7 years later - outside of the odd VST here and there I am completely new to synths with almost no understanding of the mechanics that go into creating these sounds and patches etc. Thank you so much for this video. I got the D-50 recently with no understanding whatsoever of how to work it - and this video has given me everything I needed to get started. Thank you!!! 🙏
This has been really handy now that I have the D-05. I was a fan of the D50 back in the day but only used the presets. Now with the D-05 I can actually learn the innards of the instrument. Your tutorial here has really been helpful.
Thanks Sergio, just wish the synth sound was a bit lower and your voice a bit louder. had to adjust volume to hear you talk, but then the synth was too loud.
Gracias sergio ojala me puedas ayudar con mi vst puesto q ya no puede incontrar el sample fantasia y quisero saber como regresarlo a como estaba originalmente
hello ,to restore factory patches (from roland support) Windows: "Go to C:\ProgramData\Roland Cloud\ and move the folder of the afflicted plug-in to the Desktop Start DAW, add the plug-in to a track"
thanks for this video! do you know if patches created with the vst version can be transferred to a real D50? I'm trying not to waste my money on a PG 1000.
Bruh, this might sound dum, but i just started with the D - 50 and every time i write a chord it plays each note separatly, not like a sequencer but more like a roll off... Maybe you can help me out... Thanks, awesome video by the way!
@@SergioFrias No its not, Chase mode is Off off... I have the issue with the Preset "Marimba", every time i write MIDI chords and all the notes hit a t the same time, the higher notes tend to hit a lil bit after... and it kills me.
Did you realise that the annoying raw sound of the synth it´s 4x times louder than your speech? I had to give up unfortunately.. thanks for the effort explaining this though
I want to know how to use the sequencer. How can I program each channelPlease help'me.I do not use the drum machine.I do not like itI prefer to compose my own rhythms Thank you☺️

How is the D-05? It’s cool that Roland decided to do the reissue.
That's exactly the reason I watch this video. :)
What a lot of settings!...
Nice video sir

I have a question. How would I turn a sound that's not legato into legato ?

Hi there! About the keyboard Roland D50 (phisic one), the Cards contain waves, or just synth paramethers?
just synth parameters...custom samples are possible by adding Musictronics MEX D50 expansion.

Hmmm, i guess you are referring to "Chase mode", please check minute 7.20 where I talk more about it in detail.

Is it possible to add your own samples to the D-50?
