I used to live near Meltham Station and work in Maylands….wow that looks so different from when I used to cross there…those apartments are new and It looks so different. Greetings from the east coast…
Thanks for covering haven’t been to check it out in all seriousness no wonder why there’s accidents all the time because of idiots blocking the crossing there’s the box for a reason 😳🙄🤦🏾♀️🤷🏽♀️. The railway parade bridge will become signalised with a right hand turn lane. Grade separation would be too costly and complex not too mention would further delay the opening of the airport line and by extension Ellenbrook too
Either of those things can change, it's just so that any regulars of the area don't think they know the cycle and can get ready to go when they recognise a specific part of the cycle.
@@TransportofPerth yeah ive seen that before i had a feeling it was in the crah at clarkson, because a b series (set unknown) has no blocks so that couldve been the other one....
@@TransportofPerth Hi, me either come to think of it, in Perth anyway, but here's an extract from the PTA rules for rail traffic/Drivers: 2 . G E N E R A L Unless otherwise prohibited, Rail Traffic Whistles must be sounded when: • approaching road Level Crossings; • approaching pedestrian Level Crossings not fitted with automatic gates, Warning lights and bells; • necessary for safety; • people or animals are on or near the Track; • acknowledging Handsignals; and • otherwise required by the PTA Safeworking Rules and Procedures So it's a drivers responsibility. I guess this will get normalised at this crossiing when the admin catches up with the reality :)

Yeah, I live across the road, on the railway Parade side brings back memories when the boom gates were going down and now there is silence
You haven't put your sunset coast explorer bus video in the bus video playlist.
OK I guess I can do that.
I've never understood the caution signals modified what do they change the timings of the signals or the order in which the lights go green

@@TransportofPerth oh okay cool
Why does set 16 have white blocks under the front of the train, instead of the usual dark grey?
Oh wow I never noticed that before, no idea why!

Oh yeah probably that.
Great one.👍
I can’t wait for you to do Warnbro Station.
I've already filmed it, it was quite a good one!
They probably still whistle because the railway 'W" signs haven't been removed as yet? ...Drew
I haven't ever even seen one of those signs on the network, but I guess that's the reason.

always shut before school
and doesn't maylands already have an underpass to use?
What do you mean always shut before school? It has permanently closed forever now.
The underpass is for pedestrians only and it is 250 metres away from the crossing.
@@TransportofPerth when i went to maylands primary i was always late cause a train was coming but i graduated
Oh right.
