  • Ignorant unhelpful and awkward staff who just ignored me when i said I was now filming to prove their odd behaviour and the fact that they couldnt take a simple MULTIPLE ORDER. Then it degenerated because they didnt get a manager and when they left us for nearly 10 minutes and I started getting pissed off the manager pipes up that because I have not "treated their staff" blah blah that they are not serving me. Then I get them acting up in the windows when im trying to record to get an answer to what it going on and i get them waving at me and flipping me the finger.
    What the F is going on at McDonalds pembroke. Really... never been to a McDonalds like this ever and I go to a lot. This place needs some serious retraining and quick!

      I've had to deal with this before. They wouldn't do more than two orders. That's when I ordered all of our food in one order, drove through, and drove away lol.

    What a sad life you must have if you find joy in harassing teenagers earning minimum wage? They don't make the rules, complain to head office if you are unhappy, not the people who probably had to go straight from school to work. The place is tiny, it would have been a fraction of the time to actually drive around... or you know, act normal, pay on a single card and sort it out between You, like adults.

      maybe noone had that much cash on them at the time, although i guess they could have all pooled in and one person order one large meal, like 4 burgers, 4 cokes, four fries. Some people indeed do make such large orders for themselves especially in USA, the land of cronic obesity. I reckon the staff just couldnt be bothered. There is a lot of incompetance and lazy attitudes in most jobs, as most people want to do as little as possible, usually due to overworked conditions and low pay. Many employees like recepionists etc find it easy to fob of people if they think they will get away with it.

    Feeling really sorry for the employees on minimum wage - I've been in their position and it is absolutely soul destroying work. A simple mistake about multiple order taking did not warrant this response. At the same time, it is so infuriating to see businesses still closed / enforcing moronic rules in the name of Covid.

    I was a manager at a McDonald's in the states and some are owned by franchise and some privately owned but if there policies where different it's on them for not having something posted to let customers know bc they can't assume that everyone is a regular and knows how they run....and not being able to take multiple orders at a time is kinda sad I've never had a place not be able to do what's in there own job description. But agian there's always two sides to a story lol love the content matt keep it coming!

      In the state of the U.S. where I live they will only take 2 orders per car. They say they out this policy in place due to the lack of employees. But you are correct absolutely asinine that they won't take multiple orders.

    Avoid like the Plague It really gets my hair off ,I took my daughter for medium fries and a chicken legend and was told to wait were there were no spaces I created a blockage and sounded my horn and said no disrespect to the young lady that brought the food ,but once they have taken your money you are dog shit I will never eat there again and also question the food and farming of the produce .

    Lol why not order everything in one go? 🤣 I assume each of you wanted to order your own with your own payment method. Something you can't do with one car. 1 car per order/payment. That's how it always works. Next time, place one order for everyone and split the cost after. Makes sense. Poor behaviour by the staff tho. You were both right....and you were also both wrong.       Yeah, but there was nobody else there at the time - they weren't holding anybody up by paying separately. The suggestion they drive round four times is beyond ludicrous - especially as the guys would have gone in and ordered normally in the restaurant, had it been open as it was meant to be. The fact a queue built up behind was entirely the fault of the supervisor - she should have told them we don't normally do it that way, but we'll do it this time as you're already here... Only, I'd have my engine off and refused to move until they did - queue or no queue! What can they do about it - it's on private land, so not a police traffic issue... What's more, I'd have got out and apologised to the drivers behind for the delay - warning them that if they wanted more than one order, staff would expected round and round all night! Sticking their fingers up is absolutely inexcusable! They will almost certainly be demoted or sacked because of that - when, even it it had been breaking company policy to not accept all the orders, they'd only have got a minor ticking off for it. And where's the sign warning drivers that multiple orders aren't accepted? They haven't a leg to stand on!

      @@paulharvey9149 We were in a TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT situation. Manager was hiding from us. Staff felt entitled to be rude and act out to customers. That is only enabled by the manager accepting that behaiour and there were few enough staff on to see that taking place.

    I work for Maccies in Pembrokeshire (not the Dock) and we've been told by headoffice to not do multiple orders on drive thru. They didn't say why. Just not to do it. Even for care workers.
    As of late, Maccies is heavily understaffed and busy as hell. So people coming through and kicking off because they won't just stick it in one card isn't anything new. The staff were probably getting abuse all day from people like you. Yes the person shouldn't have stuck the middle finger up. And them "standing around" is, in my experience, usually debating what to do regarding police or taking your cars details so you'll be refused service in future.
    However you were also antagonistic by whipping your phone out and yelling at Drive Thru. I don't see why you couldn't have just put it all on one card then split it or just got someone else to pay next time. My banking app literally has a "split the bill" button.
    We are constantly getting abuse and harrassment from customers from the second we start our shifts.
    It's just junk food, a luxury item. There's really no need to get so dramatic over it and some of these comments are absolutely ridiculous.

I stand by filming them and the more people laugh at them and avoid that McDoanalds Pembroke the sooner it gets fixed or they can close as far as im concerned. Headoffice are wrong.     McDonald's is the worst fast food service in the USA. If they screw your meal up they usually WILL tell you to come back and get a free one later. That being said I used to work early in the AM and stopped in one morning to get a McBagel or something. They screwed it up. I called back and told them so. They told me to come back next day and get a free one. They screwed that one up too. I called, the same, come get a free one. I am not joking here but I ate free for the entire week! They screwed up my screwed up, screwed up meals over and over!
    There is a reason when you actually do get food from them you pull up one car length, stop, dig through the bag and check it because it's almost a trope that they fucked up your meal.

    Shocking down there mate. When it first opened in the late 2000’s, all the staff got sacked as they caught some of the staff spunking in the mayonnaise, the found traces of semen in the tomato sauce too. They also caught people spitting in the burgers and they had rats there as well. I would avoid going there again 🤮

      they firstluy said its the branches choice to take multiple orders or not. Seems bloody stupid though to tell someone to go round 4 times... but headoffice didnt seem interest3ed in this. I also said yeah what about the ignoring me and then giving me the finger... they said they would investigate that and get back to me.... one week on ive heard nothing.

      shows how much you know about the law. Its only illegal to use a phone to communicate on the mobile networks. You can use its camera, its gps and you can use a handheld radio. You just cant talk or text on a mobile phone because that makes use of the mobile networks. Police use their two way radios as do ham and cd users and theres zero illegal about it. It also isnt illegal to have the engine running when your in the car. You cant have it running when your not in the car. Sorry to educate you.

    How is it not normal behaviour? Maybe it was an inconvenient method they asked you to do maybe due to the procedure of the pandemic. Yeah it freaking sucks but what could they have done to manage the demand of multiple orders? Does it hurt to be a bit more patient? You were kind of difficult and demanding and starting to get abusive trying to provoke a reaction with filming. How is unsolicited filming people against their will not doxxing or a violation? You could have just made a formal complaint or go to another outlet. Why the need for provocation? I think if you did not film but just engage in civil discussion firmly requesting to be served promptly without being rude or demanding on your part, they might not have flipped the bird at you but instead served you. You sounded like a bully getting abusive for not getting your way.

      Maybe coz it was late and noone checks a maccies like in a dump like the Dock, the staff just can't be arsed with multiple orders, and they know they will probably get away with it especially if the manager can't be arsed either.

      @@RiotinlondonW1 The thing is the customer was being a prick and borderline abusive on top of the video recording probably to provoke a reaction from already stressful workers who clearly do not have to entertain a bully like behavior of the customer. They clearly stated properly that they do not want to be recorded in a negative manner on top of probably being busy all day and into the night having to deal with a customer that wants to be treated in a perfect way like a king. He talks about normal behaviour? How was his behaviour with the name calling he used any better? The other customers were more normal than him probably just trying to wait in line to order food and will not talk so much demanding more things and being difficult. Doesn't he know human nature towards video recording like this? I thought good customer service goes both way and not being a prick on the part of the customer. Granted, the customer is entitled to receive prompt service and be served the correct food/items properly and on time but not in addition to bait a response or doxx the staff to demand good service. I see a lot of RUclips videos having the cameraman provoking a reaction by being too demanding and abusive when things don't go perfectly his way. Being like that won't go a long way in getting good service. Those people are also human beings with feelings and ought to be treated decently.

      @@Zacky51188 Are you a Dock boy? I am a former one, left years ago. In Kent now, but remember the town well, as grew up there. I see trip advisor reviews on this plac (Maccies I mean) are pretty bad though, worth checking out before entering the Dock maccies. I personally would take my own grub on an explore so as to be free from money and time restraints, especially late night food venues where you have piss heads,awkward staff and customers etc to deal with on top of any lousy customer service. It all can get a bit emotiional at times.Yea your right that some youtubers can provoke things and it can add to their viewage and stat i guess. I have to say though, personalities aside which differ from person to person I do like Matts videos especially the solo ones he goes on. The group ones tend to be more noisy for me, though good in general.

      @@RiotinlondonW1 Well, what I can say is that the customer could have just ordered several food items in one order to share among four of them in the car like for example four burgers with two large fries and drinks or a McSharing box with 6 or 12 pieces McWings and 12 pieces Chicken McNuggets with drinks not four separate individual orders if it was impossible for that outlet's policies due to Covid management rules.

    I know McDonald's are hardly noted for customer service here in the UK but this is shocking. No one showing any leadership. No one demonstrating even a hint of professionalism. I honestly think the "manager" (hard to actually ascertain who this was), the guy putting trays up at the window and the woman who gave you the finger need to be dismissed. You were a difficult customer but part of their job in customer services is to manage that. All they did was inflame the situation and are not exactly good brand ambassadors (to put it mildly). This really puts me off McDonald's.

    Seems about right for Pems. Place is a right shithole. Given that there's mop buckets everywhere I'd say they were cleaning down cos they were planning on a quiet night. Don't really understand what saying either; an order is a order. No matter how many things are placed on an order, it's still a singular order, so I'm baffled by the logic

    Why are you even at McDonald’s right now? Idk what it’s like there but here in the states McDonald’s has raised their prices to INSANE levels, might as well go to a nice restaurant to get a to go order… A single double cheeseburger usually costs 99cents-1.35$, that same burger now costs 3$+!! I always order the same thing when I go(FOR YEARS) and the total was always 8$ and change, my same order now cost almost 13$!!! For MCDONALDS!!

    This same thing has happened in front of me in Painton near Torquay in a KFC, the children working there were unattended it was like lord of the flys, in the end they couldn't get any staff capable of running the shop and it closed down this happened 10 years ago, so God knows what these new children are like , they are pathetically childish .

    Take it to corporate in America, used to run a drive thru years back and if someone made a complaint to UK company it was all swept under the carpet but if someone complained to the US head office they would send in the "banshees" which were specially trained troubleshooting managers who examined every aspect of an outlet, aka "full force" inspection and they were called banshees because every outlet they visited people were sacked and managers demoted. BTW have you picked up on the Live Free debacle? 12 weeks in the nick for his part in a argument online, super excessive in my book :( Other side didn't get nicked as suggested he's a police grass :(
