Have a little faith! There's magic in the night! The Chief is a mighty fine performer... His voice just reminds me of hanging out the window wind blowing your arm anywhere high off being young and on a back road
EVERY MUSICAL ARTIST6 SHOULD PUT THEIR HEART AND SOUL INTO THE MUSIC THEY PERFORM, CAUSE IT SURE KEEPS THIS ROCK FROM ROLLING INTO A ROCK PIT! MY HEART POURS TEARS OF ALL THE MUSIC MR. E. CHURCH PERFORMS #1 IN MY HEARTFELT REPLY, GREAT MAN! LOVE YA BROTHER! JOHN CONRAD COLA, S. C.
Wonderful clip. Funny how the audience didn't seem to know the words to Springsteen's Thunder Road perhaps the greatest rock song ever, yet they knew the tribute song to him!
a jersey shore rock and roll anthem, done in country form, hey whatever it takes to spread the gospel of the boss to younger audiences. by any means availaiable
In a way, it was a blessing because we didn’t have to hear them try to sing along like they did with “Springsteen”. That audience can’t remotely carry a tune.
The Bruce Springsteen classic, "Thunder Road," (first song on Side A of his 1975 album, "Born to Run," pairs well with Mr. Church's enormous hit (and clever), "Springsteen."
everybody is entitled to their opinion, but Rick you should be proud that he knows a song so well written and as relevant now as it was in 1975. More people should be like Eric and Chris Stapleton and get back to their roots and what inspired them to become an artist. Most of the songs that come out now are terrible. Artist need to start writing about there lives again. And the world would be more beautiful.
When Eric Church gets as big as the Boss give me a call, kudos to Eric for covering Thunder Road, just a shame these young bucks don't know real music, glad I grew up in the 70's.
"Springsteen " gives me chills everytime I hear it, it is almost to pure facts of my life at 17, down to the Jeep, the music, being free and parents disapproval. His video made me choke up viewing it the first time. Thinkin...how did he know? name on tape as well. ~~chills~~♡ Thanks Taylor!
I have a mustard seed I’m bettin’ on…I will share Eric’s stage…he and I belting out our spirits in voice. As an audience experiences an Hz never felt prior…sing with me Eric, we couldn’t get much higher. Break on through to the other side… a “mojo risen” …”like a mojo risen” “keep on risen” “risen”risen” ……..
Thunder Road just isn't "Thunder Road" without a harmonica on intro and EXIT .. It's a shame none of these kids know Thunder Roads by Bruce !! Bruce Springsteen is a unique style very , very, few people can pull off.
He's doing his own take on it. In my opinion no artist should cover a song to sound as the original. Bruce is in a different genre to country and Eric church does a Bruce song in a country style.
+Rick right on brother!!!! Also a shame no one in the audience knew the words to Thunder road ..but then again I don't know the song that he played after it so.....
Please don't mention "the man's" name with g.b. Church has him bet every which way from Sunday. Some of those people that give out those awards need to listen and learn what a writer and singer can produce. This man is entertainer of the year every year. Just like Church's chicken gotta love 'em. Ct/tx
Damn shame no one in the audience knew the words to "Thunder road"".. ..but then again I don't know the words to that song that he played after it so.....
I know every word to Thunder road and Springsteen. an awesome song is an awesome song. I sing metal and country, some incredible rock songs creep in occasionally never had the cahonas to knock out thunder road tho'
Reasons on my phone keyboard couldn't work Took to the phil pino shop Down town To change chip but end ip not chamge it 😢 becausey key was no where in play Turn it Tryin to sell me a mew phone That wasn't mean😢😮 Now Jamaican yec fix inim
I’m sorry, but that sounded like a dude at a bar who just picked up a guitar and covered Bruce. He’s not awful, but do I get a free drink with admission?
Sure..I'll just run around and sing into everyone's phone..so anytime someone posts a Boss cover and u watch it you can hear my voice ..and then you can stop crying about no one knowing the lyrics
+Bert1010 its just a fact man no reason to get upset kids today just don't listen to good music. they wouldn't know good music if it bit them in the ass now granted this guy does a good cover of Bruce Springsteen's Thunda road but you can't start it without a harmonica it's a respect thing
+Rick I'm not upset...but u can't expect every fan to know every song ever made...keep in mind that some have not had the chance to be exposed to the Boss yet..and when they go see Eric and hear this maybe something clicks and they go check out this song they never heard of...and then they think it's cool..and they check out some of his other stuff and realize how great he is...that's why it's important for other artists to cover his songs...it's not so they can mimic Bruce word for word and do a karaoke version of him...it's a first off a tribute to Bruce and most importantly exposes fans to his music who might not know much about him...just because someone doesn't know a song doesn't mean they don't appreciate good music ...instead of being critical of people not knowing try saying "hey if u don't know Bruce and you like this song Thunder Road you should check out a song called Darlington County"...and that is how you spread music
@@Bert-hj5gr , totally agree. And being a Springsteen fan turned me on to Eric Church because I HAD to listen to a song called “Springsteen”. Without Eric’s Bruce fandom, I may never have heard “Knives of Néw Orleans”, “Record Year”, and so many more. And Eric’s duet with Keith Urban on “Raise ‘em Up”, exposed me to some good Keith Urban songs. Max’s son playing in Against Me turned me on to Against Me. It’s like a beautiful musical daisy chain!
I don't care how old his videos are, I watch them repeatedly ❤😘😎🎼💋😎💯🎶🙏🎯🔥👠

You are right Kenneth music that tells a story is the best.

in my honest opinion, his version(s) are 10000x better than bruce, along with born to run
Why are you even watching this? Go listen to Bruce Springsteen if you don't want to hear an amazing artist cover him.
I've heard Bruce do it without the harmonica, or the guitar, just a piano. No matter how it's done, it's still a great song, and you can't ruin it.
Eagles soar and rocket ships fly! Stars ⭐️ shine!
GIFTED
I was there and cont remember the name of the band that opened. Someone help
I LOVE ❤️ you E.C. raise em up!

I 🤟🏼😘Love your LOVE the MOST!!!!!
Let’s go
woah
So they don’t sing a word of thunder road but they know all the words to “Springsteen” nice
Well, it was an Eric Church show. So...
So they went to an Eric Church show and not a Springsteen show. Funny how that works.
In a way, it was a blessing because we didn’t have to hear them butcher it by singing along like they did with “Springsteen”.
💜🤟🏼💃🏼💋
Damn shame no one in the audience knew the words to "Thunder road"".. ..but then again I don't know the words to that song that he played after it so.....
