    Beautiful job renovating that field 👍. As a retired Groundskeeper of 32 yrs I appreciate this. Awesome machine you have. I had a Toro Groom master the last 1.5 years I worked. I loved doing Baseball and Softball Fields. Thank you for sharing.

      As a grounds keeper wouldn't you use a heavy roller on the grass edge to prevent pop ups into a players face.. It's actually standard practice..

      ⁠@@BAZZAROU812-you could use water and a heavy roller if the grass edge is flat. If it rises up to a berm it, the sod needs to be cut, topsoil beneath it lowered and sod replaced to form an even transition between grass outfield and dirt infield mix

    Half a million views in just a little bit! Sure it will hit the 10M mark. The best video ever made from start to finish. I could do that every day for the rest of my life. I miss those days when I had little ones and a county that neglected the fields. I didn’t have your equipment but gladly took full days off work to prep fields for a new season. Someday when my parents pass and I don’t need their money I’m gonna buy a ball field in their names.

    Hey Pete love the videos in general. Ive been on the lawncare landscaping industry for 13+ years. Just wanted to see at what point were you able to start doing athletic field maintenance and how did you accompany it with your other clientele?     Let's say I have a skid steer with a forestry mulcher and an ABI force with all the attachments in this video, how do I take it from being a forest area to a nice, finish grade like this? Cos I plan to turn the area into a landscape bed, do I have to get rid of all the tree roots after I use the mulcher?

    So does the ABI help you with getting the lines correct or are you just eyeballing it? It looks wonderful. I would love to see the results of the sprigging in the outfield if it takes!

      Most likely he's just eyeballing it. It's probably much easier to see where the Bermuda sod of the outfield is 𝘚𝘜𝘗𝘗𝘖𝘚𝘌𝘋 to stop, and the dirt is to start up close in person. Making it easy to simply run the blade on that already established line cutting that clean edge!

    I remember doin this years ago ( in the early '80's ) with a rake , hoe and a shovel ! Where tha heck was this thing at back then 😂

    I’m really impressed with the edging tool. Is that something you bought or did you build it. I have a stone driveway and I have been thinking of something like this to cut back the grass from encroaching into the stone.

      Those discs are used on disc ploughs for field plowing. I would imagine some company made that using a disc.
      I wished I knew where you could just buy those, I would like to make a 2 bottom plow for my garden tractor.

      @@msack6904 I found a company that make a similar tool they call it a curb dresser and pictures of it cutting the grass behind a concrete curb. I’m like you would like to get just the cutter and build my own. Maybe attach it to my front end loader on my tractor

    Hopefully the school redoes the bases entirely. I would lightly compact it, then add another 40 yards of dirt/brick, then reset the base paths and circle. Even this took the field to another level, but I dream of every field being MLB quality 😂 great work man 👌
