My Heartfelt Respect to Both of You, Sir...Proud to be having Such Deep Insightful Thinkers ❤🙏🙏🙏
1. As usual, a very informative and a wonderful show to watch! The geography of Wakan and GNBO etc. was not known in such a detail to me. Thanks General and Adi! 2. As regards INST, what General says is of course right in terms of cost of transportation by existing shipping routes. But INST was envisaged for increasing trade between landlocked countries of Central Asia with their linkages to Russia and Europe in the north and Iran and India etc. to the South. Given that, we need to look at it not only as route between India to Europe but between India to Central Asia and beyond. Then it makes good sense. 2. What General mentions about China being scared or worried of Pakistani backstabbing is interesting and sounds logical. But India ought to assume a scenario where entire northern borders from Ladakh to POK are under Chinese control and be ready accordingly. In view of this, India must make this possibility remote by injecting itself into areas up to Skardu at least and break off links to Karakoram Highway. 3. General may like to tell us about IAF Air base in Tajikistan and how important it is in some future episode. How do our aircrafts reach there?
Indeed thanks man. Will take this forward.
Keep up the Good work Adi👍👍👍
All Panelists are best experts in their own right 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Always a pleasure and feel fantastic with Gen Rajiv Sir. Kudos to Def talks Aadi Sir.
By far the best discussion on Hafiz sb visit to his strategic Medina ! 👏
I comprehend , the net SBP reserves as on 20 April official is 4.4 Billion and liquid fix reserves as 10 Billion $. The news of 10 billion dollar reserves seems misleading and perhaps from some PDM news outlet.
Withdraw from Indus Water Treaty as response.
We can withdraw but can't stop water for next few years or decade.
@@A-K-D can't we direct the water towards India
@@chillax360 mate, we need to build dams and canals for it. It takes time. I am all for it but just saying Pak will see the impact only after sometime but we still need to do it.
@@markvelber8664 May be in Arunachal but not in Kashmir. We have glaciers in our territory.
As always, hugely insightful session by Maj Gen Rajiv Narayanan.
Just want to add my bit to a comment made by Maj Gen about the lack of industrial capacity in Europe to arm Ukraine for the ongoing conflict.
Actually, it appears that the combined NATO, which includes the US, does not have the industrial capacity to militarily support Ukraine. At least some US defense manufacturers have 'demanded' US government's contribution to the investments needed for capacity expansions. To me, it suggests that the US MIC is not confident of long term demand justifying capacity expansion; whether the demand originates from the longevity of the Ukraine conflict or from other exportable markets for purposes not related to Ukraine.
@@anilpopli9184 More interesting than the Ukraine war ad NATO; would be the trajectory the US government and MIC plot for themselves in the forthcoming decades. The US involved itself with Ukraine to scare the Europeans into continuing to agree to host US troops and buying more American weapons. The latter is now in doubt given the vary parlous state of every European economy. Therefore, will the US government be more liberal with export licenses for its MIC? There is some chatter about AUKUS and the Nuclear submarine deal being a test template for the US exporting very high end technologies. For middle to low end technologies, US manufacturing is unaffordable on all continents!
Px 🇵🇰 और China की जिस मित्रता को हिमालय से ऊंची, समंदर से गहरी और शहद से ज़्यादा मीठी बताया जा रहा है वह जल्द ही अचार से ज्यादा खट्टी होने वाली है।
Most enlightening talk Narayanan sir. Somewhere you also need to give a talk on why we are so ill equipped to deal with northern front issues. Also recommendations on a countervailing strat.
very informative
Need to use marker to indicate locations on the map or marking on presentation itself. Otherwise substantial stuff I came across.
Excellent podcast as always! i am now considering becoming a member of this channel , especially for Gen Rajiv's analysis.
I have noticed that Indians have a very wrong notion of what 'Quality of life' is and 'standard of living' is. I have seen them connecting both to only infrastructure. This I guess is because humans tend to look at things they dont have.
Having lived , worked and toured all over east asia and europe , i can tell you that Indian infra is not anyway worse. Its just that we lack the civic responsibility + basic government services like waste management. Its a societal problem that needs to be fixed , unfortunately.
Jai Hind jai bharat
Some thing diffrent🌈👌
Very informative
Vg one thks Sir . Indirectly tells about the mess the British created.
Cheers
Strong economy is No1 priority of India. It should be always in mind ..only strong economy you can make strong influence in Indo-Pacific ..
What I understood from this discussion that let GB handled by Pakistan and China so both get stick from TTP.❤❤
When it comes to Pakistanis, anything and everything is on sale. The only limiting factor is price.
Sir, if china take over gilgit and baiistan then pak never get back and people will suffer like uzger Muslims. Either it has to be with pak or with india or make it as a seperate country. But never merge with china. If it comes into india the people will live democratically and happily. Thank you.

We did do watch the entire show
🎉please reduce Hindi. Can't understand
9:42 I saw a stat for the violence in XJ. From 1991 to 2005 there were over 200 incidents with 165 casualties. I think it was a program on CGTN where this Chinese cop was talking about his CT experiences in XJ when visiting the graves of fallen comrades. I was left with this feeling. Is that it? really. That is all.
Pales in comparison to what we endured in that time period. In terms of casualties that is like a few months count at the height of the insurgency in J&K. And I ask myself what are the Chinese so so scared of. There is no equivalence between what we endured to what China has experienced. We have lost more police personnel to terrorism than soldiers in all the wars combined since independence. Yet the Chinese behaviour is over the top aggressive. Just imagine if they experience a Pulwama. What will China do.
They might not have experienced Islamic terrorism, but they have experienced Japanese brutality in WW2. So, obviously, they are scared of insurgency in Xinjiang and terrorism.
12:40 Aadi, remember reading a couple of years ago the Chinese have a battalion in Tajikistan near their border to handle this contingency. Aha, here we go, 15:52
But the border with Pakistan is wide open. So entry into China via the Khunjerab pass must be tightly regulated.
58:43 Haha with oxygen bottles, love the way he rubbished the idea of Chinese pincer through GB. This fear has been animating a bit of commentary about the Chinese presence in GB. In another talk, it was clearly explained the solution to a different pincer or two front was to agree to a mutually beneficial ceasefire at the LOC. Even this ceasefire I remember people were critical of at the time. Why did we agree? Time has shown that was a good decision even if it did benefit the other side
We need GB to ask for independence from Pak 😏
Others laugh at us, we talk and talk. See, how Chinese just control and grasp Uyghurs and Tibetans, they can't do anything. But we, see how they kilk our soldiers
