Hi James , thank you for watching my videos 😀. I wouldn’t say that the weather is cold right now at all but this depends on from where someone comes from. I see people are swimming right now and I still walking around with a coat 😬. This one filmed recently, so you can imagine how the situation is . it has been pretty cold this april.. The average high temp in april for Chania airport from 1977 to 2002 has been 19.9 degrees and down to 11.8 degrees cold temps (night) ,, Chania has had plenty of clouds and rain and nothern winds this april so below average and mostly around 16 degrees in the shade.. The heat has though been stuck in the western part of the MED with Spain and Mallorca having rather high temps really early this year.. This coming week Madrid is getting temps up to 32 degrees allready in late april.
Late may is supposed to be a good time in Chania.. The Meltimi winds from the north is not as fearce as when you get into late june, July and April..
But I guess you want that wind in July when it can be very hot.. but getting sandblasted at the beach is never nice..
Everything is still green and lush.. with temps around 24 degrees at day and 15 at night..
