Lol it's funny how he's always pointing out Chanyeol in every MV🤣 the red haired rapper in monster, the pink haired deep voiced rapper in kokobop and the shirtless rapper in loveshot are all the same person!! It's Chanyeol. He's the main rapper in the group but he's a great vocalist, producer, composer, lyricist, actor, model and a musician too! Exo has 9 members. Currently, 4 of the members are in military. But baekhyun and chanyeol (rapper) are still in their comeback which will be on June 7. They are not just vocal Kings, they are great dancers too, you can watch their dance practices. And their live performances are much much better than their MVs.

To understand the story in EXO's "Ko Ko Bop" MV, you have to keep in mind that the story in "Ko Ko Bop" is connected to the story in their "Lucky One." MV. "Ko Ko Bop" may look trippy and crazy, but if you understand EXO's storyline you will see that everything was done for a specific reason.
There are 8 members in "Ko Ko Bop." This was the first MV where Lay, EXO's Chinese member, was unable to participate because of the political issues between the Korean and Chinese government at the time.
I can see how people might think that Ko Ko Bop is a drug they are all taking and that is why they are acting like they are high and kind of in a loopy drugged-like state. But to really understand what is happening in "Ko Ko Bop," you have to understand what is happening in their "Lucky One" MV. In "Lucky One" EXO has been captured by the Red Force who is doing experiments on EXO to try and figure out what makes them special, and to find a way to prevent them from finding and protecting the Tree of Life, etc. The members all use their powers to escape from the government facility and this is where theories say that the story in "Ko Ko Bop" picks up right after they have escaped in "Lucky One". The blue Ko Ko Bop drink that Suho mixes and the members drink, and the pills or wafers you see them eating, is supposed to be an elixir that is helping the members to detox from the drugs the Red Force gave them when they were being held against their will in the "Lucky One" MV.
The Red Force is represented by red light and red objects. Any time you see red that has something to do with the Red Force. Blue is thought to represent EXO. When you see purple these are instances where the line between the Red Force and EXO is blurred and the two sides are fighting for control, etc. -- red and blue mixed together makes purple.
If you want to see the choreography better you are going to have to watch a comeback stage performance of "Ko Ko Bop." According to SM Entertainment the story in "Ko Ko Bop" also shows the members soon after they have arrived on Earth and they are all experimenting with their powers.
So in "Ko Ko Bop" you see Kai with the power of teleportation using his power to levitate and Suho with the power to control water jumps into the water and disappears, and later appears inside the washing machine, etc. You see Chen with the power of thunder/lightning/electricity playing with his power and you see Baekhyun use his power of light as he throws the ball in the air and creates that huge flash of light and Chanyeol uses his power of fire to create the fireworks when he bounces the ball into the sky. D.O. accidentally uses his power of strength/force and splits open the ground when he falls down, etc. Xiumin has the power of snow/ice/frost so he is using his power to create a cloud to fill the glass. Sehun uses his power to control wind to make objects float in the air. And, the car looks like it's driving by itself because they are using their powers to control the car, etc. Their unbridled use of their powers and the haphazard way they play with their environment around them can be explained by the fact that they were drugged in "Lucky One" and while they are still dealing with the drugs in their system, in "Ko Ko Bop" their inhibitions are lowered and they use their powers without caution.
So part of their story goes: The members were trapped in the maze by the Red Force in "Overdose" and while they were trapped they were captured and moved to the government facility in "Lucky One" and after escaping in "Lucky One" we see them detoxing in "Ko Ko Bop."
However, since then, we now have "Obsession's" part of the story where we have discovered that the Red Force has created X-EXO clones. So some theories now think that instead of "Ko Ko Bop" being about the EXO members, it might be showing us X-EXO. If you remember in "Obsession," the members in the bright colors with the crazy hair and makeup were the X-EXO clones and the members in the all black outfits were EXO. So now some theories think that maybe because "Ko Ko Bop" is so colorful, that it is showing us X-EXO right after they were brought to life, and this is their first time out in the world. So X-EXO are playing with their powers and trying to figure out how they work, and they are getting acclimated to their environment, etc.
Everything EXO does has something to do with their storyline and their origin story including every single one of their MVs, most of their sub-unit MVs, solo MVs, live performances and choreography, as well as teaser videos and concert VCRs. Nothing is random or done without a specific purpose and meaning and it's our job as fans to piece it all together.
But, as you can see, to make it even more difficult to follow, nothing is in chronological order. We have to become detectives and analyze everything that EXO does in order to try and figure out where each pace fits within the larger storyline. However, at this point it's only theories and educated guesses. With every new release from EXO it adds another piece to their story. Sometimes that new piece helps to confirm what we thought was happening and other times it turns everything on its head and we realize that what we thought was happening wasn't even close. We can only hope that someday SM will finally explain everything, so we will know whether what we have been thinking all along is correct.

Exo are legends they definitely stand out coz they have mature, grown aspect to their musicality. All members are aces , can do everything. But u won't find vocals like exo in whole k-pop. Vocal kings are they❤️
As with most of EXO's songs and MVs, the song and the story in the MV are two separate things. There are two messages that the story tells in the MV. Yes, the story in the MV is loosely based on the lyrics of the song, but the main point of the MV is mostly to tell another part of EXO's story.
Part of EXO's mission is they are constantly fighting against and battling the Red Force for control. The Red Force is thought to be here on Earth inflicting their evil agenda and corrupting humanity and causing all the bad things that are happening in the world such as war, hate and destruction of the environment, etc. While on their quest to locate and protect the Tree of Life, EXO is also tasked with trying to fix everything the Red Force has caused. And because EXO is trying to undo and prevent the Red Force from accomplishing their goals, the Red Force is also trying to take down EXO by capturing them, corrupting them and standing in their way, etc.
There are 8 members in "Love Shot." EXO's Chinese member, Lay, was not able to participate in this MV.
Kai is not only the main dancer of EXO, he is considered one of the top two dancers in the entire industry. (Taemin from SHINee -- who happens to be Kai's best friend since trainee days, who is also under SM Entertainment, and is a fellow member of SuperM -- is the other top dancer.) And that is not just a fan's opinion, but it's a title given to both Kai and Taemin by their peers and the industry in general. There is no one who is considered a better dancer than them. Kai is a classically trained dancer and he started out as a ballet dancer when he was very young, but he has studied almost all styles of dance, that is why he is so good.
There are two main rappers in EXO, so when you hear someone rapping that will be Chanyeol or Sehun almost every time. Chanyeol and Sehun are a rap duo, so you almost always will see them together. Chanyeol is the rapper you mentioned in all three of these MVs. He is the main rapper of the group -- he had red hair in "Monster," pink hair in "Ko Ko Bop" and he was the one without a shirt in "Love Shot."
In "Love Shot" I'm not sure why they first ended up at the gas/service station or the cinema/movie theater, but the story in this MV is all about how the Red Force is trying to corrupt and control them. For example, supposedly, most fans agree, that Xiumin may have been captured by the Red Force -- or maybe it's his X-EXO clone. If you notice, Xiumin is squaring off with a group of guys with guns, but a few seconds later we see someone with a mask and when the mask is removed you see that it's Xiumin, which seems to show that he may not be who we think he is. And when Chen is sitting in the theater watching the film, you see what fans agree is probably Suho, as the leader, trying to protect the members and prevent Chen from watching the film by covering his eyes, which is thought to probably be the Red Force trying to control EXO with whatever is playing on the screen, etc.
You also see references to the movie screen with Chen being projected on the screen in their MV for "Lucky One" and the scene where Suho is running through the forest in their MV for "For Life," etc. These instances seem to be showing times when the Red Force are using the videos to brainwash EXO and to keep them incapacitated so they don't try to fight back or escape, etc.
In "Love Shot" one theory is that the members are fighting to discover who has been corrupted by the Red Force and who may not be who they say they are, etc., which I see as a sort of continuation of the story in "Tempo." which is why you see them being very suspicious pointing their guns -- which are filled with alcohol -- at each other. (Get it? the song is called "Love Shot" so it has a double meaning: Love Shot like a gun and Love Shot like a shot of alcohol. :D)
The flowers have two purposes, one is they represent Love and EXO is collecting love, but also the flowers are a big part of EXO's storyline. There has been a flower theme that continues throughout all of EXO's MVs. The flowers are thought to be something that EXO is collecting and trying to get rid of to prevent the Red Force from being able to control people, etc. They often collect the flowers and then burn them, like you see in "Love Shot" and in EXO-CBX's "Hey Mama." Blue roses also have some sort of significance, but I am not sure what yet -- we see EXO with a blue rose in their concert performances of "Lightsaber" and we see Sehun with a blue rose in "Love Shot." Some of what happens in this story is explained by past MVs and other parts will hopefully, be explained as the story continues in future MVs.
Baekhyun is actually one of the main characters in EXO's storyline so he is often set apart or singled out in EXO's MVs. He is often the one that stands alone or is highlighted in the story. In their "Power" MV Baekhyun has been singled out and is sort of separated from the other members. Which seems to suggest maybe Baekhyun is the only member that hasn't been corrupted by the Red Force. So that is why in "Tempo" and in "Love Shot" we see Baekhyun standing on top of the building looking down on the rest of the members, almost as if he is observing them from another dimension or from another time period. Baekhyun is often the one who is going behind the sense to help EXO. For example, we see him disguised as a member of the police as he rescues the other members from the back of the police van in "Monster," and we see Baekhyun facing off with and confronting Xiumin in "Love Shot." :D
And now that we have discovered that the Red Force has created X-EXO, EXO's evil clones, as part of "Obsession's" story, I am also starting to think that maybe in "Love Shot" we aren't just seeing EXO. I think maybe when we see the members dressed in the bright colors -- for example, when they are in their suites -- this might be X-EXO and when we see the scenes were they are in black, this could be EXO. Because in "Obsession" we find out that the members in all black are EXO the good guys, and when we see them in the colorful outfits with the crazy hair and makeup that is their X-EXO alter ego clones.
This could also explain why Kai is dressed in a red suit. Although I am sure their stylists put him in red because he looks really good in it, I think SM chose it because it's another hidden message within the storyline. Usually, whenever we see red in EXO's MVs this has something to do with the Red Force, so for a long time I have been wondering why then would they put Kai in a red suit? However, now that we know about the X-EXO members, I am starting to think that when we see the members in their colorful suits and clothing in "Love Shot" this is actually the X-EXO members, so when we see Kai in red this is his alter ego clone, as well as the other members when we see them in suits, etc.
I also think maybe the members who are collecting all the flowers in "Love Shot" are really X-EXO, as part of some evil plot, etc. If you look at the members expressions and the outfits they are wearing in the scenes where you see them collecting the flowers, this reminds me a lot of what they looked like in "Ko Ko Bop." Since "Obsession," theories now think that what the "Ko Ko Bop" MV was showing us was X-EXO right after they were created as they are becoming acclimated to the world and learning how to use their powers, etc. Which would explain why everything in the "Ko Ko Bop" MV is so brightly colored as well.
But you should also know that no one really knows for sure what is happening in any of EXO's MVs. There are well known theories and storylines that are accepted within the fandom which we think might explain what is happening in each MV. And there are theories about how each MV is connected and where each falls within their larger storyline, but nothing is set in stone. As we have discovered with EXO's latest installment of their story with "Obsession," fan theories are constantly evolving and changing with every new piece of the puzzle and now it has completely changed what we thought we understood about almost everything in their previous MVs.

Everything EXO is involved in, and I literally mean almost everything, is connected in some way to their concept and storyline. EXO's MVs are kind of like a movie -- it's a movie that has been going on for the past 9 years -- since predebut -- and it has no sign of coming to an end any time soon. The one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them -- including their sub-sub-unit MVs and a majority of the member's solo MVs. And because Baekhyun and Kai are involved, even SuperM's storyline -- is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story and why they are on Earth, etc.
To truly understand EXO you need to understand that EXO debuted in 2012. "Mama" is EXO's debut song and MV and It is how EXO was introduced to the world and it explains the group's concept. So to really understand EXO you need to start from the very beginning and watch both of their "Mama" MVs. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet Exo and they came to Earth with superpowers to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one, if not all of them, using their powers.
Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary.The group's concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents. SM Entertainment, and its founder, Lee SooMan, has all of EXO's release dates and concepts planned out for years in advance, so it all has been designed to be another chapter in EXO's whole storyline.
Now you also need to know that In the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members.
However, since then, 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 of the members. Kris and Luhan left in 2014 and Tao left in 2015.) However, now, because they no longer have enough Chinese members they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produce almost all of their MVs and main songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members.

So each new MV or project from EXO tells another part of the story, and over the years we fans have started to create a timeline and idea of what we think each part of the story is telling us.
As the English lines in EXO's "Monster" say ... They're "Creeping, Creeping Creeping .... Creeping in your heart babe" "You can call me Monster (because) I'm creeping in your heart babe." "She got me goin' crazy." The song's called "Monster," so the words are about acting like a monster: "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... i'm sorry, you make me sooo craaaazzzy, you know you dooooo." LOL
So the floating watch and the car that is on fire in reverse, etc., I think was -- on top of being a metaphor in the story -- supposed to be the members using their superpowers. And the snake you see is supposed to mirror the beat of the song and theme of the MV. So, like a monster, the beat of the song kind of slithers like a snake as a metaphor for the way the guy slithers in and out of the relationship stealing warmth and affection from the girl, but in the end, leaving her cold and alone like a cold-blooded snake, etc.
However, the lyrics of the song really have very little to do with the story in the MV. "Monster" is one example where, if you want to know what the song is about, you should look up an English translation of the lyrics. Because the lyrics in the song tell a different story than the story in the MV. In the song the members are talking about a girl and they are telling the girl that "You can call me Monster" because I know I am bad for you and I will ruin you. I know that when we are over that I will have destroyed everything that is good about you, but I don't care because I want you so much that it doesn't matter to me. So ... "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... you can call me Monster ... because I'm creeping in your heart babe." The song is about possessing a girl and using her up and throwing her away in the end, but the MV really is about EXO's origin story and about the fact that they are aliens from Planet Exo who have come to Earth on a mission.
Also, the majority of the choreography for "Monster" has to do with the members using their powers, so when/if you watch the dance practice and/or watch a live performance, if you know what you are looking for, you will see that each move is done for a very specific reason.
The X they make to represent EXO is only the beginning of the story in their choreography. Every move of the choreography has been designed to be an extension of their story and it uses elements of their dance to represent several of the members using their powers. For example, D.O. has the power of super strength, so during his part in the song and choreography you will see that he waves his hands and the other members are pushed away from him or pulled toward him. When you see Suho in the middle of the group and they have a hold of his arms, he rotates his body around like swirling water because Suho has the power to control water. Xiumin has the power to control snow/ice/frost, so during one part of the choreography you will see that each of the members pause as if frozen as he moves in front of them. Sehun has the power to control wind, so during his parts, you will see the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm. And the part where they are sitting on the ground is supposed to represent a sundial -- EXO gets their power from the eclipse and their powers are affected by planetary and solar phenomenon, so the sundial is meant to represent the passing of time and their connection to the sun.
You should also make note that "Lotto" is a prequel to "Monster," so when you watch "Lotto," just keep in mind that what you saw happen in "Monster" is what is going to take place after, or in conjunction with, the events in "Lotto", and both MVs might make a little more sense to you then.
How "Monster" and "Lotto" tie into EXOs larger storyline is a little open ended, but I am pretty sure, that "Lotto" is the prequel to "Monster." So, if you pay attention, I think the story starts out in "Lotto" where the members have somehow infiltrated this big gambling ring and are maybe sort of undercover as they work to uncover a clue or something they need in order to accomplish their tasks here on Earth. I think the underground gambling establishment is run by a gang of bad guys who are probably members of the Red Force. "Lotto" is where we are introduced to a girl who is being held captive. And ultimately, I think what EXO are trying to do is rescue the girl from the Red Forces or the bad guys, but they are trying to do it without blowing their cover or being found out. So, that's why you see in "Lotto," and continued in "Monster," the members are fighting against the FBI or police because the police have come in to take down the gambling ring and rescue the girl, which is also what EXO are trying to do. However, the members of EXO don't want to be discovered, so they play along as if they are part of the bad guys. But in the end, as you see in "Monster," Baekhyun disguises himself as one of the police and helps the other members escape before they are taken to jail and/or captured by the Red Forces, etc.
If you want to follow EXO's storyline, some other scenes to take note of: You see Lay crouched in the middle of what looks like a pile of people -- I'm not sure whether these are the FBI agents that the members of EXO have taken down, or if these are members of the Red Force -- and I think he is checking to make sure they are OK and possibly trying to use his power of healing to fix things and heal the injured.
Because some theories believe that EXO are traveling between time periods and dimensions, I believe in "Monster" they also might be showing how some of the members are arriving on scene at different moments in the timeline of events that are taking place in the MV -- the members don't necessarily arrive at the location together. For instance, you see Kai standing on or near a giant pile of people as well, and he seems to be standing over them. Some have pointed to this as possibly showing evil X-EXO Kai -- Kai's alter ego clone that was created by the Red Forced and introduced in EXO's "Obsession" MV -- who has done something bad, but I think this may be showing good EXO Kai, who has just shown up at that moment, observing what has taken place. Because Kai has the power of teleportation he is the one that is in charge of bringing the members together and traveling between time and space, so I think he has shown up from a different time or place and is now trying to figure out what has happened and what needs to be done to fix things, etc.
Unfortunately, as you can see, what makes EXO's storyline even more difficult to follow is the fact that nothing is ever in chronological order and everything has a tendency to blend together. So you really have to pay close attention to every detail, to even begin to make connections.

Omg your commentary is Golden!😂 with Exo’s new comeback there’s one thing you need to know, their concept. Each mv is connected to it but not all of them are in order. They are aliens from Exoplanet that each has super powers that you can see through out some of their Mv’s like Kokobop. Some are in an alternative universe and they are always being hunted by The Red Force who’s is after the Tree of Life they are protecting. If you haven’t watch their debut song Mama and it will make a little more sense.
EXO are known as the vocal kings. There are three main vocalists: Chen (known for his wide range and crazy highnotes), you already know Baekhyun of course and D.O. aka Kyungsoo (known for his beautiful and smooth vocal tone and RnB style adlibs and runs).
