Not true. Larry is WAY more experienced than he was when he faced Khalid he was still new. Now Larry has years of arm wrestling under his belt. So it’s a way tougher opponent for Brian than it was for Khalid.

if devon is 260, just give him vitaly, both of them need a right arm match while jerry takes the shot at levan... if devon loses, he still is very qualified for the lower weight categories, and vitaly finally gets the title shot... (if devon manages to win, that would leave vitaly in a bad spot, but I'm 100% sure he wants this match, it would sell a lot, easily a main event - or co-main if happens at the same card as levan vs jerry)

Depends what type of training. The best thing by far for a new armwrestlers is pulling-practice every week and as many tournaments and matches as possible. That's how you grow. I don't think Shaw is doing that so he's really limited to how much he can improve, especially since he's already really strong
Freedom wrestling , with some rules , you cannot go to another side of the table you must stay in your side and your opponent has to stay directly across from you on their side. Secondly , you are pinned whenever your wrist touches the table , to make this easy , both wrestlers can have red or blue paint on their wrists .

truth is we just don't know, but i also don't think it's necessarily true. If Brian loses to Larry right now, it's simply because he didn't have any armwrestling competition, because there's no way Larry is stronger than him in any lane. I still think the arm wrestling community makes way too much of a big deal about people losing, it's normal to lose, doesn't mean you're bad or finished and it's not a catastrphic event. At the same time i also think Brian should enter some tournaments, even if it's local tournaments and he easily wins, he still gets to feel how it is to compete against other people, the refs, the go, and so on. He can't stay in the gym for 2 hours only watching matches on video, he gotta do it himself.
Armwrestling is starting to loose steam. You can feel it. Devon is irrelevant now…John is totally washed….all the matches upcoming are soon to just be rematches. Not many up and coming athletes. Just getting stale. It was inevitable in such a niche sport that takes years and years for someone to actually get to a decent level to compete. Armwrestling peak was 2023-2024. Downhill from here on out unless Brian Shaw saves this sport.

I'm gonna say it again, give Brian someone that is at his technical level, even Leonidas has a better technical understanding. Brian should not risk on losing at all, or much worst to injury himself. He needs someone with less armwrestling experience, maybe Hafþór Júlíus or Magnus Samuelsson. Tossing an unexperienced armwrestler in a real match against an experienced one can be a terrible idea. Give Brian time to learn his limits and how NOT TO PULL before he tears his own arms, he is the biggest upcoming menace that we have and we should protect him.

Devon was OVERTRAINING and pushing his limits multiple times a day, every single day when preparing for Levan, that's probably why it's was so difficult for him to gain weight. He was burning too many calories and breaking down too much muscle. But now since he is a bit relaxed and enjoying himself, he is gaining that weight easily. The psychological factor play a role too.
Not only will Brian never beat Levan. I’m calling it right now: Brian will never even be top 5 in North America, let alone top 5 in the world. He’s going to try as hard as he can (just like Larry Wheels), and when he realizes that he just doesn’t have what it takes, he will blame his underwhelming performance on not being able to focus on armwrestling because he has too much else on his plate (just like Larry). The problem is that these guys do not possess the general athleticism to perform at the highest level in a sport like armwrestling.

Devon is a legend but my gosh he just could not be more wrong on this lol, it's virtually impossible for a man with zero experience just starting out in his what late 30s/early 40s to hang with elites let alone beat modern day greats and active legends, look at Larry Wheels he seems to already be done and he took it fairly seriously gave it a go for what 3-4 years and couldn't even crack top 10000 in the world, Shaw will be no different he may do better for sure heck maybe he can even get national level good, but beating a Vitali or Ermes or even a super heavy Devon and Levan is absurd.
"king of the table is supposed to be the premier event" maybe in another universe. It used to have amazing matches, but its been degrading into a side show with the exception of a few decent matches amongst mediocre cards.

Arm wrestling is a strength sport. This community does not seem to realize just how incredibly strong Brian is, and especially his grip, and pressing strength. This arm wrestling you see now, will not be what you are going to see after strongman brings back arm wrestling. Pure strength is coming. Brian has a stronger grip than Vitaliy. He is also stronger in all lifts vs Levan.
Alot of men can lift weigh more than levan or Devon or a lot of guys can, difference is those 2 guys are also not only super strong- and arm wrestling specific strong- but have 20 years of experience as well, it matters there will be no sudden transition of a bunch of strong men suddenly dominating arm wrestling greats, itl be a miracle if even just one of them breaks into the national level let alone top world elite, if its Shaw awesome but will see and that will not be easy or some guarantee.
Strength is super important to be elite, years of experience and actually working out your arm muscles tendons specifically related to arm wrestling for years and years on end matters way more, There are probably kung fu experts who are faster more precise and technically skilled then say a Floyd Mayweather Manny Pacquaio or Juan Marquez.....they'd still lose to them in a boxing match 100 out of 100 times for obvious reasons because it's a specificized /hyper specialized sport, just as Arm Wrestling is. Likewise with most mma fighters the best mma strikers pale in comparison to the best Boxers punches, why? because one spend a lifetime refining a specific skill their hands and fists, the other has more broad techniques and less specialized and yes vice versa as well many top boxers would lose to an ma fighter under mma rules as well for the exact same reasons. A strong football player may stand a better chance or have greater potential at randomly switching to arm wrestling then say you or I or some random dude off the street no doubt, but to get to the level of a national champ let alone a world rated elite would take years and years and years no matter how much they can lift.

truth is we just don't know, but i also don't think it's necessarily true. If Brian loses to Larry right now, it's simply because he didn't have any armwrestling competition, because there's no way Larry is stronger than him in any lane. I still think the arm wrestling community makes way too much of a big deal about people losing, it's normal to lose, doesn't mean you're bad or finished and it's not a catastrphic event. At the same time i also think Brian should enter some tournaments, even if it's local tournaments and he easily wins, he still gets to feel how it is to compete against other people, the refs, the go, and so on. He can't stay in the gym for 2 hours only watching matches on video, he gotta do it himself.
Armwrestling is starting to loose steam. You can feel it. Devon is irrelevant now…John is totally washed….all the matches upcoming are soon to just be rematches. Not many up and coming athletes. Just getting stale.
It was inevitable in such a niche sport that takes years and years for someone to actually get to a decent level to compete.

I'm gonna say it again, give Brian someone that is at his technical level, even Leonidas has a better technical understanding. Brian should not risk on losing at all, or much worst to injury himself. He needs someone with less armwrestling experience, maybe Hafþór Júlíus or Magnus Samuelsson. Tossing an unexperienced armwrestler in a real match against an experienced one can be a terrible idea.
Give Brian time to learn his limits and how NOT TO PULL before he tears his own arms, he is the biggest upcoming menace that we have and we should protect him.

Devon was OVERTRAINING and pushing his limits multiple times a day, every single day when preparing for Levan, that's probably why it's was so difficult for him to gain weight. He was burning too many calories and breaking down too much muscle. But now since he is a bit relaxed and enjoying himself, he is gaining that weight easily. The psychological factor play a role too.
Levan should cut weight to 150kg so that people have a chance to beat him.
Not only will Brian never beat Levan. I’m calling it right now: Brian will never even be top 5 in North America, let alone top 5 in the world. He’s going to try as hard as he can (just like Larry Wheels), and when he realizes that he just doesn’t have what it takes, he will blame his underwhelming performance on not being able to focus on armwrestling because he has too much else on his plate (just like Larry). The problem is that these guys do not possess the general athleticism to perform at the highest level in a sport like armwrestling.

Devon is a legend but my gosh he just could not be more wrong on this lol, it's virtually impossible for a man with zero experience just starting out in his what late 30s/early 40s to hang with elites let alone beat modern day greats and active legends, look at Larry Wheels he seems to already be done and he took it fairly seriously gave it a go for what 3-4 years and couldn't even crack top 10000 in the world, Shaw will be no different he may do better for sure heck maybe he can even get national level good, but beating a Vitali or Ermes or even a super heavy Devon and Levan is absurd.

Arm wrestling is a strength sport. This community does not seem to realize just how incredibly strong Brian is, and especially his grip, and pressing strength. This arm wrestling you see now, will not be what you are going to see after strongman brings back arm wrestling.
Pure strength is coming. Brian has a stronger grip than Vitaliy. He is also stronger in all lifts vs Levan.

Alot of men can lift weigh more than levan or Devon or a lot of guys can, difference is those 2 guys are also not only super strong- and arm wrestling specific strong- but have 20 years of experience as well, it matters there will be no sudden transition of a bunch of strong men suddenly dominating arm wrestling greats, itl be a miracle if even just one of them breaks into the national level let alone top world elite, if its Shaw awesome but will see and that will not be easy or some guarantee.
Strength is super important to be elite, years of experience and actually working out your arm muscles tendons specifically related to arm wrestling for years and years on end matters way more, There are probably kung fu experts who are faster more precise and technically skilled then say a Floyd Mayweather Manny Pacquaio or Juan Marquez.....they'd still lose to them in a boxing match 100 out of 100 times for obvious reasons because it's a specificized /hyper specialized sport, just as Arm Wrestling is. Likewise with most mma fighters the best mma strikers pale in comparison to the best Boxers punches, why? because one spend a lifetime refining a specific skill their hands and fists, the other has more broad techniques and less specialized and yes vice versa as well many top boxers would lose to an ma fighter under mma rules as well for the exact same reasons. A strong football player may stand a better chance or have greater potential at randomly switching to arm wrestling then say you or I or some random dude off the street no doubt, but to get to the level of a national champ let alone a world rated elite would take years and years and years no matter how much they can lift.
I'm sorry, I respect Devon's armwrestling like most do, but it's kind of funny and also a bit sad how Devon, who couldn't do anything with Levan, is so amped up to see Levan get beaten.
