- Chicken, Onion Jam Pizza using a Bread Machine
For the dough:
1 ¼ cups of warm water
2 tsps sugar
1 ½ tsps quick rise yeast
1 tsp salt
1 ½ TBSPS olive oil.
3 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour
Put the ingredients into the pan of the bread machine in the order listed. Set the machine on the dough cycle and allow it to work its way through.
White Sauce
2 TBSPS butter
2 TBSPS flour
1/8 tsp salt and pepper
¼ tsp garlic powder
1 cup of milk
Melt the butter and add the flour stirring almost constantly for one to two minutes. Add the spices and seasonings and then add the milk a little bit at a time stirring constantly to make sure you don’t get lumps. Put into a shallow bowl, cover with plastic wrap chill while the dough is working.
When you bring the dough out of the bread machine cut it in half and set aside one half for the freezer. The other half set under a bowl for at least 10 minutes to rest. Then either press it out or roll it out until you have the desired size. Add the white sauce or if you are making a red sauce pizza add that sauce. Then top with whatever ingredients you like. For this video I used mozzarella cheese, rotisserie chicken, onion jam but you could use what ever you find in your fridge, add a little more mozzarella and you have a pizza.
The oven is set to 450 degrees and I left it in there for 16 minutes.

I love to make Mexican pizza. Mix some refried beans with about a tsp. Of taco seasoning, add your favorite salsa on top, shredded cheese and bake. If you like it spicy, add jalapeño peppers. Before serving I top with sliced avocado and chopped fresh tomatoes and green onions. Delicious! And thanks to you and you videos, I pulled my bread machine out of retirement and use it at least once a week. I live alone so quantity cooking that can’t be frozen or canned is a thing of the past, but I still love good home cooked meals.
Hello Sue, I love that you have your bread machine out and I have never considered Mexican Pizza before but I will be now. We all have so much to learn from each other. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes! Colleen
Hi Colleen your easy bread machine pizza dough snd the onion jam chicken pizza looks delicious ! I love to use Rsnch dressing as my pizza sauce snd add any ingredients you like on your pizza as toppings , it’s so delicious !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
@@beckystone7994 thank you Becky, I think it would be delicious as well. Thanks for continuing to watch and comment! Colleen
That sounds really good too! Thanks!
@@oursilvermoments6028 your very welcome ! ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
A video on how to make the onion jam please!!! Love all the recipes with the bread maker. Keep them coming!,,
Thank you Anna! I have onion jam on the list of things to make. Best wishes, Colleen
That's cool that the pizza dough recipe makes enough for two pizzas!
I can't wait to make this for Friday pizza night! Yours came out so beautifully! 😋 Thank you. 🎉 FYI, when you take your frozen dough out of the freezer, immediately remove it from the plastic bag and put in a bowl to defrost. Cover the bowl with a cloth or cover to keep it moist, and then you don't have to fight with removing the soft sticky dough from the zipper bag. Ask me how I know. 😂
Good tips Annamarie, thank you for sharing them and I hope you love the pizza!
Thats the best looking pizza ive ever seen 🤩
Thank you for this bread machine recipe. Please post more bread machine recipes.
I have several more bread machine recipes posted already. I hope you have a look. Cheers, Colleen

Thankyou Colleen for the idea of using a homemade white sauce for pizza. My husband will be happy as he prefers a white sauce to the red. Please keep recipes using the breadmaker coming.
Looks delicious!! 😋 I hope you’ll make a video on making onion jam next! I’d love to know how to make that as well! 😁❤
I will definitely add it to the list of things to make for videos. Cheers, Colleen
I had never thought of using white sauce it was always spaghetti sauce. I am definitely going to make this. Since I started watching your videos I have been using my bread maker more. Loving your recipes. 😊
Thank you, I am so happy you are finding some inspiration here. Best wishes, Colleen
Just love your recipes. Nothing fancy but sure is good tasting. I get to use my bread machine more now. Thank you very much.
Good for you! Thank you for watching. I try to keep the recipes simple so people don't feel like they have to buy obscure ingredients that they may never use again. Best wishes, Colleen
Our walmart raised their rotisserie chicken to $10.99. Our local Giant Eagle store charges $6.99. So crazy, but you and shred it and bag it and put in the freezer for other meals. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Oh this looks so good Colleen. When is video with onion jam coming. I sure would love to try that as well. Thx
Love white sauce pizza! Will definitely try this crust!
I make a "Philly cheese steak" pizza with a cooked sandwich steak (frozen patty things) and mandolin sliced veggies (onion, grn pepper, mushrm) and broil it 1-2 min at the end to roast the veggies on top.
With the chicken, I use diced sun dried tomatos and Cajun spice sprinkled on top.
I use the jarred sauce, but only about 2-3T. Divide the rest in baggies and freeze for the next few pizzas.
Thank sounds delicious and there are some good tips in there as well. Thanks so much for sharing!
Can’t wait to try this recipe! I never thought of making my pizza dough in the bread machine. 😋
I hope it turns out great for you! Best wishes, Colleen
Do it! It's a game changer. The bread machine is great for making any hand shaped bread dough. Save your hands. You can find a suitable recipe for anything. My cheap Hamilton Beach machine came with a great recipe book. Pizza crust, foccacia, pita, cinnamon rolls to name a few. Have fun!
Thank you for the encouragement! I’m going to dig out my machine’s manual!
You are a treasure ❤
Thank you!
This is the first time I’ve seen a white sauce, so I thank you very much. I can’t have anything with tomatoes. I can’t wait to try this. I can’t tell you how Happy I am.
Excellent! I am glad to hear that this is so.ething you might try. Best wishes, Colleen
I took the time the other day to dig out my bread maker - so happy to report that it does have a dough cycle - - so with a new supply of yeast bread will be made this winter - thanks to you.
@janiefox3458 Thanks great! I hope you love it!
Great recipe! I will be making this with our granddaughter this weekend. Thank you!

I hope you have a lovely upcoming weekend!
Thank you, I hope you love it too!

I don't use my oven any more not a 220 watt when these machines do everything I need for 110 watt 🙏🤗☕👍💞
Hi Colleen, nice to see you again. Happy new year. I make a pizza like this but use caramelized onions. I also freeze pizza dough. So good. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching and commenting Lyn! I love to hear how everyone else makes their pizza. Cheers, Colleen
Well, i sure wouldn't turn down a slice of that!! Looks great Colleen!!
Thank you Sharon!
Hi Colleen from Greeneville Tn . We were 4* Sunday and today Thursday we are 60* at 9:30am. I hope your weather is good ! This pizza looks amazing ! I have a bread machine also , but I only make bread in it and I’m very happy with the bread . But I’m going to try this dough . Thank You for sharing !!! Blessings to you all!
Blessings to you all! I hope you enjoy the recipe. Best wishes, Colleen
I love my bread machine, I use it 2-3 times a week making either bread or dough.
They are the best appliance ever.
This was very helpful. It answered the quesions I had about making pizza when you make the dough in the breadmaker.
Excellent, I am happy it was useful for you. Best wishes, Colleen
It looks like home made pizza is back on my menu, especially now my bread machine is out on the bench. I love pizza made fresh at home and your pizza looks like the best one I’ve seen. It’s made me really hungry for pizza lol. I love most toppings on pizza and as it’s only me thats eating it I can use whatever I fancy on the day. If my grandkids are here, a couple like just cheese and the others like pepperoni, so not much variety if they are here lol. I plan on using my bread maker a lot after seeing you with yours Colleen. It’s just plain flour for a loaf of bread isn’t it??? I think you call it all purpose flour. I don’t think it would be self raising flour. I always used to use bread flour and buy it in bulk but I’m nowhere near any shops to get my flour like that now. You’ve really inspired me to use my machine Colleen, so thanks heaps.
Oh my, adding this to my list!
That looks delicious! You’ll have to give us a demo on the onion relish one day.
I will! Cheers, Colleen
Looks yummy! I'm looking forward to the Onion Jam video too.
Ohh that pizza looked amazing!
Thank you, it is absolutely delicious!
I found a bread machine at the Good Will and it works great! I've been making your recipes and it really is a game changer. Thank you so much for sharing them! Onion jam would be great! Take care 😊
Awesome, I always see them at the thrift stores so its good to see someone picking them up and using them. I will add onion jam to the list of things to video. Best wishes, Colleen
Thank you Colleen!
Your pizza looks so good.
Thank you, we certainly enjoyed it.
You have made me excited to make more bread, and my husband loves pizza, so this is next!
I can’t wait to try this -?yum!
I hope you love it.
Very nice!
I used your pizza recipe- it worked great in my bread maker. The only difference was I adding 1t. Pizza seasoning from King Arthur in my dough mixture. Letting the dough rest for 15 min under a bowl made it easy to stretch in my pan. The white sauce was perfect . And freezing the 1/2 dough for later. I wanted to share my outcome- Thank You!
Thanks for your recipes. No special ingredients and made easily!
Looks yummy!
My new bread machine comes this weekend. I hope I love it, you inspired me.❤❤
I hope you love yours as much as I love mine. ❤❤
@oursilvermoments6028 thanks. I also bought some rye flour. I love rye bread.
You have become my favorite baker! I have a bread machine now, thanks to your clear instructions!
I do home you enjoy your new bread maker. Best wishes, Colleen
This looks delicious! Thank you!
Looks delicious!
Thank you!
That looks amazing!
That last one amazing. You have inspired me to make more use of my bread maker
You have inspired me to pull out my bread machine! I watched your video about making donuts and my husband can't wait for the weekend when I promised him, I would make him some. Thank you for your inspiration and encouragement. Have a great day!
I love your recipes. They look so yummy. And most of all I think I can make them. I did the first white bread recipe and it came out great and then I made a second one using milk instead of water and it was even better. Keep up the good work and don’t let naysayers discouraged you. Thank you again.
My pizza is never round... Always an odd shape but good. I usually buy the crust but going to try your recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, it is good to hear I am not the only one who isn't skilled with the round pizza. Best wishes, Colleen
Im sooo happy to have this recipe! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!! YUM YUM!! I also have HB bread maker, just like yours and I LOVE IT! I have about worked it to death tho lol. 💞🙏🏼💞
P.s. PLEASE make a video of making the onion jam?!?! TY!! ♥️
Thank you Jeanne, I do have onion jam on my list of things to make a video of. Take care, Colleen
I will be trying this soon. As a 55 year old that still works full-time i would love to make the dough for freezer too.
I love watching you cook, can you please teach us how to make your onion jam? That would be amazing 💕
I will add it to the list of things to share.
Hello Colleen, my name is Dennis Malone and I’m a new subscriber. I have a recipe I would like to share with you. It’s called creamy chicken taco soup you make this in the crockpot. Eight chicken tenders cut into pieces. 3 cups of chicken stock not brown stock one onion, chopped finally three cloves of garlic shot. Finally when chicken is done remove crockpots and add six Yukon gold potatoes, peel and cut into pieces. One can of black means during enraged one can of beans during and rinsed. One can of roasted tomatoes, one can of roasted peppers one can of enchilada sauce mild you can use the red or the green one package of frozen corn. One package of taco sees me one teaspoon of chili powder, half a teaspoon of cumin, a teaspoon of garlic powder a teaspoon of garlic, onion powder. Salt in one teaspoon of black pepper one package then add one package of Philadelphia cream cheese. Cut into pieces and cream cheese is melted. Stir it. You can see the cream cheese pieces. I serve this with sweet potato biscuits, a green salad, taco chips, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. Also, I make a peach cobbler struggle with vanilla meat ice cream. I hope you make this recipe. Thanks a lot love your channel.
Colleen, you are a joy to be with during your cooking! So REAL! I found putting some corn meal on pizza pan helps to keep it from sticking too. Just a thought! Thank you for giving my bread machine a second life! 💜
Forgot to say I'm from Cleveland, Ohio. 💜
I will definitely try this pizza crust recipe with my bread maker…thank you

I just found your channel and subscribed. Love how you explained everything. Thanks for sharing. Will be making this pizza and the sauce today, in my brand new (first time trying it out) pizza maker. Thursday 3/21/24.

I’m sure I will. I’ve never had chicken pizza before, I didn’t think I would like it. But I made this recipe anyways including the sauce on the day I saw this video and I was pleasantly surprised! It was delicious! I will be making it again today. Thanks so much for your recipe! ❤ God bless! 🙏🏻
@@mariangies i so happy to hear that you enjoyed the recipe! Best wishes, Colleen
I love your videos! I have the same bread machine and your way of using it for the dough (cycle 8) is a game changer. I am so thankful for your recipes and cooking tutorials. Thank you so much! 💓
You are very welcome! I am glad you are finding it useful.
Looks absolutely delicious! One of my favorite kinds of pizza 😋
Thank you!
I am looking forward to making this recipe, so glad the extra dough freezes well. Thank you for sharing, I am enjoying this series of bread machine doughs, etc. 🙂
Thank you Paula, I hope that it turns out well for you. Best wishes, Colleen
I've never made/had a white sauce pizza and I'm in my 60's! That looked so good esp with the onion jam. Yup. You need to make a video on that :)
Thanks for watching! I do intend to make a video with the onion jam because there has been lots of interest for it. Cheers, Colleen
making your own Alfredo sauce is just as easy and quick as your white sauce. and any amount you want, ( and tastes better :) )
That looks amazing! I've never had pizza with Bechamel sauce. Something to try as I love pizza. 😇🩵🙏🙌
I hope that you love it! Best wishes, Colleen
Thank you for sharing your pizza dough recipe! It looks delicious
Thanks for watching, it is delicious!
I find cornmeal on the bottom helps with sticking. One Hamilton bread maker lover to another will try! My husband swears by plum sauce I canned “grow and preserve” recipe. It is much spicer than traditional bottled plum sauce. He puts that instead of other sauces, along with either chicken or thin strips of steak.
Definitely will try this recipe...new use for my onion jam. Looks super easy and tasty. TY
Excellent!! The onion jam just adds something special to the pizza.
Im enjoying your videos. I only recently came across the one you did on using your bread machine to make 3 different breads. The cinnamon rolls were awesome…I’ve made them twice already. I personally love a white pizza with chicken, Italian sausage, spinach, mushrooms, mozzarella, and caramelized onions. Can’t wait to try this pizza crust out. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you for your kind comments and for sharing your experience. It is wonderful to hear that you are enjoying the channel. Best wishes, Colleen
I like your idea of the white sauce that is something I've never tried and it sounds delicious and it looks good I'm definitely going to try this on the next Pizza that I make. I also like the idea of a rotisserie chicken cuz they're already seasoned and you don't have to add a whole lot of extra seasoning, thank you for sharing your recipe I'm glad I watched the video
I do hope that you will watch some of my other videos also. Best wishes, Colleen
So excited to try!
I hope you enjoy it!
I love making homemade pizza it’s so satisfying to make your own pizza dough. I make white pizza with tomato slices and.broccoli
It is so simple to make your own pizza and as you said very satisfying. Cheers, Colleen
Looks great. Never had a white sauce pizza.
I hope you give it a try. Cheers, Colleen
Looks awesome! Thanks for sharing your recipe with us!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
I have really enjoyed watching your channel great recipes thank you
Thank you for the kind comment. I appreciate you watching.
I’ve never considered baking. Takes too long. You’ve convinced me to get a bread maker! By the way, I’m obsessive about having my knives sharp. I cringe every time you cut on the counter top. lol.
I am sure my hubby cringes everytime i do it as well...😀
Oh how I really enjoy and look forward to your videos. Thank you so much❤️
You are very welcome and thank you for watching. Best wishes, Colleen
That looks darn good, my family loves to make the buffalo chicken pizza
Delicious as well no doubt!
That looks DELICIOUS! I’ve used Cesar dressing with chicken. Would love to see you making the onion jam!
Thank you, I have put the onion jam on the list of things to video. Best wishes, Colleen
I'm definitely making this. It looks absolutely delicious. Thank you for sharing. God bless😊
Thank you So much for watching!
I am going to make this pizza! My mouth is watering.
Beautiful!! I've made a lot of pizzas but never any better than yours. You might try a few tomato slices, or various diced veggies on the next one you make...🇺🇸 👍☕
Thank you!
That looks good! I am going to try it. I will do two pizzas one traditional style and one like yours. I don't have the onion jam, but I will try cowboy candy on ours.
The cowboy candy sounds really good. I hope you love it!
Definitely going to try this as I would rather have a white sauce on my pizza versus red sauce.
Hope you enjoy it Robin :)
Looks delicious! Please, how do you make your onion jam?
Do you have any bread machine sandwich roll recipes. Like onion rolls.
That was the best pizza it was delicious
Yummy, looks great. A bread/dough machine is great, makes dough so much easier and better for you than the store brands and pizza dough, yum, use mine all the time.
I would set the oven to MAX though as it cuts down in time (almost 50%), and makes great pizza.
Most commercial (pizzaria) ovens are 800F or more, and a kitchen (home) oven maxes out at 500F (I use the broil setting as it goes about 550F, before going off, (back on at 500), and preheat for 10-15 minutes.
Some say a pizza stone helps, but it's been my experience that most pizza toppings cook and melt at 10 (ten) to 12 (twelve) minutes. (All depends on what toppings/and humid/water, content), eg raw mushrooms, green peppers, etc), additionally, various pans make a difference in (crisp) texture but the time remains the same. 10-12 and I normally check (low toppings, at 10-11 minutes minutes, and have used, cookie sheet, cast iron (gives you that CPK round crust), sheet (flat, no edges, and anything you can throw in the oven.
Of course, I used a pizza pan too. Worked great. Now I see pizza pans with holes on the bottom (haven't tried yet) but makes sense, suppose it depends on how you like the crust.
Soft, doughy, high raising, low, thin, stiff, floppy, etc. all depends on your pan and yeast.
Still figuring it guys.
It's like a giant science lab experiments, where we can eat the results.
Haven't made a white sauce pizza yet, soon though, soon.
Thank you.
✨🕊️💫♾️😎
Anyone know if they (they, lol) use that enzyme in the dough that they use for East Coast panadosa rolls, at some places and in food processing?
I ask as I can make pretty good pizza (which comes out great/from oven), but as it cools, it still rises, almost double in height sometimes.
Still trying to figure out.
Thanks.
Have a great day, week, months, decades and more all.
✨💫
Have you made any keto bread in your bread machine? I enjoyed your demo on pizza crust👍👏👏
Hi Colleen, your pizza looks fantastic. I only have a deep-dish pizza pan and that's what I make. Would yours work on a baking sheet, or could I put the dough on parchment paper and then onto a thick pizza stone, without a pan? There used to be a television show on PBS called the Pizza Man, I think, not sure if I remember for sure. Anyway, I found one of his pizza stones in a little shop, it's quite large and thick. I have double ovens, so I always keep it in the bottom oven and sometimes I remove it because it's very heavy. He had a pizza cookbook, but I don't know what I did with it or ever used it, it had very labor-intensive recipes with tons of ingredients I didn't have so maybe I got rid of the book when we moved a few times. I'm watching your videos on TV; I know how to like them but don't know how to leave a comment on the TV, so I have to come to the computer. Look forward to more great videos. Stay well and safe.
Looks yummy. I have to learn to make gluten free pizza crust.
How did it taste? Was there anything you would have done differently to the crust or the sauce recipe? Thank you very much for posting these videos!
We make a bar b q sauce pizza with chicken that is good too can add onions peppers etc or just chicken
100% agree, you can have too much cheese.
❤
Love watching your videos. Was wondering where you store your yeast? Some say freezer or fridge or cupboard
😊
😊
subbed!!
😂looks delicious
