
Then I recall a few years back at church I saw a young guy sitting next to this 30 something year old guy with a hardened look on his face, this guy was staring at the younger one's behind very hard for a very long time.So I gather it's not safe for men anymore either.I believe because of homosexuality male on male rape is rising.
When you get raped a lot of shame comes with it even if it's not your fault I think it's because you are being forced to commit a sexual act which is somewhat a taboo still today (yet everyone forgets children come from unions and that is sacred and normal) and also because your right for consent is hijacked that is humiliating in itself. The element of surprise is also giving you a very strong psychological impact, element of surprise you did not expect someone would have such disregard for your rights. All these things are hard hitting at once, but they all have one thing in common IT'S ALL PSYCHOLOGICAL. Before the rapist attacks he made a decision to do it, then he acted it out. He decided to overpower, do with you what he pleased for a payoff. The payoff is that you will feel so insignificant compared to him that you will never rise up again or feel respectable anymore. The power to break free from such a massive physiological assault is understanding their intent. For one moment or for many nights they overpower your body, but your mind is still free. When a blind person accepts their condition, they resort to developing their hearing to compensate. So when you realize they mean it to break you permanently. You decide it was one moment only. I couldn't stop them they were too physically strong. My body is injured. But I can still break free. Focusing on their cruelty is the only way in my opinion to overcome. Fight for your dignity again realize it really isn't YOUR FAULT.They overpowered you that does not mean you are evil, they are the evil selfish ones or maybe even mentally ill.
Many of them are born psychos some have been raped themselves and are acting out unresolved issues, others anti-social others had brain injuries that causes them not to have proper empathy so they are not well. Yes, they took advantage, yes it hurts like you can't believe, but they are not normal. Fight to get your normal back. It's all in your heart and head. Find good support. Defy them, their intention to destroy the rest of your life they can't do that, only you can let them. SAY YES YOU ARE STRONGER PHYSICALLY, BUT I AM STRONGER EMOTIONALLY PSYCHOLOGICALY I HAVE TRUE DIGNITY.Show them get a good life!
When you speak out shame starts to diminish with good supporters. The more this is exposed the better. Change will happen.

I've been laughed at and heard EVERY rape cliche when I talk about my rapes and sexual assaults. I'll never forget the day after I was drugged then raped, I told my cousin and a few of his friends what happened, and got laughed at. When I got black out drunk -- ending up in the hospital -- I woke up to cops wanting to interview me over what happened because I must've been talking about it to a nurse or something, but just one glance at them I knew they were annoyed so I just sat there till they left. Then when I landed myself in a psycheward for trying to kill myself for the 3rd time a few months after the 2nd time I was raped, I had a therapist, infront of like 15 people, say I'll never get off meds or not need therapy because "my rape traumas are so extensive." Reported her to the psychiatrist, and they kept me in for another 2 weeks. I was cornered in the school bathroom during middle school, and was groped by 2 losers saying I'm the fag. I reported it to the school, and they brushed it under the rug. When I was 17 at a Halloween party, someone who never missed the opportunity to call me fag, said he was going to sexually assault me while he thought I was asleep in front of like 10 people. But, I of course, was the bad guy because I didn't see the humor in the "joke" and was a buzzkill. But turns out, he's gay. The 2nd time I was raped, I was held against my will, but at least I was able to say no. Didn't even bother trying to report it, because it happened in Provo, Utah and I didn't even know who he was. I told my friends, and one of them told me " I was just regretting sleeping with someone because guys can't be raped." Another time at a club, I was being cornered and groped screaming for him to stop and to move, then got glared at because I was ruining people's buzz. Only reason I even went, was because I got pestered all day because I was depressed and needed "to have fun." I still think I'm cursed. Because so much evil shit has happened to me. But fact of the matter is, when you're male, whether straight or gay and have been raped or sexually assaulted, majority of people either don't believe you, laugh at you, ridicule you, etc, and wonder why rape and sexual assaults are so under reported. As if there isn't enough shame over being forced to have sex with someone, unwanted sexual touching, and surviving a crime, you then have to deal with the stigma.

I looked shit up online, called hotlines for help. Some of them laughed, some said I was lying, some just hang up. I found ONE that actually took it seriously, and it turns out there was nothing that could be done legally as she'd just accuse me of penetrating her and the courts'd gobble it up. My bruises and the damage to my already ruined eye could be used as evidence for her "defending herself against me" so I was advised to not do anything about it, else I end up falsely convicted.
I did nothing about it and she did it to two more men that I'm aware of.

Dude. Just checked some comments sections of women who experienced sexual assault, and half of the comments say that they are lying and how they accuse man of rape.. In this case, where this guy got sexually abused, NO ONE says that he is lying or how he needs to have evidence in order to prove his story, while when a woman tells her story she needs to have evidence or otherwise she is lying.. Anyways, this guy is so brave for speaking up, because rape is taken less seriously when it comes to men. In my opinion, NO ONE should ever deny sexual assault. Unfortuenly, there are girls out there who falsely accuse man of rape, and I find this weird and disgusting. I also see that women are more open-minded when it comes tot his. As i said I didn't saw 1 comment saying that this guy is not telling the truth, while in other comments sections there are LOTS of men that deny rape. A lot of man also insult woman by telling them they are sluts and stuff. Just respect each other dude.. When a guy says how a woman belongs in the kitchen all man are agreeing (mostly joking but still), and if a girl said something like "man should go to work all day" or something like this, everyone would call her a feminist. There are a lot of problems in this world, sexism, man denying rape and blaming the victim, racism, girls who falsely accuse man of raping and also man could face more time in prison while woman can get away easier.

Year ago a kid, 6 years old, was raped by another male, who was around 17-18 at that time. This is small area, two villages were everyone knew one another. This didn't occure in my village it happened in another one. Basically it was around 8-9 pm when the kid was going back to his house from his grandma's place, house next to the house, at that moment rapist was walking by. He was drunk. He was known as a problematic kid ever since he was born. He's couple of years older than me. I went to the same school as he did. He would always bully this one kid from my class, kid would fight back but no use, sometimes principal and other stuff would get involved, they would call their parents but no use. One time that rapist threw a big rock at that kid's mom. Poor woman left home crying. We would always be aware of him. Back to the story he called that little kid to come over to his house. And kid did. He led him to his bedroom and you know what happened next, he raped him. Kid was in shock, he didn't know what happened to him. The worst part is that the rapist whole family was downstairs, they heard the noise, they knew what was happening but they didn't do anything. Police came arrested him. Over 50 doctors were doing check-ups on that kid. Kid's family moved into the city. Kid had a brother that is my age. We went to the school together. All of us were in pure shock. Rapist family didn't even try to apologise, his family stayed in the village while their rapist son was moved to bugger city into a prison. He was there for only 6 months then he was set free. His grandpa lives in that city so he's staying at his house.
One day i get a call from my cousin saying that some guy is following her for a week. Later that day she sent me a pic, it's the rapist, i told her what he did and to be careful of him, told her to tell her other friends to also be aware.
Her parents would follow her to her school even tho it was 5 minutes away. Parents complained about him following other kids. I don't know what happened to him. I wish i never see him again, and i wish that that doesn't happen to anyone, male or female. I'm scared of him, he knew me, one time he wanted to be like real close friend to be but i have always kept my distance because my gut was telling me to.
Later that year my mom told me that rapist needed to drink pills and was going to the therapist from the young age, but his family didn't want to spend money on him so they stopped buying him needed pills.
I'm glad that i trusted my gut. I'm mad at his family because they didn't reacted. And I'm sorry for that little kid who had to endure that from a such an early age, I'm sorry to anyone who had to endure this. I hope you get through this.
