*WMATA:* The Deeper The Station, The Slower The Elevator
Nice lift Dieselducy
I found the escalators at Woodley Park pretty deep too. I've been on the whole red line in April of 2019.
They are really steep too.
Oh man. What a slow elevator!
I haven't been on the Red Line north of Fort Totten, and this includes Wheaton and Forest Glen.
This is very SSSSSSLLLLLLLOOOOOOOWWWWWWW.
Not the speediest but it's clean and runs well.
I wouldn’t say it runs well
Check my video out and see what happen.
You should go down a station to forest glen, it’s the deepest station with fast elevators
"Soft touch" floor passing chime? Also, those call buttons at the S level looked like original US round.
An inclined elevator should be placed in the middle of the escalators
what are A3, A2, A1 and SV?
RIP the people died at Wheaton
The system where the inside button registers automatically when the outside button is pressed Ive only really seen in target stores
Dc metro does this too
It broke last time we went there
Also those trains were put out of service.
Which trains are out of service?
@@DieselDucy those silver colored trains
They are newer and have been pulled after a derailment
Looks like an automated elevator to me.
This thing is just... no. I rode it and probably won't again unless for a video lol
Is this the deepest one in the system?
No, that would be Forest Glen.
@@Ih8kone this voice on the elevator is heard at the vienna metro station
@@nickpodas5636 How is that possible.
Subway elevators have a way of doubling as urinals.
Did you see the videos I sent you?
That is one slow elevator
It needs to be converted to traction.
I think it is traction.
Couldn't they have gone with a traction elevator, maybe 300 to 400 FPM? It certainly would be faster and more efficient.
Yes and yes, for sure. It baffles me as to why they did not.
@@xHadesStamps Agreed.
Generic brand with Dover Traditional vandal resistant fixtures. Or US vandal resistant.
What are the floors between street level?
A3, A2, A1, SV
First wow that elevator is a piece of crap
Being as slow as it is could it possibly be a hydraulic elevator system.
Definitely not. This is way too tall.
I do believe it is
